I stopped here with some friends Sunday September 21, 2025 for breakfast before we returned to Reno. It was moderately busy at around 10:30AM. The two employees behind the counter handled the patrons before me and my friends, we were a group of 6, in a "you go I go" fashion, where one employee handled a handful of customers, and the other employee a second handful and so on. There was a fair selection of bagels still by the time we got there. I was excited to try my favorite bagel combo of a chocolate chip bagel and honey almond cream cheese. Other members in the group opted for actual bagel sandwiches with eggs and other fixings. We didn't wait very long to have our food made and rang up. We were in and out in 10 minutes, which is a great turn around time. Employees were super friendly and seemed to enjoy their job. I was hesitant to try this place because of the lower star rating on Yelp... but so glad I did! It deserves 4 stars, imo. (Agree with Jake T.) Husband brought some for breakfast after preschool drop off and it made my morning! They ran out of everything bagel so he got me an onion bagel with sun-dried tomato cream cheese. Bagel was toasted nicely with a good crunch and I loved how the onion flakes were also toasted. Not a flavor you'd want going into the office, though (lol). Also got a toasted sesame bagel with cream cheese and, same story, it had a great crunch and flavor. The texture is critical for me (crunchy outside and chewy inside). Solid bagel shop. read more

Restroom was dirty. Front door is broken slams and they don't fix it. There aren't enough seats for people to sit. Their egg mix is watered down with flour or something, doesn't taste like a real egg. read more

Saturday morning, place was pretty busy, had a line out the door. Line moved very fast, has a good selection of bagels and a few other items. Theyade sandwich and salads as well. Wanted to get a bagel sandwich but saw that they microwaved the eggs and meat so just went a normal bagels route with a herb spread. Not sure what went wrong here. I walked in, there are 5 bagels left, so it seems like a pretty popular place. There were a couple people waiting for their sandwiches. A lady comes out to take my 1 bagel and cream cheese order, made the bagel and charged me $5. I pointed to the menu and said I didn't understand the pricing because it says a bagel is $2. It lists the toppings below the bagel pricing, but there's no charge listed for the toppings, not even a place for a price to be listed. Their "specialty" bagel is listed as $2.70. No specifics on what that is. She made no effort to explain the difference in price, just repeted the price was $5. I was hungry and unwilling to leave without food and she wasn't willing to be honorable to her own pricing, so I paid and left. Guess I won't be back. read more

I hate to leave this review, but my bagel eggwich had no flavor? Tasted like the oven. I feel like the oven hasn't been cleaned and maybe that's what made the bagel just taste like nothing? This establishment on Camino Tassajara in Danville shows a complete lack of professionalism and customer service. Both individuals who appear to run the place were rude during my order pickup, and I was shocked when the older man physically touched me by slightly pushing me and telling me to leave while I was checking my order. Asian lady working today was very short and rude the entire time I was ordering. I go to pay with cash and she shakes her head and says "no sorry". I then pay with Apple Pay assuming they don't take cash (which is already questionable), and as I'm leaving she noticeably talks under her breath to me. I had such an amazing experience at this store yesterday! I am from out of the area and placed an order for pickup right before closing time. I was craving Egg Salad, and I have always loved Bagel Street Cafe, and have been to many of their Bay Area Locations. Where I come from if you place an order near closing time, it is not always a wonderful experience. Staff treats you rudely and does a bad job making the food. This man working at the Tassajara location was BEYOND adorably sweet!!!! He called me right away to tell me that he did not have the bread I requested in my DoorDash Order. I always get 2-3 egg which bagel breakfast sandwiches and they are great! My favorite is the jalapeño and Colby with eggs, bacon and no cheese. If they have sold out of jalapeño and colby then they generously add jalapeños to whatever bagel chosen. This is the bagel shop by next to CVS and Safeway - Blackhawk plaza. Please do not make the mistake of visiting this BS (Bagel Street) location unless you're looking for a horrible experience. The owner is incredibly rude and off putting, the bagels are hard, the muffins soggy, and the prices are boutique. A single, hard bagel is $2.90. Want a dollop of cream cheese on it? This is the friendliest location. Norberto keeps the line moving with a smile. We just wish their toaster was a little stronger like the SR location. Their toaster was made by Easy-Bake oven people. Also they are very often out of SALT bagels. If they sell out as often as they do, you would think they would learn to make more. We love it here though. read more

I've been coming to this bagel shop for YEARS with my friends and coworkers. Joe and his wife always know our order and greet us so kindly. He always knows we love chocolate muffins on our busy days at the office and today he threw in a chocolate chip cookie for us too! I love how clean the cafe is, the variety of food and almost everything is made fresh by them daily even down to the banana bread! Always priced fair and really quick when in a rush if you have a short lunch break. I'd give the bagel shop more stars if I could! We love you Joe! Will never go hear again. I usually go to the one in the Whole Foods shopping center in San Ramon where I can run in and get what I want..l pay with Apple Pay and leave. This place... I order at the front and ask if he has Apple Pay he says abruptly $5 min. I'm like well I have $100 cash can u break that. Yes I can, he replied rudely. Never disappointed with a trip to Bagel Street Cafe. Joe and his team always greet us enthusiastically and know my order by heart. Veggie deluxe with avocado no onion on Dutch crunch lol The Dutch crunch is some of the best I've ever had and it's baked daily in house. Veggie sandwiches are loaded and the veggies are always super fresh. The muffins are so good you won't want to share them. I highly recommend the chocolate ones! Ask for it warmed up a bit My friends also love the BLT's, breakfast burritos, and pizza bagels they make. Even for the times when I'm trying to eat less bread they make great salads. On some Saturdays our boss will pickup bagels and cream cheese for the staff and they are always loved. Joe makes all the cream cheese flavors as well. It use to be my favorite bagel place for over 15 years. It just changed owners and not the same They are not nearly as friendly,have trouble understanding anything you're asking, and have misunderstood my order a number of times hence giving me the wrong things. The bagels are not the same,now are very lightweight and not as dense as the old bagels. My normally go to order of lox cream cheese bagel, was definitely different. The lox is barely there and smelled a tiny bit fishy. I also ordered the scallion spread that I always have gotten in the past and it went bad in just a couple of days! My in laws live in this area and before heading back down to LA had to pick up these bagels. Probably some of the best bagels I've had in a while. We used to live in New York and you can't really get a good bagel where we live. The people working were SO friendly. Great food, great people. Can't ask for more.
