With so many Thai places in Portland it's difficult for me to think of a reason to come back here. I ordered the pad Thai which is my go to first item when I try a new thai place. If they can do this right chances are everything else is good. The prices were all right, but my chicken pad Thai had zero flavor, large portion, but I won't be finishing it. We've been to Bai Mint Thai Kitchen several times over the years and the food has been consistently good. On this frigid February evening, Bai Mint Thai really hit the spot! The service was wonderful - attentive, friendly and good timing on the dishes. The food tasted hot, fresh and delicious. We had the egg rolls, Tom Kha Soup, Spicy Basil Fried Rice with tofu, the Pad Kee Mao with tofu, and Lemon Grass Chicken. The soup, drunken noodle and basil friend rice dishes were amazing. I especially appreciate how Bai Mint Thai Kitchen cooks their vegetables - fresh and firm. The dining room was clean, with lovely decor and warm lighting. Again, wonderful customer service! This understaffed restaurant seems to have pretty much thrown in the towel in terms of table service and exists in a perpetual state of filling to go orders via phone and online delivery services like GrubHub. All seated patrons waited sooooo long for their food (not to mention also waiting almost 10 minutes to get our orders taken). Once food arrived (awful wonton soup, good fresh salad rolls, passable pad thai), no follow up from staff to see if everything was ok. Lighting also weird. Local Thai, Give it a Try! Thai food in Portland gives you plenty of options. Bai Mint is certainly a good one. This was my first visit and I came away pretty happy. Being vegetarian there's always plenty of options, and one of my go-tos for Thai is yummy spicy basil fried rice. Bai Mint does an okay version. The veggies were all nicely cooked. Tomatoes, bell peppers, etc, but it lacked enough sauce to give the rice any real flavor. Cooked too fast and too hot. It seems a lot of places, especially for lunch, are working to get food out as quickly as possible for people on a 30 minute lunch break. That's understandable, but the food still has to be right. For $10 it has to be, especially for rice and veggies! There are many wonderful things to say about this place however, so I'm keeping it at 3 stars. It's extremely warm, delightfully welcoming, and super clean. Service was perfect, and they really care about you. While the meal wasn't the best for me, there's enough here to get me back to try it again....and I hope you do too! read more

I noticed this place during a walk in the SE Woodstock neighborhood. It looked neat and clean on the inside. And they deliver within a 2 mile radius! My hubby and I tried the following, and had it delivered to our home: *Each dish looked just like the image from the website. Fresh Spring Rolls: ample fresh ingredients & wrapped like a little cone. Lemon Grass Chicken: chicken was juicy, perfectly grilled. I loved that it had steamed veggies. Pad Thai w/tofu: fresh & a perfect balance of pad thai sauce. Lots of carrots and bean sprouts. Sauce is light, not thick & gooey. Pad See Ew w/ chicken: the sweet soy sauce & kale make this a tasty dish! We will be ordering food again from Bai Mint! read more

I ordered pad thai and fried rolls from this place and the rolls were mostly just stuffed with carrots and ghe pad thai tasted like it had all been burnt--the chicken, the noodles, everything had a burnt taste. Really weird tbh, I don't think I would recommend it to anyone else. read more

Absolutely wonderful Thai food! I've eaten there many times, and today was the firs time they've ever accidentally messed up my to-go order. I didn't notice until I got home, but to my surprise they called me on the phone and acknowledged that they messed up on the order. They then offered to deliver the missing dish to my house for FREE. I have been very pleased with these guys over the years, and I recommend them to everyone I know who likes Thai food. My favorite dishes are the Pad Thai and Tom Kha, and these are some of the best variations of these dishes I've had anywhere. read more

I've gotta say, this place has gone downhill. We went last night for dinner, and while the service was fine, the food was sub par. We ordered the angel's wings, as an appetizer. It really had no flavor, inclusive of the chicken, the filling, or the breading. It reminded me of those flavorless deep fried chicken strips you can get in the freezer section of the grocery store. I had the larb salad, which stated on the menu that it was spicy. There was literally no spice or heat whatsoever. Additionally, it was grossly under seasoned. The better half got the special, consisting of stuffed squid in green curry. The curry was decent enough, but still lacking any flavor other than coconut. The squid had an undertone of old squid flavor, that I found to be quite the turn-off. In short, I may be back, but not anytime soon. King Curry in Milwaukie will continue to be my go-to for thai food without having to travel far. read more

This was some of the best pad kee mow I have had. The tom yum kah soup was also delicious. We had wonderful service and they were great to remember our names and the dishes we enjoy the most. This was a pleasant environment for visiting and very clean restaurant. They were busy with lots of to go orders but still very attentive to needs at the table. We had a wonderful dinner last night at Bai Mint Thai! We ordered Pad Phet Catfish, Pad Kee Mao, Crab fried rice, Tom Yum Noodles and Chicken wings for kids. All dishes are fantastic with authentic taste! My favorite is Pad Phet Catfish of course as it made me satisfied my craving for tasty and spicy thai food. The kids like Tom Yum Noodle so much, it served with big shrimps and squids, and they are fresh and not too spicy for them. Addition to the wonderful food and excellent service, this restaurant is very clean and offer homey charm to everyone. Definitely the top in my list! read more

Really great food and nice service. I randomly saw this place while driving down woodstock and decided to give it a try. If you like spicy food they will take care of you here. Every dish we've tried has been outstanding. Super fresh ingredients, cooked vey nicely. Our personal favorites are the wonton soup and the salmon special panang curry. All the noodles are good too, and the fried rice was very well accepted by youngsters who claimed, "I don't like Thai food!" I see a lot of 1 star reviews complaining about the pad Thai, but I absolutely loved it!!! The chicken tasted amazing and noodles were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The sauce was light just like I prefer, I especially loved the green onions they added a perfect touch. I ordered through Uber eats and even though the restaurant was 5 miles away and I ordered late at night all the food was hot and fresh! This is a wonderful little Thai Restaurant on Woodstock. It's small but they can take good care of a large group would go and look at 6 and 7 and we are serve pretty much all at the same time. Food is delicious I cannot say how yummy their Moosomin Curry is and I do it with their brown rice with some people go Christmas rice but everybody loves their pineapple rice everybody loves their Pad Thai or Drunken Noodles shrimps are delicious I have not had a bad meal there and we've eaten there at least 4 times from two people to three people to 7 people and everyone's been happy so I highly recommend it give it a try it is fall so I would go a little early or make sure they got a little room plus they have a huge take out business. read more

But recently during this covid thing when we go out ,mostly with my husband and last night I convinced him to try something from from them .
