    Chopped Beef Brisket Plate

We've been coming to Baker's Ribs for years now, and it's always something we look forward to enjoying! We also love the catering offerings for your bigger gatherings. The space itself is situated in a small strip mall, so there is plenty of lot parking in the vicinity. The interior is wacky, cozy, and a place to simply take in and enjoy. The smells of the smoker, the kitschy amount of pigs everywhere, and the rumble of fellow patrons enjoying their BBQ. The owner can usually be found behind the bar, chopping up the best BBQ in the Cities! The food is phenomenal! I usually go for the chopped brisket (pre-mixed with BBQ sauce) or the sliced brisket, but the ribs are "fall off the bone" tender. Plenty of sides to choose from, but my go to is the coleslaw and potato salad!

Tried this spot today, it's a Texas bbq restaurant that has ribs, brisket sandwiches etc. and it was delicious! The ribs were super tenders and the meat fell off the bone, the potato salad was also good too and the sweet potato pie was super moist. Definitely recommend!

This was on my list of places to try. I like the set up and ambiance of the inside. Kind of old time feel. The server helped my pick my order which turned out to be just mediocre. The ribs were just ok and the sides were decent. I did not like the dirty rice at all. I would give this place another try.

It was my very first time to have brisket sandwich in MN, it was so delicious and juicy! The space of restaurant will take you back in time and it's kind of 66 Rt. Restaurant style! High recommend!

Baker's ribs has some of the best ribs in Minnesota! Made the trip down to get some and wasn't disappointed. The meat falls off the bone and it's extremely tender and packed with flavor. The bbq sauce was rich and plentiful. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and gave us some recommendations for the sides. We ended up getting 4 different kinds - beans, coleslaw, dirty rice, and pasta salad. They were all good in their own way but none of them were extraordinary. As for the place itself. It is full of fun decoration with many different pigs, signs, and pictures. Really liked coming here and would recommend!

    Family Dinner w/ Brisket $34.99

Twenty years ago I really loved Baker's Rib's. It can still be really good, but I find these days it is inconsistent and the owners and workers are less engaged with both the business and their customers. I can't remember the last time I was here that it was full. On this recent visit I saw a sign for a family dinner for $32.99 and with optional upgrade to brisket for $34.99. The sign didn't describe the meal and I erroneously thought the brisket upgrade would be additional meat, not a plate of JUST brisket. In my brain I presumed the family dinner would be a variety of meats, not a single smoked meat. While my mistake, I think this is a great example of the owners/staff being dis-engaged. THEY may know what the family dinner includes, but their guests may not. Potato salad was as good as always, dirty rice was not quite as good. The brisket had great flavor and included two chunks of meat, one super fatty and one super lean and dry. I can't recall a visit in years where the staff were engaged and friendly. They all looked bored and don't want to be there and the restaurant is beginning to look tired. I also find it annoying that they are weighing everything prior to serving. They've been in business for more than 25 years, they should know what a pound of meat looks like.

What a great spot! Had an early dinner here with my wife last night. The owners were super nice and gave us the run down! Super friendly, I got the three meat plate (sliced brisket, pork and sausage) with beans, dirty rice and Texas toast! Good portions for the cost! Pork was my favorite, the brisket could have been a tad more moist and sausage was just ok. My wife got the rib special, the ribs were good but it seemed like we had some that were old/dry and not as fresh and others that were great. Some fell right off the bone which was nice, I noticed the membrane was still on the ribs which is not typical? Very cozy vibes in here though! Oh they also had a homemade BBQ sauce that was perfect, not too smoky and just the right consistency! We will be back to try some more! Cheers!

    Smoked meats!

Just terrific in every way. Outstanding brisket. Strong recommend. The people here are so nice and I find myself just wanting to come back every time I'm in this area.

Food 5/5: we did AYCE. We got: Edemame, egg rolls, gyoza, corn cheese, Zuchinni, mushrooms, Miso soup, garlic shrimp, pork belly, ribeye, boneless short rib, skirt steak, and brisket. The marinated meats were my favorite along with the shrimp! I loved the pairing of the dry rub with both sauces, and the sauces definitely enhanced the flavor of the meats. Service 5/5: our server was very attentive and helpful. He asked if we wanted a demonstration which was helpful even though we knew what we were doing. They are quick to change your grill place when it gets covered, and I love the option of the avocado oil. Many other bbq places don't offer that. Ambiance 5/5: this place feels very fancy! Overall very spacious. The booth we were in was very comfortable. Overall a great option for AYCE BBQ! We loved our experience and will definitely be back.

We also ordered some drinks (You're My Boy Blue & the Rhubarb/Ginger Gin Fizz). Both were a perfect balance of refreshing and fruity. I ordered the brisket mac & cheese (pictured) and was immediately in love. Truly the definition of comfort food. As it was my birthday, we were able to finish off the meal with a slice of rainbow cake. We will definitely be back, as there are so many things we didn't get this time that we want to try

We ordered the Candied Bacon flight to share; the menu listed the bacon flight flavors (whiskey jalapeño BBQ, roasted chile brown sugar, honey mustard, 4-pepper blend) and the 8 large, thick slices looked inviting but we had no idea which pieces were which flavor. *Management Suggestion: Get little toothpicks or flags so diners know what they're tasting!* That said, while I tried two pieces I thought looked good and I enjoyed them, RC munched through them unaware they were different flavors, lol. My take: they were ok. I also ordered the French Onion soup as I love trying different restaurants' take on it. Five stars for the soup, it was absolutely delicious. A thick piece of crusty bread topped with melted cheese that dripped over the crock topped rich, delicious caramelized onions and just enough beef stock to be able to call it soup. Banging. For our mains, RC ordered ribs with a side of Buffalo Brussels Sprouts. The ribs had good flavor but were definitely not fall-off-the-bone; more like saw from the bone. We both love Brussels but the beef-tallow fried sprouts with Buffalo sauce and caked in melted bleu cheese crumbles were not good. If you don't like Brussels, you might like these because any sprout flavor was overwhelmed by the bleu cheese. For my main I tried the braised Short Rib Ravioli, generous ravioli in a very rich cream sauce then topped with (I think) bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes. I ate one raviolo and it wasn't for me. I thought the filling was bland and the sauce didn't meld with the flavor. I didn't eat it, the manager came to apologize and ask if I wanted something else, but RC was close to finished and I declined. Good on them for taking it off my bill without me asking. Service was five star, atmosphere nice, although the huge flat screens everywhere were a distraction lacking sound or captions. The bourbon selection looked great and I momentarily wished I could try some! :D

We were seated and had a view of the pond or water. Our server, Bryn, brought us a few glasses of bubbles to start while we looked at the menu. Bryn gave us some good recommendations, and we went with the Redstone breakfast. Redstone is known for their ribs, so what else could I choose? I selected a full rack of ribs, and the meat fell right off the bone. They had the perfect blend of BBQ, smoke, and tanginess. The sauce was not runny and stuck to the ribs. I didn't even bother with the fries. The coleslaw was mediocre and was lacking in flavor, but the ribs were heavy. We had a few glasses of wine to quench our thirst and relaxed and had great conversations as we caught up. Bryn checked up on us and made sure we had all we needed and provided perfect service. The bathrooms and restaurant areas were clean, and there was tons of free parking in their lot.

We started with the Texas Twinkie, and it was the standout of the meal. It's basically a jalapeño popper stuffed with brisket and topped with a sweet agave chili glaze that gives it a delicious sweet and spicy kick. I personally would have preferred a little less glaze, but it was still incredibly flavorful, and I'm honestly still thinking about it. Even though they're known as a tequila bar, don't sleep on the mocktails! I ordered the Hibiscus Cooler, and it was light, refreshing, and the perfect pairing for the meal. For our entrées, I ordered the mojo pork tacos. They were good, but I ended up adding some extra habanero hot sauce to give them more of a kick. I also appreciated that they have several hot sauce options available, including Cry Baby Craig's, Cholula, and habanero sauce. We couldn't decide between the brisket mac and cheese or the elote, so we ordered both to share. The elote had a strong lime flavor that overpowered it a bit for my taste. The brisket mac and cheese, however, was delicious. It could have used just a little more seasoning in our opinion, but it was loaded with generous portions of tender brisket and had the most satisfying cheese pull. My husband also really enjoyed his birria tacos. Overall, this was a great impromptu date night. Good food, refreshing drinks, excellent service, and plenty of parking.
