This is a great place to come for a snack or coffee. Great coffee - you are greeted with a wonderful aroma and bright space. Not a great place to "hang" or do work. Wifi is extremely slow and chairs are uncomfortable. This may be purposeful so no one gets to comfy and stays. Based on the reviewed, I expected a warm and welcoming place that smelled wonderfully of coffee. This place smelled strongly of sweet flavors, as they seem to serve a lot of flavored coffee. Not what I expected. Plus no place to plug your laptop in and charge. Not exactly a spot that encourages anyone to stay longer than it takes to drink their coffee. Comfortable, quiet, gorgeous aroma. Temperature of water for tea was perfect. Wi-fi is reliable and fast. Lovely ambiance. Polite staff. I have gone into this place a lot. The last 8 or so month the place has plummeted. Finally (today), a past employee that I think came back from last year named Robyn, was helpful with choosing a coffee! She was knowledgeable and did not seem like she was reading off of a card. If I asked for a certain taste, she could easily name several coffees to help me narrow it down. She offered her own opinions as well as holding a conversation with me about coffee. Finally an employee who cares!!!!!!! She even helped me with teas whereas when I ask most employes get a face full of fear- ahhh Teas so scary! I could not say how many times I have came in here recently with employes that seem to not know what they are talking about. I would hate to see their few great employees (including the girl today) to leave. If you are in there, ask for someone knowledgable about coffee and hope to get her. However, I have seen a woman come out and not use gloves while I am waiting for my bagel. Gross. Overall, a cool place to go! Not too many coffee shops around here that are good. read more

So they have about 100 bins out in the open with roasted coffee in them, and they are very proud of that. But ask any of the teenagers when any of them were roasted, and it's like a deer in headlights! They standard response is, "we roast our coffee every day, it's all fresh." REALLY...so every single bin has been roasted that day? Like every other half respectable roaster, they should put the roasting date on the sign or they can tell you definitively. Asking when it was roasted is an obvious question to most above average coffee junkies. Freshness matters. If you know the roasting process and the equipment they have, it would surprise you that they can pump them all out in a working day. Oh, and don't even bother ordering a pourover brew. It's comical to watch them fumble through such a simple process and completely ruin the coffee (they use a plastic measuring cup, the water isn't to temp, they don't let it bloom, they flood the grounds, and give an eye roll in the process. I was very excited to try out a local roaster after having moved to the area from D.C. Unfortunately Baltimore coffee and tea was VERY disappointing. In the parking lot the smell of flavored coffee made me nauseous. Some people may like it, but at this place the smell was overwhelming - a mix of dozens of different flavors that combined to make a noxious odor. Definitely not for me or any of the coworkers I dragged with me. Inside was even more of a letdown. Everything was old, dirty, grimy. There was dust everywhere. Tables were sticky and covered in crumbs despite the place being empty. I kept my hopes up though - I have a soft spot for fresh delicious coffee. I couldn't believe how watery it all was. The coffee (which was definitely stale from sitting out too long), the americano, iced coffee, cappuccino, all were no good. Before even trying the coffee you can see how light it is, bleh just no flavor. The service was pleasant enough, nothing special but can't complain about the guys behind the counter (note the omission of "baristas" as they seem to be lacking the skills for such a name). I won't be going back, I think the same goes for the rest of my party. I would say go ahead and give it a try, MAYBE, but do not go in with high expectations. I am not a big fan of Starbucks coffee, to be honest, but I would have to painfully say that Charbucks is certainly head and shoulders above this place in all aspects. read more

Update - not sure what happened but this place has really taken a nosedive during the past 12+ months. First, they stock neither Jamaican Blue Mountain nor Hawaiian Kona coffees anymore which was the main reason I spent my $$$ there in the first place. It's the same old song-and-dance every time about 'limited availability' etc. Service is OK but nothing special. There have been a couple times during the past year that I tried to submit my 'bean card' (loyalty card) for a free pound of coffee only to watch them literally get pissed-off about having to honor it. This is probably the best coffee/tea place in town. It's a nice environment with great coffee, tea, and pastries. When you walk in, you smell the freshly brewed coffee and the dozens of bags of coffee beans in the store. You can smell all the different coffee beans in the bags and take some, or decide which one you like. They have a huge selection of teas as well, accompanied by friendly employees that will give you their opinion on great coffee and tea flavors. They have other drinks like lemonade and juices, and they have bagels, scones, and pastries. Great coffee, great tea, not too expensive. read more

Coffee was amazing, however we were here for several hours and could not get the wifi to work. We asked for assistance with troubleshooting with little help or responsiveness. Really cute! This place smells incredible. I smelled like coffee for hours after I left. I pass by this place all the time but yesterday was the first time I've come in. I don't really drink coffee or tea but we stopped in yesterday for a light dinner after work. They have a bunch of different sandwiches plus bagels, salads, gelato, and pastries. They were out of most of the different types of bagels so I just got a plain bagel but it was still really good. Also got a blueberry muffin and picked up a small pack of cookies (which were pretty undercooked, my favorite). Prices were decent, it was about $8 for all that plus a large bottle of water. Poor service/confrontational staff. Will never return even though it is close by. Security guard at a coffee shop is about the least neighborly thing I can imagine. A video played on my phone for under five seconds and the security guard felt the need to confront me despite music and loud conversation that was at a higher decibel. I absolutely understand a rule like that, but the threshold for intervention was far, far too low, but perhaps typical for aggressive off duty police. Just so unnecessary. Love the variety of coffee beans on display. I had a tuna sandwich and a cafe au lait. Both were very good but the coffee was so hot I couldn't drink it for a very long time. Will definitely go back. This place has some great coffee selection. My parents have lived about a mile from the store since I can remember and its alway a a treat. I don't go very often (prices are a bit high but what artisanal coffee shop can you say different?). This last time I went to grab a coffee with my aister just before they wwre closing. They ended up just giving us the drip coffee for free since they were about to get rid of it (we just paid for added syrups). That made my day! The bean variety is copious even for decaf. Very cool place! Ambiance was very nice and easy going. The location itself is surprising, but means that there will be less people. I'm sure it busier at certain times of day, but I was there maybe an hour before it closed. Everything about it was clean and fresh.
