Don't come too often.. but when you want a quick meal and a slice of pie, it's great to stop in. Keep it classic with the Country Apple. the chicken noodle soup here is great tasting and filling. A bit pricey for what you get, but quite tasty. Always a fan of their soup and sandwich combos--typically I go for the grilled cheese and tomato soup. I follow it up with a piece of French silk pie and call it a day. The service is a bit hit or miss and all too often I've gone in and not been greeted by anyone for a few minutes. Went there for breakfast was not impressed. Everything must have come from Gordon's out of the can. We ordered it was at our table writhin 8-10 minutes. Which is ok. But for country fried steak? For a $10.00 meal my husband received a greasy teaspoon of hash browns, Two eggs over medium ( the only good part of meal) two silver dollar pancakes, greasy country fried steak you get at Gordon's or stracks in freezer section. I ordered 4 stack. For 8.79. ( not worth almost 9.00) 2 slices of paper bacon, 1 biscuit with cold gravy, 2 silver dollar pancakes, fried happens ( cubed outta can with a tablespoon of garlic) we had tea, & OJ our meal was 25.00 I wouldn't pay 10.00 for this anywhere else. We won't ever be back not even for Dinner or Pie Anymore. This breakfast ruined it for us ever returning. The cinnamon roll was bigger than the pancakes lol shocking. read more

For 60.00 you can chokers an avocado peel on your avocado melt, choke on raw green peppers and onions, that we're supposedly sautéed with your chicken meat, or poke your whipped cream on your pie... AND WATCH IT SPRING BACK! I had to select a star but negative 5 stars is the actual rating. read more

Recently ate at the Schererville Baker's Square and were very pleased with the atmosphere, food, wait staff and service. The hostess was very friendly and engaging and the staff seemed to genuinely enjoy working there and took very good care of customers. read more

First time I had eaten here. Food was good. The bakery items were delicious and I had to get a " to go" order.

the service was decent. my waitress was friendly and fast, which I appreciated. the manager came and greeted me. my total bill was 17 dollar with a 3 dollar tip. I did not think the food was that great. the restaurant also had a weird smell to it. I ordered the party melt that was supposed to come with sauteed onions and the onions were barely cooked. I also asked the waitress for the minute maid orange juice that was listed on the menu because that qualified for free refills and I was given the other orange juice that didn't qualify. overall, it was really meh. I would not go again, but it wasn't a horrible experience. read more

The service is friendly but if you just go there for breakfast than it's not worth it. The breakfast is not good at all. I paid almost 10 dollars for for a meat lovers omlett and it was the most cheapest quality of food plus it was small/skimpy. I mean you are better off going to the Old Country Buffet for breakfast for the price you pay for one small plate of food here. The pies and deserts are really good but not the foood. read more

Never had baker square before so my fiancé and I decided to give it a try while in town. Our waitress and all of the staff was very nice BUT all of our food was way overdone and not fresh at all. My plate was barely warm. We're pretty sure our food was microwaved but it still wasn't even hot! My steak tips were more like gritty rubber nuggets. read more

My mom and I have been going to this location for years, at least twice a month. Never have we had a bad experience except for tonight.... We should have known that this location was going downhill when the restaurant was empty at dinner time. After sitting for five minutes waiting for someone to knowledge us. Our waitress comes over to tell us she will be right back. We counted five times she walks passed us saying "I will be right back" Finally she stopped for long enough for us to place our order. Nothing outrageous or "odd" in her own words about it. During our 45 mins of waiting for our food we could hear the kitchen staff including managers complain of other guests not paying the right bill and this month records will be off. Not thinking anything of it, we hear our waitress announce to the whole kitchen that our food is the oddest she ever had requested and "just throw it on whatever bread you have left" Finally our food is brought out, as expected from the previous conversation. There was nothing special about it. Our waitress never came to make sure everything was OK or if we needed anything else. We had a split second to get her attention for the bill. Here's the disgusting part of the whole experience. Our waitress brings the bill and her exact words " I accidentally gave someone else your bill and they paid it. So here is there bill we expect you guys to pay for it. Don't worry its cheaper." In confusion I respectfully stated i would like to see our bill. The waitress then rolls her eyes and says she will have to print another copy. After waiting for another 10 mins. We walked up to the checkout, when the manager loudly announces that he was doing us a favor giving us the cheaper bill. In horror we loudly announced back we are not paying and left. read more

Very nice family atmosphere restaurant. This restaurant is always clean and the employees are very welcoming. The manager even comes by to check on your experience. My favorite is there 4 square breakfast which gives you a bunch of option for one low price. However, if you go there for dinner make sure you get a piece pie! read more

Not good at all a 30.00 bill and every thing we order came to the table cold. I wanted to say something but I was so hungry and would of had to wait another 20 minutes for them to remake the food. It wasn't that busy but a party came in after us (there was 2 of us) anyways I won't visit this square again. read more

i have been there twice now. jamie has been my server both times. yes i know that some people can handle being double sat and handle a full station. but she is not one of them. i too work in a restaurant and this is not how it should be. whether she was the only one working or she was only seating herself it was ridiculous. we were there for 10 minutes and in those 10 minutes she had 7 tables. the first time i ate there the tables that got there after us wee getting their food before us and we didn't order anything extravagant. it was just 2 burgers. she rarely checked on us and didn't stay long enough for us to ask if we needed anything. then we came here today for dinner and i got a four square and my boyfriend got a burger and the food came out fast but my pancakes were raw in the middle so i didn't even eat them. and again she didn't stay long enough for me to mention it. i think they need to hire some more people so that she can focus on a few tables at one time not the whole restaurant. also the booth she sat us in was extremely dirty. she also had a table sitting there for 10 minutes and she didn't stop by once. when she brought out the drinks the lady had a hot tea and she didn't even bring her a tea bag. this is beyond ridiculous. can't say i won't go back but next time i'll just get a piece of pie because you can't mess that up. well i hope you can't. read more
