Yes there are many great bagel places across Manhattan - but this one always: 1. Gets the food right, menu 2. Will have a line, testimony to demand 3. Fast and efficient This is in my top three bagel places in all of Manhattan under 96th street. Got a lox bagel with cream cheese and a everything bagel with cream cheese and had peppers in both. One of the best lox bagels I have ever had. Was oozing with flavor. Highly recommend regardless of all income levels - to try this place at least once. Finally got to try a NY bagel and it was worth the hype! The staff was friendly and we were helped by one of the older gents. We got the Philly cheesesteak and the house special. Both are great, but the house special won it by a landslide for me. It's LOADED with salmon and cream cheese, like what? It's a lively grab and go but there's some outdoor/indoor seating. We ate here for breakfast every morning of our four day stay in Manhattan. The staff was so friendly and their bagels are to die for!!! Chewy, fresh, huge, and tasty. The best we have had. Good friends swear this is the best bagel in the city so I've been meaning to try it for a while. I attempted another day but they had a giant line on a Sunday morning in the rain. So needless to say I waited to return. I thought they were just bagels but was shocked to see it's a full blown deli with a massive menu and lots of baked goods too. The cookies are enormous. I tried an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. Loved the bagel and that fact that it was seasoned on both sides. The cream cheese was a bit watery for my liking. The best Everything bacon egg and cheese bagel I've ever had. We did get lucky though, the bagels just came out the oven and were steaming. Hint: If you are in a group, I suggest everyone order their own order, that way you have multiple people working on the order. The staff is very friendly, but this place is super busy so you need to know your order by the time you get to the counter. If you come at a slower time they will chat with you and make recommendations. Over the week we tried the plain bagel, everything bagel, and the onion bagel. I will say my favorite is the everything bagel and I love the scallion cream cheese. The coffee is pretty good, nothing special there. GET THE PISTACHIO MUFFIN!!! There are a few tables outside- but a lot of the chairs are broken so just be careful when you sit down. The display cases take up a large portion of the shop where they have a plethora of items to add to your bagel. Initially, I felt overwhelmed. No need!
