The restaurant Manager Kathy Scott was the absolute sweetest with great suggestions and good conversation. Our waiter Lok was equally as awesome. He kept our waters and mimosas full and he suggested the French toast which my boyfriend pretty much swallowed whole. I highly recommend visiting this spot. read more

Came here years ago one of my first times in Hawaii and it was fantastic, but recently when we've gone it just hasn't been the same. On that note, get out of the resort people!!! First off I'd like to say this place is like staying at your local theme park a lot of traffic and noise and non stop hustle and bustle definitely family friendly, definitely over priced considering they change over 60$ a night to park your car not only that the rooms are too big not to have a decent tub and the bar staff really needs to learn better hospitality considering the guy deliberately ignored me for a white group that showed up after me and that was enough for me to take my business elsewhere definitely don't see myself returning to this zoo ever again. read more

Overall the food is great and the service was very attentive. But the price is quite expensive for breakfast and some of the menu items. The ribeye is thin cut and was delicious. The kids menu are very simple and nothing stand out for the price we were charged. The Omelet is good but also on the pricy side. We also got the most expensive avocado slices-- $7 for five slices. I guess we pay for the view and the convenience. It's a been it done it that kinda of experiences but probably can get more food with the price we paid elsewhere. My suggestion would be offering some complimentary small kids appetizer fruit or bread to start since this is considered as a more upscale restaurants. read more

Ate breakfast two mornings of our stay. The view was spectacular. One morning we ordered the surfer omelet - packed with fresh ingredients, however it could use a little more seasoning. The smashed potatoes were awesome! The other morning we tried the pork belly benedict but on top of a biscuit. Nice large portion but the pork was dry and lacked flavor. We made a reservation for 7:30 on a Friday night. We arrived a little early and were told it would be a couple of minutes, so we sat down in the lounge waiting area. Some other people were eating their dinners there. We waited for roughly 15 minutes when the hostess came up to us with champagne and apologized for the wait. This was a nice touch. They also let us know that the fireworks would be going off soon, so they led us to the balcony, where we were able to watch the fireworks with our champagne. Shortly after, we were seated at a table. We ordered wine and the shrimp cocktail, which was so good. Also these were the biggest shrimp I have ever seen!! We also ordered seafood platter, which was tasty as well. Overall, the experience was excellent and well worth it (especially if you have Hilton Honors--they let you combine the daily credits for a single use at a nicer place). read more

Wow this meal was excellent! It was our Valentine's Day meal, and we were seated in a comfy, semi-private nook-booth area. I really enjoyed the dim, romantic vibe in the restaurant. We had a prix-fixe menu that night for the holiday. We started off with some Brussels sprouts for an appetizer - and WOW - they blew my mind. I am a big fan of Brussels sprouts and these really stood out as the best item on the menu. My husband chose the filet & potatoes for his meal and I had a delicious scallop over risotto dinner. Waaaay overpriced. Food was average. My fish was served under cooked; so, $50 for pretty tasty rice & 3 asparagus spears. I had ordered a cake in advance for a special occasion. $84.00!!! It's the smallest cake they make, 6". It was terrible. Hard to believe they can't do better. Ambience is ok if you have an ocean view but then, the smokers sitting on the sea wall just below, pollute the air wafting into the restaurant. Service was very good. The tourists, overall, really get screwed here. Can't wait NOT to come back to Hawaii. read more
