Just ordered 3 pounds of lechon. The flavor is not bad. My complaint is that it was mostly fat. I know, lechons is the skin and contains a lot of fat. But when my order is around 75 percent fat, there is something wrong with that. Do better, Bai Cebu. Not fair to spend over 20 bucks a pound and get mostly fat. I visited Bai Cebu Lechon for lunch today. It was my first visit. Made a special trip to Hayward from San Jose just to try the Lechon! I ordered Lechon and Dinuguan. The Dinuguan was flavorful, but not as good as the one I make. The Lechon was very good! I love the crunchy pork skin! Is it worth traveling 27 miles just to get the Lechon at Bai Cebu Lechon? No it's not! But if I happen to be in the area and craving Lechon then it's worth a consideration! The pricing at $22/lb is also a little steep! I hope the owners would consider opening a chain in San Jose! I think they'll get a lot of business from that area! read more

I finally found this only place, as far as I know, that cooks CebuChon! And it didn't disappoint. A little request, pls tone down on salt, imho. Tucked in a corner within busy shopping center. It's a little bit challenging to find it (at least for me.) It took me one circle around the area to find it. Their sign is not big enough from the back side. So I bought 2lbs of the Cebuchon and a small size of their pancit. The pancit has a reasonable price and portion. Can't complain. Service was fast. They have a dining area which is very convenient should you choose to dine in. It looks comfortable and can accommodate bigger parties too. I ordered takeout from Bai Cebu Lechon, and it was fantastic. The lechon was super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside--really well done. Unlike Dabarkadz down the street, Bai Cebu Lechon's meat was fully cooked but still moist, not dry at all. The crispy skin stayed crispy even after I got home. They have no set menu so you order half or full pound of lechon belly plus rice, I guess for the other entree like dinuguan and paksiw na lechon, you order per container? I ordered the batchoy which is very rare anywhere. It was on the spicy side, too much pepper I think but I still liked it. I would have liked it more if they added more noodles and less of the broth lol. We went today, a Sunday before Memorial day. More people are taking out than dining in the restaurant. They have a lot of space to dine in. Water dispenser is readily provided for diners. Ordered 1/2 lb of lechon with rice, batchoy and another pound of lechon to go totaled to $52 inclusive of tax. Was excited to try this place. Lechon would have been great if they had lechon sauce. As far as I know, the sauce is an integral part of eating lechon so selling lechon without lechon sauce is quite disappointing. We also tried the squid in which we found 2 long strands of hair. Bai lechon in Hayward a bigger restaurant the food brings you back to Cebu and the flavors of fiesta food! The Pancit Bami was flavorful and reminded me of birthday feasts with college and high school friends. The Dinuguan or Dugo-Dugo in Bisaya was just as tasty. Theirs is a Visayan take on it not as chunky as the Tagalog version the meat here is finely diced. I'd give it a solid 8. Just cuz I like the chunky version made from the maskara of the pig .That's just a personal preference. Flavor is on point though. But hands down the flavor of their lechon mmmm.... Nothing beats the flavor of lechon in Cebu and thank goodness your Hayward location is closer to the City!!!! The skin was perfection crispy as should be. The meat was juicy and had the flavors of lemongrass, garlic, and other seasonings. Pork belly = happy human belly. The service was great smiles were everywhere and food was fast. Have mixed feelings. Used to drive all the way to Suisun to get Bai as I truly believe their lechon belly is the best. I was so happy when they finally opened a location closer to home. Ordered some lechon belly and was so excited when we got home. I saw some review that say it's too salty but what we got was the complete opposite. The skin was crunchy, meat was tender but the flavor was lacking. I've ordered from Bai at Suisun a bunch of times and have always loved the taste but not the one from this location. Not even the sauce helped, I bought a whole bottle of Mang Thomas as they didn't give that much. It came in half full small containers. Noodles were the same, that was yummy. Liked the crust for the empanada too. Maybe just an off day? Will give it another try and update. Service was good. The lady at the front was very friendly. So sorry but my experience wasnt as pleasant as what other claimed. There is nothing unusual about your lechon. I was expecting your lechon will top off your competitor but that wasn't the case after i had your lechon. I spent over $150 at your store and regretted it. I ordered an over rice to get an idea what my 5 lbs lechon order will taste like. My over rice was bland! I told D****a (your staff) the bland taste and suggested to taste your food before you sell it. She never offer to fix my over rice issue. The freshly cooked lechon came out yellowish color, missing the reddish, oily, good tasting lechon that they show on some of their photo ad. I already paid the 5lbs lechon and tried to cancel it but she said she couldn't do it and only Ms "R" can do it but Ms "R" is doing errands. It will be hard to convince me to come back. Sorry but this is my experience and i hope my $150 will be put on good use to the betterment of your business. BTW. I was in a hurry and forgot to take picture of the light colored and bland lechon. But, you can check your other postings where the color is yellowish! And this yellowish is what was given to me and i took it in protest and i was running late. Sad to say, but this lechon didn't came out as top choice of my guest. Lots of leftover lechon and barely anyone took it home as doggie bag. (Are you kidding me? Why would you put gravy?) in Cebu we enhance the Lechon Belly by dipping it in vinegar & soy sauce! But I personally eat it... as is! Why ruin a perfect Lechon Belly?! ...They have the traditional, super yummy Cebu stir fry noodles called: "Bam-i" (please do not get confused with pancit canton). (Try putting dugo-dugo on top!) ...They also have the "DUGO-DUGO". (please, please, PLEASE do not compare to the tagalog/northern version called: dinugu-an.) this is Cebu island style pigs blood soup. its suppose to be soupy. your suppose to pour it on rice or on the Bam-i! ... and they have my ultimate streetfood fav... the CHORIZO de Cebu! (Please... again do not compare to the tagalog "Longanisa") This is Cebu style sausage. its supposed to be small, round and red! I can eat a dozen of these Cebu chorizo for breakfast! Speaking of breakfast I always buy packs of Cebu chorizo to grill at home.
