I am in love! I grew up on Long Island and I'm such a fan of bagels and I have had a hard time finding the perfect bagel in South Florida. Since this is located so close to where I live I was so happy to find out that not only do they have amazing bagels but they have amazing friendly service well. Dine in or take out you're not going to go wrong. They have breakfast and lunch and have a pretty extensive menu even if you're following a special diet like . low-carb. Had a breakfast sandwich and it was absolutely amazing. If you need to pick up breakfast for your office this is a great option since they seem to have something for everyone. This place is gross. Inside is dirty. Service is horribly slow. I get that some people like the "old timey" feel but at some point you cross a line that just becomes u settling old and dirty. Yum! Yum! Growing up on LI you get used to great bagel shops. Living in CT, that's hard to find. Visiting Florida and Bagel Snack is the place to go! Had a PERFECT sesame bagel with cream cheese and sliced nova. Husband ordered salami (Hebrew national, of course) and eggs on a bagel. Scrumptious! We've been coming here for years and have also used them for catering on several occasions. Delicious food and excellent bagels, and their seedless rye is something that we usually have in our house. One big problem though - terrible coffee. For me, that can make or break my breakfast. The prices can be a little high, but the food is worth it. But they really need to fix that coffee. read more

If I could give a zero I would. I ordered a breakfast through post mates this morning. The delivery driver did not deliver and did not call me. I called the store to try and figure a way to get in touch with the driver or ask what happened. The woman on the phone was sassing me and making jokes when all I did was inform her of the situation. She did not even bother to say sorry or try to make it right. Not only will I not use post mates there's no way in hell I'd bother to try this again. I've been here once before when I ate in and the food was fairly good, however I got an order for pick up this time and the experience was the complete opposite. I got there and there was a huge amount of congestion where i was trying to pay for my food and I had to wait behind 8 people that ate in as there was only one register. It took me 15 minutes to pay for my takeout order. I got home and my food was cold. I only live 5 minutes away. I was even more disappointed that my bagel sandwich wasn't even wrapped in foil like most bagel shops do. It was wrapped in a cardboard box and a huge brown paper bag so I had to heat my food up in the microwave. I also thought there wasn't much meat in my sandwich either. Their online menu is about 10 years off the actual prices. Any Jewish Deli in NY includes all 5 Burroughs puts this joint to shame. Flies everywhere, no matter when you go inside, early morning, late morning or afternoon, flies all over the food in the back, I saw flies caught in the pickle cases. Oh! BTW, you better check your receipts/bill that you sign with your credit or debit cards, incompetence at the counter, twice they either double or triple overcharged the card. When you confront them, John the owner is a wise ass, he plays dumb and "it's the customers fault for not looking at the card when you sign it". Floors are filthy, walls have grease on them, it's just a dreary looking place. Food is weak & a week old, the bagels are fresh but sticky and have a burnt smelly aroma to them. a great find! while staying in Pompano Beach, my family and I wanted to grab some bagel breakfasts before making the long drive out to Key West - we wanted something filling and fast. i got on my trusty Yelp, and bagel snack showed up as the closest place to our hotel. when we got there and walked in, we were surprised to find that it was a full on restaurant - the restaurant name made it appear to me that it was going to be a simple bagel shop. so although we originally wanted something fast, we figured it would be easier to sit down and have everyone eat before the drive - also, we were just dying for some full breakfast plates. first off, the service here is great. all of the staff are very friendly. lots of old people come here - my family and i were probably the only non-senior citizens here and asian people, haha. but i loved seeing so many cheerful elder people out enjoying breakfast in the morning. if you come before 11AM, they have some great breakfast deals - i got 2 eggs and bagel for $3 something. my mom got an omelet, and woah was it big. definitely some great home made tasting food here. i also loved their cream cheese, i ordered chives and i loved that it had fresh chives in it. overall, great local place for breakfast. read more

This place has been famous in my extended family for years and years and the bagels are great. That said however I must complain about a recent visit that I cannot let go unmentioned. I recently met family at the restaurant for a reunion lunch. The place was busy as usual but our waitress just didn't seem capable of dealing with all that was going on. She fumbled the order needing to come back to the table a few different times to confirm it. When the food did finally come out she almost threw my Aunt's plate at the table and in fact the omelette slid off the plate and on to the table. Not good, but accidents happen. It was taken away for another to be made fresh. Meanwhile all others had their food except my 4 year old who only asked for a sesame bagel with cream cheese. (Shouldn't the little ones get theirs first?) We had to ask for it again and when it was brought, no cream cheese. Ok not the end of the world, we got it eventually. Thank goodness my little one was behaving. So after some time my Aunt's second omelette arrives and as she is eating it she discovers what looks like a small branch or stick of wood of some kind in the omelette. At this point I'm pretty upset with all things considered and I complain to the waitress who says they'll take it off the bill as long as we give it back to the kitchen. But if we want a third omelet we'll have to pay for it. A third omelet?!? Really? It was said as if they were doing us a favor. Complaining about the experience to the manager did little good. He seemed as if he could care less and had other more important things to do and was doing me a favor for even speaking with me. He said he would "allow" us to have the omelette taken off the bill and would take care of it. However when the bill came it was not removed and the waitress said I would need to take it up with the manager. I asked for him to come to our table to readdress but he was too busy so again they did me a favor and took it off the bill. Really ridiculous! In conclusion, if your food comes as you like it then you will enjoy it I'm sure. If not, look out! It may be just tough luck on you. There is this sarcastic sign at the cash register that says something about all valid complaints expired yesterday. They are really not kidding. The whole experience makes me wonder if the place has changed hands since I started going there more than 30 years ago. read more

The bagels were excellent. The Nova Scotia lox like a New York deli. Fresh, and flavorful. As we're the tomatoes and lettuce. The delicatessen meats were succulent. The rye bread fresh. Accompanied with excellent coleslaw, pickles and potato salad. Homemade potato Knishes were like grandma made. We took out so we cannot comment on the wait staff. Everything was great. I have been to Bagel Snack twice for breakfast. One of my pals brought me - it is close by and we are able to sit and have conversation in peace. The everything bagel is delicious - crunchy toasted and chewy like a bagel should be. I usually order eggs over medium and they are cooked to my liking. The wait staff gets your order in and out. The cashier takes your money and no one is overly friendly - so I don't go for the customer service just the location and the fact that my pal loves it here. The Bagel Snack is a wonderful deli located in an older strip center on Powerline. I traditional Jewish deli with table seating and a 'to-go' counter - The wait staff can be 'brash' but most are from NY and their service is great; w/ attitude. Frequented by local older customers but a great place for breakfast and lunch. I would go back in a heart beat and based on where I was staying; I'd walk to the Bagel Snack. Bypass IHOP in the same parking area and head to the Bagel Snack . Johanne was our server and she was wonderful. Prices are inline on what you get as really fresh items as I had the Club Sandwich with fries and all was wonderful. Want good food --- You'll get it there - They also treat you with great dill pickles and slaw (complementary) before your meal arrives and so so good. read more
