I read that Bageletto keeps fresh bagels coming all day long. I believe it, but I think their bagel with cream cheese was underwhelming. I got the everything bagel with lox schmear. It was $3 for the everything bagel and $5 for lox schmear, just a dollar more than the $4 scallion schmear, which is what I would normally get. The bagel itself didn't have a lot of flavor, and it was a bit too chewy, dense and dry. Maybe needed a bit more toasting? I did appreciate the nuttiness of the sesame, since that was the dominant ingredient in their everything mix. Maybe their bagel sandwiches are better options, but I wanted to get something simple to really taste the bagel. I prefer Boichik's. Quick service and no wait on a week day. I've been looking for a good bagel sandwich place for awhile now and my friend told me about this place! Apparently, it's a newly opened bagel sandwich spot that opened recently, so we decided to try it. We went here on a Saturday around 2pm and there was a long wait (the card reader machine was broken that day) and his restaurant is card only. They also have a variety of free samples here, so that helped with the long wait. We were originally planning to order two sandwiches here, but then decided to just order one since we weren't that hungry anyways. We shared the Lookout bagel sandwich on a Garlic bagel. That sandwich contains turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and aioli inside. Even half of that sandwich was super filling for me because of how stuffed the sandwich was! Only thing I would change would be to add more sauce since the sandwich was a bit dry. I'd recommend this place! Everything here is made to order, so you know your sandwich will be fresh and you can choose what bagel you want. They also sell things like coffee and tea here too. I really liked the addition of broccoli rabe to my Mattina Cotto sandwich - it added just the right balance of veggies to pair with the eggs + bagel. Super excited for this place to open up near us. However, it didn't live up to expectations. We got the sesame bagel with bacon and fig schmear and the open faced lox. We were first in line and waited about 15-20 mins for our order. Bagels were hard and wasn't worth the wait. The open faced lox was messy and the red onions were sliced thick - not sure if this was their intention but pickled onions are usually pretty thin! It overpowered the whole bagel. Picked up a half dozen from Bageletto and was seriously impressed. The bagels have that ideal chewy texture with a nice crisp on the outside. I tried a mix of flavors and they were all solid, but the nice surprise is the bacon and fig schmear. Sweet, smoky, creamy--just an awesome combo that I didn't know I needed. Was craving bagels and ordered doordash. I've been searching for a good bagel spot after living in NYC for several years and it has been a hard search to find a spot remotely close to a NY bagel. This spot I can say is probably the closest. Crisp on the outside and soft/chewy on the inside. The balance of flavors for the Loaded & Lox bagel is excellent - creaminess from the cream cheese, salt from the lox and capers, and acid from the pickled onions - very filling. I did order it toasted. True test would be if it was still equally as good untoasted since you don't toast bagels in NYC. I did order several bagels to eat for the week and I can say they still tasted good untoasted! I did warm them for a few seconds in the microwave - either way highly recommend! read more

Trying out this new bagel spot! The flavors of bagel variety are delicious, as well as the shmears and customizations you can make! I tried the Jalapeño Cheese Bagel with Fig & Bacon Shmear. Let me tell you, it changed my life. Someone who loves custom shmears, this one is the one. It has a perfect balance of sweet and savory. My partner got the Garlic with the Lox shmear, and it was also so good! There are good size chunks of lox in the shmear which make it flavorful, and not like any typical one we've had. The bagels are perfectly made, dense and fluffy at the same time, without having to fight your bagel for that first bite. The amount of shmear is perfect. The Ambiance is very calm, everyone seems in a great mood and the staff are super friendly. The line was out the door, but worth the wait! I'm sad to report that the bagels have slipped. The last few times they didn't seem fresh - really hard and seemed stale or like they were left out too long. Also overly doughy and dense - which makes me wonder if they're cutting corners with the bagel making process (under-proofing, over-mixing the dough or incorrect ingredients ratio. Doesn't seem like they are doing what they said when they opened -- baked fresh all day. They don't freeze well anymore -- they come out gummy and overly doughy and the crust cracks and separates now, which also indicates a change in the bagel making process, underproofing (same freezer method I've always used). They used to come out like fresh after warming. I waited to try a few times before updating my review. I usually go in the afternoon. The sandwiches are still good, but I won't be getting bagels there anymore. read more

I see why there are lines at this place now. Got here around 11am on a Sunday and there was a short line that moved somewhat slowly. I think it took me 30 minutes to get my bagel. The menu is extensive, with lots of options to choose from. No seating inside, but they have a clapboard that suggests nearby parks to picnic in. I ordered the Mattina Cotto ($15). It was an extra $1 to get the Calabrian chili bagel, but so worth it. These bagels are huge, and they're not dense like the New York bagels I've had, but fluffy and soft. The dough tore away like paper when I pulled on it. My jaw was grateful that it didn't have to work that hard. The egg and cheese was so soft and piping hot, and the prosciutto provided the perfect salty punch. I loved the Calabrian chili bagel. It had a bit of spiciness to it. This is a new bagel place in the area. It probably the best bagel I've ever had. I got the jalapeño cheese bagel with egg and cheese and added bacon for an extra 3 dollars. I would say that it's a bit of a treat since it's more expensive than other bagel places I've gone to. But worth the money I paid. The egg was fluffy and big. The bagel was surprisingly so filling. They did have two tables set outside so I ate there and it did not disappoint. Service was friendly and the guy brought my food and drink to the table outside. Ok who else is on the hunt for the perf bagels? Look no more!! Always down to try a new bagel spot because they aren't all very accessible. First, they make all their bagels in-house AND you don't get a bagel butt!! They give 2 tops of the bagel. Perf amount of chewiness and sooo good! The bagels are hefty too so you won't leave hungry. They let you take a peep into the back where the bagels are made too. Cashier was really sweet and let me go behind the counter to take pics of the cute bagel display. First time at Bagelleto and my experience was terrible! The customer service was terrible and I found a hair in my bagel! I went to go show them and the girl at the front just stood there and said okay! didn't offer to make a new one or refund me! I proceeded to tell her it's okay just take it back she then points at the crash and tells me to throw it away instead of her taking it! I went back 2 minutes later to ask for strawberry jelly! She looks at me and goes that'll be 3 dollars! I said oh you're going to charge me after finding a hair in my food and not doing anything about it! She didn't say anything, I walked out! The photo of the girl is attached! I would recommend not going at all! Response to Bradley! The mints in question were clearly presented as complimentary items. My children did not consume any candy, nor did they take anything without paying. They handled the items briefly and put them back. At no point was there any intent to take merchandise without purchase. Additionally, we spent approximately $70 during this visit. Given that level of spending, it does not make sense to suggest that I would act in bad faith or attempt to receive additional items at no cost over a single bagel concern. Raising an issue about food quality--especially something as basic as a hair--after already making a substantial purchase is a reasonable and standard customer service matter. Customer service should be consistent and respectful toward all patrons. It should not be influenced or judged based on the presence or behavior of young children, particularly when no wrongdoing occurred. Making assumptions about intent created an uncomfortable and unfair interaction. We are also a family of business owners, and from that perspective, this is not how customers should be treated--especially after making a significant purchase. When a customer has a poor experience, the appropriate response is to make the situation right, not to assume negative intent or escalate the interaction. I appreciate that management reviewed the situation and reminded staff to involve a manager and remain composed. Best bagel in the city that I've tried - chewy and soft. I think they're worth coming back for over and over despite their growing pains. It was their opening week--and with quite an ambitiously extensive menu--and it was clear they weren't expecting the amount of hype they got. Me and 50 other people who likely found them on Yelp or the SF Chronicle decided to come at 10-11 am on Sunday morning. Although there was a very short line to place the order and they were quoting 25-35 minute waits, it took just over an hour to get my bagels. Luckily I wasn't in a rush and didn't get my hopes up, seeing the number of people waiting for their bagels, but understand why folks were frustrated about the long wait. I will say they were extremely apologetic about the wait and were giving out a lot of free bagels, schmears, and coffee, which more than appeased me since we weren't in a rush anyway. My main qualm is that I'm 7 months pregnant and there were only two tables to sit at; I was able to snag one after about 50 minutes of waiting on my feet. As one might be able to predict, with this influx of business, they ran out of a few items. I believe they had most of their flavors of bagels still available, but they did run out of lox by the time we left around noon. I need to figure out what the best time to come to avoid a wait is! but at least on Sunday there are more parking spots available. read more

I've been here a few times. Bageletto has quality bagels and spread. I got my first breakfast sandwich ("classic egg and cheese") this morning. It's quite expensive at $11 and adding bacon is $3 extra. I took the plunge and ordered it with bacon. The photo they have online shows crispy bacon. My bacon wasn't crispy, which was disappointing. I also prefer a bit more bacon when I'm paying $15, before tip, for a cinnamon raisin (+$1) bagel with eggs, cheese, and bacon. I'll probably give it another chance one day but will specify crispy bacon. read more
