I had never done the salt and pepper with ketchup combo before, but my friend recommended it and I am so glad she did. It was incredible. I could not stop thinking about these bagels the entire weekend. We literally ended up going both days. The ambience was chill, exactly what you would want from a bagel spot. They were delicious. We liked them so much I sent my husband there on a Thursday a few weeks later and he came home with the same types of bagels. They were undercooked. They were overly large and they did not have much seasoning on them. Most of them had nothing on the bottom and a few barely had any seasoning on top. I understand that they use different bakers on different days, so whoever baked the bagels for Wednesday, April 8, 2026? He or she should get a raise and teach the others how to make bagels. I have never had a poor experience here and every time I visit, there are a bunch of customers sitting and enjoying their food. There's are always old grandpas eating, having coffee, talking, reading the newspaper... I highly doubt poor customer service and crappy bagels keeps them coming back, LOL. I prefer these bagels over other DPA bagel stores and also love that I can make my own coffee to my liking. Their lox spread is legit, none of that weird fake pink stuff. Nice chunks of lox! Delicious. Their bagels are always fresh and never hard or burnt or overcooked. I never need to order mine toasted here, bagel people - you know what I mean. The staff is always nice and friendly.
