Suffice it to say that I can grub Bambino's sauteed mushrooms like I'm a mushroom fan. Add to that the best breadsticks ever, plus plenty of tasty pasta, pizza, salad, and sandwich options, I can always find something I'm in the mood for. The only thing that I have ever been slightly disappointed with is their gorgonzola sauce... but for all I know it was simply a bad gorgonzola sauce day. I can only review the pizza slices. For $1.99 for cheese it's pretty good. I've had plenty of slices all over the bay. For the price it's hit and miss but it's pretty good. A couple people complained about the waitress or greeter being rude but I haven't seen her in awhile and she wasn't that bad. The new waitresses are nice. For 50 cents you can add a topping. I've only gotten mushrooms and they tasted a little Dry. I notice with mushrooms they skimp on the cheese. The sauce is good and so is the crust and I don't like all crusts. Unless they over cook it it's worth it. One time I reversed out with my slice on the car, parked, came back with the ruined slice they made me a new one for free. read more

This is a solid pizza joint. I ate here with a few people based on the fact I had a restaurant.com coupon for this place. The all meat pizza is what was needed and it was as good as advertised. The service here is great and the owner is as friendly as can be. Even let us try some of the Insanity Hot sauce, as one of the people I was with thought he could mad up. The girl and I ordered pasta to go the first time we came here, and weren't disappointed. It was simple, but tasty, and decent portions. More recently we ordered a medium pepperoni pizza to be delivered, and some garlic bread. Delivery was prompt. Very good prices compared to my favorite pizza in the area (The Round Table chain), and just as delicious. The garlic cheese bread wasn't light on garlic as another reviewer said either. I have had a lot of pizza in my life from a lot of different pizza places. And Bambino's by far has the best Pizza in the area. I live over in Danville and came out to concord to pet sit for my cousin and I decided to make a quick stop for lunch and order a medium pepperoni pizza with sausage and jalapeños, to go. It was made pretty quickly and tasted absolutely amazing. It had tons of flavor, it wasn't greasy at all, and there was a perfect amount of melted cheese that made you want more and more! I definitely know what kind of pizza I will be ordering next time. When I came in to pick up the pizza, I noticed that the ambience was very welcoming. They had multiple tvs playing different sports, everything was very clean and set up, ready for customers, and the workers were very nice and helpful. It's definitely worth the drive from Danville just for a slice of pizza or an entire pizza. I highly recommend this place. read more

It's pretty decent pizza...a little bit bland but still good (3 stars). If they created a better sauce with a little spice or seasoning, they would have a very solid pizza (4 stars). Quality of products appears good and fresh. Concord really doesn't have a "GREAT" pizza place....go to Melos in Pleasant Hill or Rocco in W.C. for a killer pizza. This place is really good. Really good pizza, great service - the server even remembered the type of beer my friend had ordered the week earlier, and she tweaked the number of people we had just a teensy bit, so we could get a free pizza. They're right by the Willow Pass Community Park or whatever it's called in Concord, where tons of softball and kickball teams play, so if you come in with 7 or 8 members of your team (I can't remember which), you get a free medium pizza. I think we were short a person and she said it was good enough. Yay! :) They have Angry Orchard cider, which I appreciate. Bambinos is an awesome place to grab a pint, eat some excellent pizza or pasta, and watch the game. Offerign a lot of televisions and every sports package you can think of. Ishmael, proprietor/head chef, is super friendly and knows what he is doing when it comes to food. The waitstaff is cute and friendly. The food uses fresh ingredients and it shows-everything I have ordered is excellent. I always get pizza- Bambinos special w/pesto sauce. Gnocchi and Raviolis are good too. Came in here for lunch today. Wanted to try out there all u can eat salad and pizza,for $7.45.All they had were 3 slices of pizza two which were Hawaiian and one pepperoni. (Who knows how long they sat there before I came along)I'm sure they saw that's all that was available for pizza, but made no effort to restock the rotating pizza warmer. I ended up eating the pepperoni slice and had to have two salads. So essentially I payed $7.45 for an alright salad. Back when my boys played football at Concord High Bambinos was a regular fixture for us and a few of the other families, it was always a good time, good food and great staff. In the last year they have really dissapointed!!! Some of our friends planned a big graduation/birthday party last year and had everything arranged with the owner, it was a large party close to 150 im guessing. Then a day and a half before the party the owner backed out on them because there was a basketball game on I have tried to avoid going there after that but tonight I made the mistake of agreeing to meet some family there and man mistake is an understatement!! Our waitress was awful, my raviolis were cold after waiting an hour to even get them! Asked for bread 3 times then finally got it after we were done eating! She forgot to put my niece and nephews order in at all! At least I dont have to worry about trying to find a spot in their ridiculous parking lot ever agaim!! read more

Great Restaurant for a group, I have held an East Bay Geek Meetup there and plan to host more there in the future. I also go with my boyfriend now and again since we live so close! The mozzarella sticks and the sauteed mushrooms are some of the best I have ever had! The mozzarella sticks come out crispy and gooey and they use a great tasting cheese. The sauteed mushrooms are seasoned wonderfully and cooked just right. The pizza is always solid, one of the best pizza's I have had in the East Bay. I love their crust (which is probably why I also love the bread they serve if you get an entree) and I really like the pasta they serve, so fresh tasting! I only wish it was a little cheaper, I would go there a lot more if it was, but that is true of most restaurants! read more

I've must of ordered 15 pizzas from this place over the years and the pizza is always fresh and good. We've had delivery and usually their time estimates are right on. Accurate with pick ups too. When we dine in, the service has been friendly and they are not going to forget you are there. Yeah, sometimes there is a long wait when the place is crowded but what do you expect? The fact that it gets busy speaks for itself. Their prices are reasonable. Especially if you use their coupon. The cons are the facilities. The area is a little sketchy at night. Came to Bambino's for the first time on Saturday, 2/2/19. I ordered a "Small" Pepperoni, Salami, Mushrooms, Mozzarella and Ricotta Calzone. It was delicious but I was only able to finish 1/3 of this gigantic calzone because I got so full. I took the rest home and enjoyed it again later that night. The service is good and since this was our first time there, the waitress paid special attention to us. We will definitely go back soon. I would like to sample some of their other items. read more

The pizza is terrible! We ordered a whole medium pizza to go. The pizza pie tasted like Domino's or Costco's. No flavor. The pie tasted heavy and doughy. It seemed like the cooks just roll out the dough with a rolling pin versus flinging it up in the air like a real Italian. The Bambino pizza cooks should be sent to New York for training in the fundamentals of pizza cooking. First, a good pizza crust should be thin, crispy and little crunchy, NOT thick, doughy, or mushy! Second, the sauce should be well balanced with the cheese and oil, NOT just dumping a gallon of tomato sauce onto a raw dough. Costco pizza at a fancy price. read more

My boyfriend and I come here all the time since he lives right down the street. I have previously posted a five star review but now changing it after the experience I have received with the manager. We ordered the margarita pizza (which we have gotten many times with no problem) and we got it with red sauce. Not a big deal since we come there all the time and know it was an honest mistake but when I called the next day to hopefully be given some kind of credit for a medium pizza the manager argued with me that the pizza comes that way and we should know how to order it! If I had any issue before I would've obviously ordered it that way. His response was "idk what to tell you". Well he doesn't have to worry about it because he won't see my face in there anymore!
