There is limited seating, but it's great to cozy up with an engaging book while sipping on some tea. There is one communal table and a couple of tables in the corner. Oh man, 3 or 4? A hard decision since their baked goods are all tasty. Their lemon square was a compact, tart little treat, that wasn't overpoweringly lemony. The whoopie pie, large, pumpkin instead of chocolate, moist. Simple, delicious, no further explanation needed. I also got the Double Chocolate cookie with cranberries and slivered almonds. I took a look at it when it was brought out to me and thought it was too large to be anything other than dry and crumbly. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was moist and chunky with the almonds and cranberries made it a full and tart tasting in contrast to the all the chocolate. There's not much room there and it's hard to sit there and have a conversation when you're cramped near the edge of the counter and the kitchen and the bathroom and the stairs from the basement. Service wise they're pretty disinterested, and seem like they want to be somewhere else, getting them to make a recommendation is like pulling teeth. This place makes me feel at peace. So glad the back yard is open again! I like to go here when I'm having a bad day to recenter myself. Grab and go sandwiches are great and cheap for the neighborhood and quality of ingredients. Love the savory scones! One regret is that they rarely serve the specialty breads at this location. Bakeri caught my attention because when I walked by, there was a yuge line going down the block for this one bakery. I knew I had to try it out when I got the chance. I ordered a few things from them, the grapefruit yogurt loaf, rosemary hazelnut chocolate chip cookie, raspberry lavender crumble bar and coconut macaroon. The loaf was my favorite; it was so fulling and very tasty - not too sweet, not too citrus, and not too oily. The other items were standard good. Came here for a Saturday morning coffee with a friend. We both ordered Raspberry scones and iced coffee and then walked to the East River Park. That Raspberry scone was THE BOMB! buttery, crumbly, with the beautiful acidity from the whole raspberries. I'm not a scone person, but this was excellent. Will definitely go back! Ps. So, I have only tried a few things at Bakeri, but everything has been great, especially the focaccia bread. I consider myself somewhat of a focaccia expert and this is without a doubt the best focaccia in the city. It's crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with a generous amount of olive oil, salt and rosemary on top. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this focaccia. They sell out after lunch time on weekdays and probably earlier on weekends so go early! They also have a sourdough rye loaf you can buy that is great for avocado toast. I stopped by with my brother and mother for a coffee stop, and had some of their pastries to go along with. the place itself is very small -- there are several seats on the outside of the cafe, one main large table + bench on the inside, and then one teeny tiny room in the back of the cafe. This is a rather average coffee shop, with a small but nice selection of snacks and food. I ordered a slice of Spanish Tortilla, Earl Grey Tea Cookie, and Ice Brewed Coffee, all for about $10. The Spanish Tortilla was okay, mostly consisting of potato slices with a small amount of egg and onion in between. The taste was rather plain, and the food overall served to fill me up. The Earl Grey Tea Cookie was my favorite. It was moist, crumbly, and semi-sweet. A very nice snack cookie to accompany my coffee. The Iced Brewed Coffee was alright. It was roughly of the same standard as an iced coffee from Starbucks. In the future, I would only drop by here for the tea cookies or for a quick coffee if I am in need of a caffeine fix! read more

The women working here are pleasant and don cute bandanas and coveralls. The shortbread was good; the avocado tartine was just avocado on toast--something you could get anywhere else or make at home. The tartine took over 20 minutes to make it to the table and they added an additional item to my tab that I didn't order. When we flagged the issue with the bill, the wait staff seemed frustrated with us (and someone in our party was in line for the bathroom and heard the kitchen talking shit about our table for flagging the issue lol). I go the Bakeri for over 5 years, I def prefer the greenpoint location, the Williamsburg location is a mess and I'm def not coming back. the employees there have a bad attitude - like girl relax. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Bakeri. Walking into this small bake shop in Williamsburg, you feel as though you've stepped into someone's kitchen far outside of the kitchen. The ceilings are low, decor is a bit rustic yet charming, and it smells delicious. Order beverages and goodies at the counter and sit to be served. There are a couple small tables inside or a couple outside that are dog friendly. We saw lots of people ordering to go too. The dishware is quirky and mismatched. I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk which was one of the best I've ever had, along with a matcha shortbreads cookie, which was excellent. My friend had the apple cider flower which she loved. I also got a chocolate chip hazelnut rosemary cookie to go - so unique and delicious. I will definitely return for another cappuccino and to try some other baked goods. read more
