Amazing food, best egg sandwiches and chicken salad in Deer park. Quick service, good prices, small business.

I really enjoy their breakfast platters, like the western omelette and home fries. Their French toast platter is phenomenal as well, a must try. They do get busy, but don't let that scare you away. They have parking in the front and back plus, make an online order to skip the line THEN pick it up to the left door...they have an extension now that was built specifically for online orders.

Not crunchy at all, just exactly how a bagel should be. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a rainbow bagel with salt, pepper, and ketchup. I had never done the salt and pepper with ketchup combo before, but my friend recommended it and I am so glad she did. It was incredible. I could not stop thinking about these bagels the entire weekend. We literally ended up going both days. The ambience was chill, exactly what you would want from a bagel spot. The customers were kind and friendly and the service matched that same energy. I am so grateful my friend brought me here and introduced me to what real, fresh bagels are supposed to taste like. This place is unforgettable.

I'm a native NYCer, so I don't like these gigantic airy bagels that are all over Long Island. I'm…read moreused to Ess-A-Bagel, Zaro's at Grand Central Terminal, Bagel Nosh, Russ & Daughters, and many others. I went to Steve's bc I was dropping off a package at the store next door. Someone once told me the term "hot bagels" on a store meant they were "authentic" bagels. So when I saw Steve's, I was intrigued. I got six excellent bagels: two onion, two garlic, two egg-everything. They were not huge. They were normal size, perfectly baked and had plenty of seasoning on both sides but not too much. They were delicious. We liked them so much I sent my husband there on a Thursday a few weeks later and he came home with the same types of bagels. They were undercooked. They were overly large and they did not have much seasoning on them. Most of them had nothing on the bottom and a few barely had any seasoning on top. I understand that they use different bakers on different days, so whoever baked the bagels for Wednesday, April 8, 2026? He or she should get a raise and teach the others how to make bagels. The service was fine, btw. I wouldn't say "friendly," but it was attentive.

So, I decided to head on over. It's a tiny spot. So, I waited a bit before going in since there was already 4 other people inside and that literally took up all the space inside. I ordered the "Stallone Cheesesteak" and the Papacino Italiano w/ no tomatoes. The Italiano was good, but could be better. Too much dressing, and the peppers made the hero super mushy. It tasted ok, nothing spectacular. Now the Stallone was sub par to say the least. I had high hopes for this one after reading all the great reviews about their sandwiches. The combo of hot Italian sausage and steak sounded pretty nice. However the execution was poor. The steak was over cooked and chewy & lacked flavor. The sausage was almost non existent in the sandwich & the pieces I had tasted bland. The tomato sauce made the sandwich a mess to eat & not in a good way. That hero was nothing close to garlicky. I didn't even finish it. It wasn't very appealing to eat. Too chewy and flavors were off. Maybe I'll give them another shot? But that's a huge maybe. Parking is available. Variety of drinks to choose from. If you pay with card they charge you more. Staff wasn't the most polite.

Papacinos…read moreis probably the last local bagel joint I've yet to try so when a few errands conveniently put me in that area I gave it a go. I generally don't comment on atmosphere but papacinos overall is alittle generic. You walk in and there's nothing that makes you hungry. I want to see display cases full of bagels that scream "eat me!". Papa's maybe had 8 varieties in total hidden behind the counter and they just didn't scream appetizing. I asked for the darkest sesame they had with butter. A good bagel should have a slightly crunchy outside with a doughy inner. This bagel for the most part accomplished that but in a completely forgetable way. They were very light on the butter which I don't mind but I always lean on the side of "more is better" as you can always remove some but you can't conjure more. Overall papacinos is neither good or bad. It's a 90mph fastball down the middle no movement. This is a problem because in a world of SUPER STARS being just a STAR DOESNT CUT IT New York 2.5-3 Anywhere else in this country 4
