Basket of French Fries (happy hour)
Megan V.

It seems like each time we visit Huntington Beach we find ourselves at Baja Sharkeez. It's conveniently located down the street from the pier and has a pretty solid happy hour that runs from 3-7pm Monday through Friday. This place is also kid friendly, at least during daylight. Usually we just order drinks, but since we had kiddos with us we ordered dinner. You place your order at the bar for all good and drinks, which are then delivered to your table. We ordered a variety of food from the happy hour menu, including the queso and chips, basket of fries, chicken bites, chicken tacos and birria tacos. Our food was ready within 15 minutes and overall we all enjoyed our meal. The queso was rich and cheesy, with just a hint of smoke. I really appreciate how you can order it without the beef since I don't eat ground beef. The birria tacos were another hit at the table. A bonus is that they have tons of TVs throughout the bar, so you can enjoy a sports game. We were there during March Madness, so it was perfect.

Been coming to the Huntington Beach Pier for the VW buses on the pier every here. Like to try new places. First time here..... Cool place, lots of TVs, everyone is very friendly. I wish we had a place like this in Sylmar/Valencia area. Had the breakfast burrito chorizo with tater tots delicious. The white rice is really good. Chips and salsa on the house Bottomless mimosas with your breakfast order. Will be coming back. I really enjoy this place.

The vibe was great from the start, my group and I arrived on a Sunday afternoon right before the area got busy! Staff were very friendly and we got sat immediately upon arrival. It's such a touristy area- if you're visiting from outside CA this spot is a good place for great vibes and drinks. Moderate prices considering the surrounding area (by the beach)! On busy days they do have pretty limited seating since it's a bit of a cramped spot so try getting there a little earlier before peak (8pm-ish). Parking is limited to street parking or a spacious parking structure down the road. I would return for some drinks with friends when in town!

Looking for a bar that plays nothing but bangers all night? Look no further than Baja Sharkeez! It was a Friday night and we were looking to unwind a bit so we started walking down the street but every bar we saw didn't seem to have the vibes we were searching for. That changed when we saw Baja Sharkeez. We went in and immediately made our way to the bar. The place was packed but surprisingly enough, we were able to find a table to chill at. I can't speak on the food because we were not looking to eat. We got a few shots and the drink of choice for the night was called the Mango Heatwave. It was a perfect mix of taste and alcohol. The music was pretty loud like you'd expect and the drinks are a bit on the pricey side but that's pretty much the norm nowadays. The service was also pretty good. The wait wasn't too long for it being really crowded. Either way, if you're walking down Main Street and you're looking for a fun bar, this is the place.

Lucca is the coolest. We love coming here. Such a welcoming experience and great food and drinks. Always feel safe when he is hosting. Ladies love him. He is a stud.

First off, all the credit in the world to our bartender Haylee We walked in quietly and she was clearly busy with customers as we took our seats. She still took the time to acknowledge us and we were able to submit our drink order in a timely fashion. Once she had all of her customers taken care of she took a few minutes to strike up conversation which is unusual out here especially in busy establishments. The bar was clean and I dig the wicker bar stools and beach vibe the place gives off. Didn't eat here because we had dinner plans but I'll be back in October to visit family and 100% will be making a lunch trip down here.

It was packed when we got there. Just went for a drink. && The drinks were a miss! Not good at all. I like that they had a DJ which would play music on commercials of the basketball game that was playing. The restroom was small and dirty. Just not my vibe.

Overall had a good experience! This place is located on the Main Street in HB. Good indoor & outdoor seating. The music was a nice fun touch. They were playing EDM when we went. We were told by the host it's self seating and we'd order food from the bar too. Service at the bar was a bit slow. I do wish we had a server. I ordered the single shark attack drink which did not taste like it had alcohol in it. It was a sweet drink. Order this if you want a cup of juice. I then ordered the large original margarita which was better as I could taste alcohol in it. I ordered a shrimp burrito which was so tasty and delicious. It's a decent size, wrapped well, and toasted nicely. The filling was flavorful and I liked all components. It also came with a small side of white rice which was cooked well. I'd definitely order this again!!! The food came quickly after ordering. An issue is that my friend also asked for a shrimp burrito but ended up being served a grilled fish burrito. Service was too slow for her to flag someone down to correct this. So she barely ate. It's a fun spot for more casual food and drinks. Prices are standard. Parking will be on the street.

My friends and I went at around 8ish on a Saturday and it was crazy crowded and very loud. I appreciated that it felt like I was at a club though, I almost doubted that my young age wouldn't be allowed inside. You have to order at the bar, and the man who took our order very kind. I ordered the chicken fajitas, and although I wish they gave me more rice with my meal, it was surprisingly really good. The birria flauta appetizer was also a hit at our table.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and honestly was surprisingly happy with our visit. Sharkeez vibe and ambiance is not my fave in general but Id prefer going to the NB one. Ive always been there for drinks but the food was honestly pretty good and unlike what I was expecting. The host told us we need to go in to order food and drinks but they prepared the food in a timely manner. Also, the patio is very dog friendly.

Fish tacos super lame. Atmosphere good, location good. Baja style? Superficially yes, authentically Baja style, no On Main Street which is great for people watching and catching some sun by the beach is Baja Sharkeez. Outdoor seating with a huge umbrella and some Mexican style decor. Inside it's dimly lit with many TVs all playing the same thing : American football. Ordered their "Baja" fish tacos. I think they should have called these gringo tacos abominations instead. A traditional fish taco has pico de gallo, shredded cabbage slaw, crema, limes. Perfection. Why mess with perfection? For some reason Sharkeez thought to and not impressed. My fish tacos came with lemons, too much shredded white cheese, a sprinkle of pico de gallo.l that i couldn't taste and two corn tortillas that I had to get rid of one to bring out the flavor that they messed with. The tacos come either a la carte or you can get the combo which comes with two fish tacos and one side of either refried beans or white rice with a sprinkle of cilantro on it. If you are looking for fun beach vibes and Americanized Mexican, get drunk and watch football games by the beach food, then maybe this place. I don't think this is for me, so I won't be coming here again. And those looking for that perfect Baja fish taco, perfectly balanced with excellent flaky fish with crunchy texture outside, take my advice and go somewhere else.

The view is really nice, especially around sunset, and it just feels super relaxed up there. Rebecca (the bartender) was the best part though. I had no idea what to order since it was my first time, and she was super sweet and patient, helping me figure out what I'd actually like instead of just rushing me. It made the whole experience feel way more comfortable. Drinks were good, vibes were good, and the service really stood out. I'd definitely come back.

I was really looking forward to celebrating my birthday at offshore rooftop 9, but unfortunately,…read morethe overall experience ended up being disappointing. I do want to start by saying the staff was accommodating. When I made my reservation online, it only allowed me to book for six or eight guests (I can't remember which), but I had a party of 10. They were able to accommodate us and update the reservation so our full group could celebrate together, which I really appreciated. When I made the reservation, the only available time slot online was 8:45 PM. The earlier time slots were to early for the rest of my guest , so we booked what was offered. We didn't think that would leave us with such a short amount of time before closing at 10:00 PM. We also didn't realize until we got there that they don't serve full meals just appetizers. To be fair, I take some responsibility for that. I should have looked at the menu ahead of time, watched a few video reviews, and done a little more research before booking. That's on me. We still made the best of it. The girls were each able to enjoy a drink, the guys squeezed in two drinks each, and we ordered about three appetizers for the girls and three for the guys. Shortly after that, we were told it was last call for both drinks and appetizers because the kitchen and bar were closing. It felt like the evening ended almost as soon as it began. I do wish they had either not offered such a late reservation or at least let us know when booking that we'd have very limited time to order and enjoy the experience before everything shut down. If you're planning a birthday celebration or any gathering where you want to enjoy food, drinks, and time with your group, I would recommend booking an earlier reservation if possible or choosing another venue if only the late reservation is available. Hopefully, my experience helps someone else avoid making the same mistake.

It would help if she was little bit friendler and smiled. Her vibe was uneasy. After a long day at work, it doesnt help to deal with serious people. People come to the pub to wind down and to have a good time. Her energy tried to kill my experience, but I would not let it. 20 mins passed and our table was ready. Ordered adult beverages and food within a 3 to 4 hour window of our stay. Kudos to Victoria S, she was a great waitress. Great job on always attending to us!! Very professional. We were planning to visit both the restaurant and the farmers market, so it worked out just fine. The restaurant is located directly below Duke's, which is another spot I'd like to try in the future. I actually came here because I saw their clam chowder bread bowl on the website, and I've been on the hunt for a really good clam chowder. When we arrived, the restaurant was pretty busy. I requested outdoor seating, and the host was kind enough to accommodate us right away. The patio offers a beautiful view overlooking the beach, which made for a great dining experience. For our meal, we ordered the Spinach & Artichoke Dip as an appetizer, along with the Chowder Bowl, Bikini Paddle Salad, Steakhouse Tacos, and Fish & Chips. The chowder bowl was very good. I especially appreciated that they make the chowder in-house. It was loaded with potatoes and had a rich, creamy flavor. My only complaint is that I would have liked a few more clams. The Steakhouse Tacos were delicious and had a unique flavor thanks to the addition of blue cheese crumbles. The Spinach & Artichoke Dip was also served in a bread bowl, which was a nice touch. The Fish & Chips were probably the weakest dish of the meal. According to my mom, the fish was a bit bland. However, she really enjoyed the Greek-style salad that came with her meal. Overall, this is a great spot to check out if you're spending the day at the beach. Between the ocean views, friendly service, and solid menu options, it's definitely worth a visit.

There were several creative obstacles and challenges that we hadn't seen at other mini golf spots, which kept things interesting and fun throughout the round. After golf, we checked out the arcade. There was a good variety of games, and my son was definitely entertained, which is always a win. It felt like a well-rounded spot for a casual outing. The restrooms were clean, and the staff was friendly enough--nothing over the top, but perfectly pleasant. One thing that did take away from the experience a bit was the number of very young kids running around unsupervised. I'm talking maybe 4 years old or so, and they kept interrupting our game. As a parent, I completely understand how challenging it can be to keep an eye on little ones, but I'm also a bit competitive, so it definitely threw off my groove. Not the venue's fault, just something to be aware of--there may be some tiny, energetic free spirits roaming around. Also, while it was a warm day, it wasn't quite as cool as I expected it to be, which made it a little less comfortable than ideal.
