Smoked meat (pork) with all fixings
    Pabs G.

Been waiting to try their food and finally able to. It was well worth the wait!!! For starters, we must support local small businesses! The spicy bomb was LARGER than anticipated. I was thinking this was an appetizer, but to my surprise, it's HUGE and serves as a meal! Even for huge local appetites. Fresh fish is a must and oh so ono! The smoked meat was tender and delicious. The shrimp katsu was yummy and crispy. I ordered my hot plates with all the fixings of crab, teagu, and side of Hawaiian style AND spicy ahi. The serving size is pretty darn good; eating leftovers for dinner. Service was good. Price point is excellent considering portion size and inflation. People standing in line were nice and shared what they ate from this food truck before. Menu and location changes so follow them on Instagram. Overall, excellent food and service. Give them a try! You'll go back for more yummy goodness just like I plan to.

This review is based from their food truck! :) When I found out they were going to be at Mililani Tech Park, I knew this was my opportunity to go since I kept missing them at the Waikele food truck events. They posted their specials on their instagram that morning so I had already decided on what to try. When I arrived, the menu they posted on their truck was a little bit different, but still ordered what I had already decided beforehand. The guy who helped me was super patient and nice. I told him this was my first time ordering from them! I decided to try their bbq pork plate. All plates come with your choice of poke (I chose the spicy cali), taegu, crab salad, pickled garlic, crispy onions, masago, and sauce. The plate costed $16 and I think that was a deal for the amount and variety it came with! The bbq pork was tender and so yummy. I really loved the spicy cali. The ahi was soft and fresh and very flavorful. My mom really loved the crab salad! The whole plate was so satisfying and it filled my mom and I! I hope to see them again soon so I can try their poke nachos and bombs!!!

Tried this place for the first time...we enjoyed it! You can order Regular or Large Poke Bowls or Salad over sushi rice, salad or nacho chips. My husband ordered the Regular Spicy Ahi Poke Bowl over sushi rice and I ordered the regular Soy Ginger Ahi Poke with Nacho Chips on the side so it doesn't get soggy if I have leftovers. Well, it was good so no leftovers! In the bowls, they added pickled garlic which I never tried before...I loved it! Wanted more! Bakubombs is on the menu which is cone sushi known as Inari where you choose Spicy Ahi, Crab Salad or Combo. They add Taegu, Masago, Green Onion and Unagi Sauce on the top. I saw them making it as I waited for my food and it looked really good! I think I'm going to try it on my next visit. The only bad part about this place is limited street parking.

Last month i ordered my husband a sushi birthday cake. I was able to order it on Instagram (the turn around time for them to answer on IG was a few hours!) I was able to customize this sushi cake to what I wanted on it. The day I picked it up, it was ready & they also included free birthday candles. This sushi cake was so pretty, it was hard for us to cut into it. Oh & it also lasted us two days (which we had to share it because it was a lot!) The fish was super fresh. Thank you Bakudan Poke!! We will definitely be back for more.

If you're looking to impress, this is the place to go! My wife had been raving about her coworker getting this sushi cake from another spot. I personally wasn't impressed by the coworker's cake, since I had been seeing all the Bakudan Poke posts on IG. Since doing things last minute kinda ends up being my thing around the holidays, I was in a serious time crunch while deciding what I'd add to our plans. On the day of my wife's bday (yes, worst procrastination of all time lol), I sent Bakudan a DM on Instagram, requesting info on their ordering process. Within about an hour, I received a response and proceeded to place my cake order... YAY! I was so excited about their specialty cakes with sashimi roses stacked upon a bed of sushi rice, crab/mayo mix, wasabi/mayo, unagi sauce and decorated with taegu, and sashimi roses made of avocado, hamachi, salmon and ahi. SO FRESH! I loved the added finish of decorative, (I'm assuming) EDIBLE flowers, too. We ain't girly girls by no means, but this cake was beautifully designed to make you melt. Upon finding the shop in mapunapuna, I was honestly a bit puzzled when it came to parking. Luckily, I knew Bakudan and Farm Feed Supply are partnered companies who deliver greatness from the same location, lol so I slid right into the one and only spot that was open! Labeled FARM FEED SUPPLIES or something like that. I was immediately greeted by the owner who had also prepared my cake. He was super friendly and was laughing when I revealed, "this entire cake is just for 2!" Thankfully, I was able to keep my huge cake of a secret safe until it was time to light the candles. Sooo beautiful!!! Thanks guys for making my wife's birthday one to remember! (And a special thanks for taking my last minute order!! Haha)

First time here in shop. Small location but super friendly staff. Hard to find street parking and a lot of flies. Everything looked clean and sealed tho.

Bakubomb. Inari stuffed with spicy ahi and crab salad. Unagi drizzle and taegu.

Poke bowl and Bakubomb was the bomb lol. They guys were so super nice. That itself makes me want to support their business. I had 2 gift certificates that expire in august so I wanted to make sure I used them before that. Glad I got to use them and hope to support them more in the future. Oh and did I mention that their poke was the bomb lol. So tasty with the sushi rice and all the unagi sauce and taegu!!! Everything was super super good!! Support local!

My coworkers been wanting to come here for a long time after he stumbled on it via Instagram. We finally had a chance to try it and walked in to a limited menu. There was the bakudan bombs and the house salad. The bombs are inari sushi with crab salad and tegu on it. This was way better than the salad in my opinion. The salad came with a small sampler of different poke. Spicy ahi, limu ahi, sliced tako, and crab salad. Overall it's a good option if you're looking for a different option for lunch but call first. Looking forward to trying the special poke cakes.

WOW!! I will start by saying just looking at the pricing it's not the cheapest lunch you'll get, mine was $18 BUT after getting your plate you realize it's a good deal. It is PACKED with goodness and just some of the most delicious grub! Each piece of the garlic chicken was so far and juicy and packed with flavor. The poke, fresh and melted in my mouth. I loved the upgrade from your typical Mac salad, which don't get me wrong I absolutely almost always enjoy, to the imitation crab salad. I also really enjoyed how the poke and crab salad was laid over a bed of greens. Yet another great touch! Hot food comes over typical sticky rice. This one dish fed me twice for lunch and my mouth and stomach were beyond happy both times! Told all my co-workers about this place and will definitely be back! There's two little tables outside where you can eat it. 411 parking is a b!tch because it's located in an industrial area so there is like no parking around because their hours are the same as everyone's that works in the area! So just be patient. We had to park like a 4 minute walk but so worth it!

    Korean chicken $16
    Nicole I.

A little bit confusing to find the store but sooo worth it!! First time trying the Korean chicken plate and I already want to come back to try more things!! Probably a poke bowl because the scoop of poke crunchy Taegu poke was maybe the best poke I've ever eaten in my life. Like wow. The flavor was insanely good and it was super soft. Also that was definitely the best crab salad ever. And the perfect amount of spinach. Literally everything on my plate was perfect. I didn't know the Korean chicken would have bones, but it was still one of the best wings/legs I've ever had. It was just the PERFECT amount of crunch and garlic. I would recommend checking their IG before coming just in case they close early like they did today. Wonderful service. I literally can't wait to come back.

Wherever Bakudan Poke goes they cause a commotion.. and i used to think "well what's so great about them - they cant be that good." Well I and o glad that i was proven wrong. And yes - they are that good!! The combination of flavors is pure art. And the bowls dont look that good but this is one of the times is all about the flavor. The poke, the crab salad, the Taegu, the pickled garlic.... ahhh my mouth is watering just typing this post. Their signature bakubombs are also a must try. If you aren't sure which ones you like get the combo which comes with two crab and 2 spicy ahi bombs. I prefer the the crab bakuboms the most. I am soooo glad they have a store front now and i liked when they had the later hours so i could go after work. Their hours have been a bit inconsistent lately so i have not had one of their poke bowls in a while and i am having some major withdrawals. Hahaha. CHeck out their store front - they also do some collars with local dessert people and so you can pick up dinner and dessert all in the same place. They also have things like salads and nachos now but i have not tried those.

They occasionally offer salmon as well! Obviously the dining ambiance is prolly the downside as it's a simple outdoor patio in front of the venue, but hey it does the job! It had great flavor without overpowering the freshness of the fish. - The wasabi ahi was also good, but be prepared for a strong wasabi kick that definitely clears your sinuses. - I also tried the Hawaiian ahi, which was a little too mild for my taste. - The miso tako ended up being my least favorite because it leaned much sweeter than I expected. Next time I'd probably go with the shoyu instead since I was looking for a bit more flavor. One thing they absolutely get right is the fish itself. It's incredibly fresh, buttery, and almost melt in your mouth tender. Compared to other well-known poke spots, I actually preferred the quality and flavor of the fish here. The only reason I'm taking off one star is the rice. They use regular jasmine rice, and I really think sushi rice would make a huge difference. Since poke is essentially fish and rice, the rice should complement the fish instead of feeling like an afterthought. Service was quick and straightforward. You tell them what you want, they build your bowl, you pay, and you're on your way. The shop itself is very small with no indoor seating, just a couple of outdoor tables, so I'd consider this more of a grab-and-go spot than a place to dine in. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the freshness of the fish alone. With sushi rice, this place would be even better.

The fish was super crispy, the meat was firm, and the fries were nicely fried. The tartar sauce or maybe more of a lemony aioli, was the star. It wasn't your usual tartar sauce; it had a homemade lemony sweetness that made it delicious. My only complaint was that the batter came off the fish pretty easily, which made it a bit tricky to eat at times.
