This is all about the tacos for me. We went with blackened catfish, smoked chicken, and grilled shrimp. Each one were a hit. At 3.25 a pop they are about the same price as any other place you can buy tacos individually. Very casusl setting too and you cant beat the view. read more

We went last night for the first time to eat! There was live music and it was busy! But our waitress, Kylie, was amazing! She was attentive even with her other tables and made us feel welcome. I ordered a ginger lemonade and the bbq nachos! Everything was amazing! The drink tasted great, i may have had two, and the nachos were really good as well. Not a good experience. Went up for a drink and sat at the bar for 10 minutes without being acknowledged or greeted. Made eye contact with a server who promptly diverted her eyes. Group of staff stood in the corner of the bar chatting while ignoring us. We left. Clearly poorly managed. read more

I have eaten the most flavorsome food on this balcony. My first and only time here was an experience to never be forgotten. I almost died on an atv tour yesterday in Silverton and this is how I have chosen to live my life to the fullest. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and was delighted to see that the toppings (onions, pickles, and bbq sauce) were on the side for me to add to my sandwich at my leisure. The pork was of a tenderness I have only experienced at this grill on this day. The sandwich was beautiful. I was eating with my eyes long before my mouth. Everything about this restaurant is a 5/5 and if I were to return to Durango this would be my first stop. Krystin did a wonderful job serving us this evening and I owe my experience here to her expertise in her field. The chef cooked my meal to perfection and I would love to personally thank them for their beautiful craftsmanship. read more

This place is great. We went on a cold and rainy day in March and loved it. The staff is awesome and offered a lot of great suggestions for drinks and places to go. We will go back for sure for the service and the Hussong' tequila. By the way... thanks for the green chili recipe. read more

I was really impressed with the level of service I was provided last night. The bartender especially was awesome, he called me by name, asked and checked in on how food and drinks were doing at all the right times. Overall the food was all good. We had the shrimp basket and also the balcony burger/melt and it was very tasty. Tator tots were also a must! It's not a huge bar or place but it has plenty of space along with pool table, and several other games which make this place enjoyable. Will come back again for sure! read more

Very causal eatery. Great view of main if you sit at the rail. But when we went it was to sunny to sit there. Great vibe for lunch and pretty cheap for main street. Seems like it is a local hang out, with live music every night. read more

The indoor side bar is a great spot for happy hour. We got out of the sun and enjoyed a great margarita and great pulled pork sandwich. The bartender played the game we requested, and later turned off the volume when the crowd was more talkative. Right in the heart of downtown, and a mellow place to hang. It has a nice location where you can sit and people watch on main street when the weather is nice. Don't care much for canned beer (all they serve for safety reasons) and last two times we went the music was less than good. Sounded like a sick cat getting pulled through a ringer. read more

We were there in July. Were really excited to eat there because we like to eat local. Found us a table and sat down. For thirty minutes we sat there. No one even glanced our way. Others came a sat down and got their drinks. We continued to wait. We finally realized we were not going to get waited on and left. Went down the block to a pizza place and were sure glad we did. They were busy too but we were greeted and made to feel welcomed. The pizza was great but even if it had been terrible we would still have loved they place just because we felt they cared. FYI: I informed the waitress at the Balcony Bar that we had been there a half hour and never even acknowledge and she could have cared less. read more
