    Robot waiter patiently waiting
    Elena D.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The location has been so many different things over the years, ever since the ol' pizza place left so coming in to have all the seating on one level was a new experience and the lightened up, coastal decor was a change. The staff was friendly and efficient, but the robot "waiter" really threw me off. I don't quite understand it... other than carrying more than two things at once, I wasn't sure if we were supposed to interact with it or what. I was not prepared for that haha. Anyway, we ordered the Combo 2 (crab and shrimp w/o heads) and the waiter talked us into the Louisiana flavor with medium spice. Plus we ordered a cup of clam chowder and sweet potato fries. We had barely started on those items when our bag arrived. The provide gloves, bibs, a bucket and plastic utensils, plus wipes for after. You will need it. Our waiter was even trying to convince us to throw food at each other. The food was very good, you know its probably terrible for you with all the butter and salt but still delicious. It was a very good experience, and had leftovers. If anything, they needed extra gloves, mine fell apart. Anywho, I will return. YES it is expensive but hell, its seafood, when isn't that expensive? And its an experience. I wish there was something like this on the Oregon coast, wouldn't the seafood be extra fresh then?

5 star experience from our amazing server Drew! She was incredibly informative and helpful when ordering, making sure we had everything we needed and keeping our drinks full. I'd highly recommend asking for her if you visit! I brought my Cajun grandfather here for his birthday, and while we enjoyed the meal overall, we have a few notes. The fries had great flavor but could have been cooked a little longer for a crispier texture. We ordered a seafood boil with snow crab, crawfish, shrimp, corn, sausage, and potatoes, opting for garlic butter with very light spice. The seasoning was spot on--previously, the mild was too spicy for us, but this was just right. That said, the crab and crawfish were overcooked, making them difficult to get out of the shell, which took away from the experience. On the other hand, the potatoes were slightly undercooked. If they can fine-tune these details, it would really elevate the meal. While we'd return for a special occasion, you might have better luck preparing seafood at home or checking out Newman's for fresh, well-prepared options.

This place just recently opened up and we decided to give it a try. Our first impression was that it seemed affordable for the price and not too crowded for a weekday. We ordered: -Cajun fries (5/5 perfectly seasoned and crispy) -Cajun wings (5/5 seasoned good as well and had a crispy batter; came out super temperature hot) -Calamari rings (5:5 super crunchy and not overcooked, had a great sauce accompanied with it) -Seafood boil (4.5/5 get the Louisiana style sauce; the atomic sauce was not my favorite) Overall, this was a huge improvement to the previous seafood boil place that was here. Would come back again!

No fancy bells, no whistle and just honest, no-frills service and fish so fresh you'd swear it still had stories to tell. I wandered in and found a small seating area tucked away, nothing flashy, just folks there for the same reason: good food. And good food it was. The fish was fresh, cooked right, and full of flavor and none of that overworked nonsense, just straight-up tasty. If you're looking for glitz, keep wandering. But if you want a solid meal that feels like it came straight off the boat, this is your spot. I'd happily cast my line here again. I am sad my daughter is graduating because I most likely won't have a chance to be back . Sad !!

Sunday brunch menu is limited but has some great options that aren't available other days. The chicken and biscuit sandwich was amazing! One of the best biscuits I have tasted in a while. The bacon was crisp and wonderful. The over medium egg was perfect. My Diet Coke was never empty this time and the rest of the service was also on point. We had a fun discussion with one of the owners, I think and were convinced of his love of good food and New Orleans. Nate 2026 Newport, Oregon…read more Came here based on recommendations from somebody in Bend, Oregon, and a local. I will start by saying I was not impressed. We had a reservation and they took us in a few minutes early and sat us upstairs. We sat near the window that overlooks the harbor and could see it from our table. Very pretty. There is a bar area and other tables that are away from the window that don't have the same view. When we were approached by the waitress, she informed us that they were out of Dungeness crab. Our reservation was at 6:15 PM. Seems a bit odd that a town known for Dungeness crab and the restaurant doesn't have it during peak dinner hours. My husband ordered a cup of clam chowder, and I ordered a cup of the Dungeness crab soup. I loved the creaminess of my soup. However, it was not served hot. Also, there were so many shells in my soup that every bite I had to remove one from my mouth. I do believe that the roux sauce had too much flour and was not mixed well. The clam chowder was not creamy, but had a good flavor. Chunks of carrot and celery. Both soups were served with a portion of bread. The bread was good. We shared the salmon dish. We asked our waitress if we could have the peas on the side as my husband has an allergy to peas. She was quick to tell me that there would be no substitutions. I informed her I was merely asking for the peas to put on a separate dish when brought to the table. She said that she would need to clear it with the kitchen first. Apparently, they approved, as the peas were served on the side. We did enjoy the salmon. It is cooked, medium rare. However, the middle of the salmon fillet was more rare. The buttery sauce was delicious and the asparagus was cooked very well. The mushrooms were delicious. The restaurant is very casual. The outside is not much to look at. The service was fine, but not exceptional. The food was good, but my expectations were so much higher for all of the accolades I had heard prior to dining. They add an automatic tip of 20% to every tab. Then on the bill, they politely ask for an additional gratuity. See the picture of the reason for their 20% gratuity on each bill in the photos that I have attached. I would give this restaurant four stars. It is a B rating for what should be an A restaurant.

The unique mix of decorations and the adaptable tables and benches give the place a one-of-a-kind charm. I highly recommend it if you enjoy a vibrant dining atmosphere. The customer service was exceptional. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and impressively fast without ever making us feel rushed. You can tell they genuinely care about the experience. Now, the food--starting with the chowder. It was delicious, packed with large chunks of potato and generously sized clams. A very solid start to the meal. The French fries were cooked perfectly crispy, though a bit on the bland side--definitely better with ketchup. The salad, on the other hand, was a standout. Easily a 10/10. The shrimp were great, and the freshness and crispness of the greens really made it shine. For the main courses, the shrimp melt was fantastic--great portion size and loaded with both cheese and shrimp. They definitely didn't skimp. The shrimp skewers with fettuccine Alfredo were absolutely amazing and full of flavor. Lastly, the fish tacos had some highs and lows. The portion size was great, and both the sauce and salsa were very enjoyable. However, the fish itself was a bit bland and relied on the toppings to carry the flavor. Overall, I loved my experience and would absolutely recommend checking this place out!

We ordered the fettuccine Alfredo w/ grilled shrimp (which had crispy breadcrumbs)-- this happened to be our favorite since it was well seasoned and al dente. We ordered blackened fish tacos, it was a little dry and wished it had more flavor. They came with sides od your choice, we went with coleslaw and bay shrimp added- pleasantly sweet, and clam chowder-pretty decent.
