Sometimes all you want is a quiet place to have a solid and consistent breakfast. Look no more, Bake Maine provides a quiet early morning respite from the loud bustle of many places! The platter was plated in a gorgeous pottery plate and filled generously with eggs, toast, sausage (my choice) and toast. I ordered, poured a coffee and breakfast arrived shortly after. It was blissfully simple and delicious! Staff are friendly and engaging too, bonus!

Oh. Mah. Gawd. This little bakery Café has gone through many iterations, but I have to say that I think this one is the absolute best! They have their traditional sandwiches and they've added baked goods that are beyond delish! The workers are friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed and spacious. The only possible problem is finding parking, but depending on when you go, you can find it quite readily. I'm looking forward to going back.

I believe this used to be Portland Pottery Cafe and there are new owners now. I brought a friend who is gluten free here and we were happily surprised that all the sandwiches could be on GF bread... and they were super tasty! We tried: -The Chicken Salad sandwich ($14) - VERY good -Turkey Avocado sandwich ($15) Note: Chips are not included, but a pickle is. Parking: Street parking. A little tricky, but not terrible. I'm excited to go back and try more!

I've been by here many times but my first time in to try lunch. Highly recommend! Apparently, there are new owners, hence no prior reviews. You order at the counter and can eat-in at one of several different sized vintage tables. Tables are spaced well for those who might want privacy or to sit with a laptop. All kinds of pottery for purchase lines the edges of the room. We had a breakfast sandwich with biscuit, egg, cheese, and bacon. Homemade biscuit and this was very good. Also had turkey avocado sandwich on warm focaccia. Large slices of juicy, roasted turkey were so good! I could only eat half of this hearty sandwich. The menu is half breakfast items and half lunch (sandwiches, soup, salad). The best part was the cases of pastries, cakes, and cookies. The cookies we got were still warm. Carrot cake was delicious with a generous double layer of the best cream cheese buttercream. The cookies were so good - my favorite was a polenta cookie with salt and pepper glaze. Tasted like a sugar cookie with a salty kick. Lastly we tried the iced chai latte. Lots of spice and not too sweet. It tasted like homemade chai mix, but if not, wish I knew where they bought it! Overall, while I never went to the first rendition of this place, the new owners are firing on all four cylinders! Great breakfast and lunch spot reasonably priced in the trendy east end.

Great place Fun menu items. Croissants are amazing the guava one is my favorite. I also enjoyed the bagel and cream cheese. The cinnamon brown sugar one was amazing! Service was friendly and knowledgeable. It's cool place I love all the pottery!

The staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of coffees and baked goods. Clean with good atmosphere. If you just got back from Europe and are missing fresh baked French deserts pastries, this is the place to go. Menu items are delicious, too. I had the Gilly sandwich and it had many flavors and the croissants were outstanding! The new owners are very friendly having met one going to the restroom. The location for parking can be difficult during rush hours , however plenty of street parking behind to accommodate. I purchased a few deserts to take home and plan on coming back in the near future!

Our waitress couldn't have been lovelier. Service was very good even though they were busy. Food was great! Some of the best hollandaise sauce I've had. Would definitely recommend and would go back.

It was fairly bland, pedestrian, nothing special whatsoever. My dining partner got the pancake with Maine blueberries. It's a very cakey type of pancake. Large. I read they serve real Maine maple syrup on a site when deciding on coming here but was disappointed to see they charge an extra $2.50. Hmmmmm Service was lacking. I feel like they were short handed or servers over working too many tables. I got up to get my own Tobasco sauce since there was nobody around and my sandwich was half eaten while waiting for someone to come by. Overall, I left wanting more. Not fulfilled from the hype I had read in other reviews. Very mundane place. I would not go back. Cannot recommend this place.

When we finally came during the off season, we thought this would be the perfect opportunity since wait times were shorter. The wait on a Saturday afternoon was about 15-20 minutes. I will say - I had high hopes for Hot Suppa. Between my fiance and I, we ordered the waffle, side of corned beef hash, and the fried green tomatoes eggs benny. The corned beef hash here is excellent - that I do have to acknowledge. I was a bit underwhelmed by the fried green tomatoes though. The tomatoes were just okay, but the excessive hollandaise sauce really just made the whole dish waaay too heavy. It was also just messy. Service was slow & our waitress tended to disappear for long periods of time. Coffee & water refills both took a long time. Parking here is difficult but not impossible. Most spots are only for an hour or so.

I also tried a bite of the biscuits and gravy at the table and they were rich, comforting, and seriously tasty. The drinks were just as impressive. The espresso martini was perfectly balanced, and even the mocktail was refreshing and well made. And our waitress was the sweetest (and honestly the prettiest!). She was so warm and friendly that I'd come back just to chat with her again. Great service, great food, great experience overall. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Portland.

Our waitress was incredibly friendly, sweet, and attentive. The food was delicious, and with nine people ordering all different items, everyone left happy. My personal favorite was the breakfast tacos--they were fantastic. The homemade jam was also a big hit at our table. What really stood out to me, though, was their homemade maple turmeric hot sauce. It was so good that I kept putting it on everything. I honestly wish they bottled and sold it because I would have bought several bottles to take home to Arizona and give as gifts to my coworkers. Great food, wonderful service, and a fun atmosphere. We would definitely come back the next time we're in Maine.

This was difficult because of the Portland food scene being so competitive. Overall, it was just average. The homemade hot sauce has the tiniest kick, but adds good flavor. Dishes were unique but didn't come off as anything to write home about.

They have a lot of breakfast sandwiches made on their homemade English Muffins. When I went to order I asked what's the favorite/best sellers and we told the Yinzer. I also figured I'd get another sandwich too so I went with the Pastrami on Rye. Unfortunately they did not have any Pastrami available so I will say I panicked a little and ordered the BLT. I took a bit to get our food but they were busy so I et that. Once home I got into the Yinzer first. Let me tell you this thing was saucy but I like it that way. I will say I was a big fan of the English Muffin, probably on of the best I have had. I also had plenty of Chipped Ham which was rather tasty. Now the BLT I wasn't the biggest fan of. I guess I'm just not a big fan of a breakfast sandwich with veggies on it. Just didn't work for me. Would for sure come back if I was in town again because they have a lot of tasty sounding sandwiches.
