Stopped into Bagel Street recently and had a good overall experience. The bagels were definitely the highlight.. soft, fresh, and exactly what you'd hope for from a bagel shop. I'd recommend sticking with one of the bagel and cream cheese combinations, as those seemed to be the strongest menu items during our visit. The bagel sandwich with sausage and egg was decent, but not quite as impressive as the bagels themselves. The muffin we tried didn't seem quite as fresh, which was a little disappointing. Pricing was also on the higher side, especially for a fountain drink at around $4, and about half of the soda options were unavailable when we visited. On the positive side, the restaurant was clean, well-maintained, and had plenty of seating, making it a comfortable place to enjoy breakfast or grab a quick bite. Overall, a solid stop for fresh bagels, and I'd happily return to try more of their bagel and cream cheese offerings. read more

I've been to a few few Bagel Street Cafe locations around the East Bay and this one's my closest location. The bagels here seem a little softer than other locations and I appreciate the portioning -- they don't skimp! We always get a Lox on jalapeño cheddar bagel, scallion cream cheese, everything on it including red onions and capers. The good: Solid local spot. Consistent, and the jalapeño cheddar bagel with lox is genuinely a great combo. The toppings are fresh and they load it up right. The not so good: Nearly $30 for two bagel sandwiches is a lot to ask for what is ultimately a pretty average bagel. These aren't the airy, pillowy kind or the dense, chewy New York-style kind...they're just... fine. If you're a bagel purist, you'll notice. I've had it with the tip-shaming. The staff here is surly and unfriendly and they have the gall to turn the iPad around for a tip. They don't bring the food to the table, they're being paid regular wages, not like a waiter/waitress who has to rely on tips. If the owners aren't paying a decent wage, that's on them, not the customers. If the staff were friendly and courteous, I'd be way more willing to leave something, but the attitude of the staff here is downright rude. The Dublin location, where the staff are friendly and welcoming, doesn't do this BS. Enjoy your extra $1.25! Don't spend it all in one place! Decided to give this location a shot since I work next door and enjoy the Walnut Creek location. Was a little hesitant given the other reviews but a breakfast bagel sandwich sounded good. I got this Eggwich on a plain bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. When I took it home and heated it up, it looked disgusting. The bacon wasn't cooked and it looked like mystery meat! I took the Eggwich back to Bagel Street Cafe, and the lady gave me a flimsy excuse why my Eggwich looked like something I've never seen before. She gave me my money back, but she had an attitude and she didn't apologize for my inconvenience driving back to the cafe to get my money back because my sandwich was jacked up. This is a chain bagel place near Whole Foods San Ramon. They have been around a while and serve their customers nicely. They cafe is nicely maintained. The bagels and sandwiches are always consistently good. We typically get the turkey sandwich add avocado. The bagels are freshly sliced and toasted before adding the ingredients. They have a full service espresso machine for those of us that like our lattes. They serve fresh bagels. If you come late in the day you won't have many choices which is a good thing. Oldie but goodie. Haven't been here in years. Was driving my mom around on errands and ended up at Target just before the lunch rush around 11-ish. Hadn't eaten breakfast so decided to grab a bite while waiting for mom. Huge bagels and they don't stint on fillings. Loved the shatteringly crisp bacon on my BLT. Mom was more interested in shopping but I got her a tuna melt ToGo. The tuna needed a dash of salt but the open faced sandwich was so big she only ate half of a half. This place is a hidden gem. The bagels are fresh and made every morning. The selection of flavors are excellent. In addition they make the best sandwiches made fresh with fresh baked breads. For the second time in a row I ordered the eggwich club, and also for the second time they neglected to make it the way they advertise. It is supposed to have egg, turkey breast, bacon and avocado inside. Last week when I door dashed it, I received it minus the bacon and avocado. I tried calling the provided number, and got no answer. I emailed the email address they give, told the about the problem, included pictures...no respose. Nothing. Today I said to myself "That was probably a one off mistake, ill order again". Todays order was a bit closer, but still not what I paid for. this time it was missing the bacon. I have been charged 3 different prices for the exact same item within the span of a week. They have charged way more than the advertised price. When I asked the lady who rung me up about it she looked at me and walked away, ignoring my questions and refused to come up to the register to talk to me again. If you're going to raise prices you should have them listed to be transparent to your customers. I asked for a receipt, but it doesn't have any information breaking down the costs except for the final charge to you. They also made the complete wrong sandwich.
