I love this place. I live near by and frequently order take out and eat in this restaurant. They have a fantastic sushi bar and a full menu of fresh, homemade Chinese food. The owners are husband and wife who choose to decorate parts of their restaurant with their young children's artwork. They are an Asian family that live near by. They are very friendly and give this place a welcoming, homey kind of feel. Drop in and say hi. Maybe make a few new friends. read more

My sister and I were excited to find a sushi place on the westside and were eager to give it a try. We pulled up to the door and immediately noticed a family outside staring at us like we were bothering them. We walked inside and the family followed us ...it turned out the be the owners. One of the two small children they had in tow immediately started screaming and the wife asked us curtly if the order was for here or to go. We told her we hadn't decided yet if we were staying and asked for a menu. After a few seconds she asked us again if we were ordering for here or to go and seemed very annoyed that we had decided to walk into her business. By the way, this was not near closing time...it was the middle of the day. She didn't ofter to answer questions or anything...just stared at us blankly...all the while one of the two small children was screaming ( I would have been understanding if she had needed to step away to attend to the child but she didn't do that either...she just stood there making us uncomfortable). At that point we decided to walk out. The food might be great, but we'll never know, they clearly didn't want us there, so we won't be going back. It's worth the drive to Hyde Park for better service. read more

If you like Sushi and Pad Thai, this is the place for you. There is not a lot if seating, but John, the Sushi Chef, is such an asset. Great to talk to, and the food was amazing. Huge portion sizes and not too pricey. I look forward to my next visit. In addition, this has got to be some of Cincy best Pad Thai. I really love this place. read more

Food was fantastic. Traveling from NY & always Leary of land locked states & fresh fish/seafood. Was totally delighted with our sushi. Ordered 4 rolls- Dragon, Philadelphia, spicy tuna & spider roll. All were heavenly! The food gets 5 stars but service only 4. I'm on a gluten free diet ( health issues) & when I asked about GF soy sauce, the waitress said they didn't have any because not many people asked for it. She then told us that Krogers carried it if we wanted to buy some. I thought this remark was rather odd. A $3 investment in a bottle of GF soy sauce would go a long way. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. The food gets 3 stars. The service gets -50 stars. The server/hostess/waitress/owner/wife gave off a very rude and condescending vibe as soon as we walked in. She was EATING right next to us at the adjacent table and "serving" us at the same time. Worst of all, she was chewing/smacking her lips so loudly that it was hard to focus on eating my food. I asked for some water and she got up from eating and texting and went and got my water without washing her hands - while still chewing! Then she went and cooked a meal for another customer without washing her hands too!! The health inspector should shut this place down! Not to mention she brought us our bill, wouldn't accept our credit card, and then comes back with an even more expensive bill because she forgot to add something... very eventful dinner, to say the least. I got take out from here a few times a couple years ago. This place used to be good (3 stars). The last time i got it was aprox 8 months ago??... I vowed I'd never go again b/c i couldnt distinguish what the chicken was and the sauce looked like goop. (don't think it was chicken, it was a slimy something). Unfortunately, I forgot my bad experience and went in this past Sunday afternoon after Xmas shopping w/ boyfriend. He has never been here. After we sat down, I remembered I hated this place for some reason but not sure of the reason, but boyfriend was craving this food so decided not to rock boat. How quickly I remembered after we sat down: how rude the woman is that works there. Unfriendly, rude, like we are putting her out by taking up space in her establishment. And as one poster below said, yes, they eat right out there with patrons at a table, then get up and serve you, not bothering to wash up. It's odd. Now for the food: I WISH i had taken a picture!! Oh well. I will describe. My snow pea pod chicken dish was not good! First, the carrots were steamed for a couple minutes at best. Crunchy. Same with the zucchini. I do NOT like mushy veggies by any means but this was ridiculous. But on to the "chicken" and the goop that is spread on it. (yes, goop is a culinary term LOL slime, goop, goo, snot... you get the picture) I had to scrape this "goop" off of the chicken & veggies, and inside the goop seemed to be minced garlic (?) TONS OF IT. I literally had scraped as much off as i could and it was all lined up around the perimeter of the plate so I could at least try to eat some of the veggies & meat. The waiter came to ask how things were half way through. My boyfriend asked what this goopy stuff was as I took my fork to demonstrate the STICKY SLIMEY GOOP to him. He said that is curry and flour and "she must have put too much flour in it". Then walked away. At checkout, same guy asks how was it (there are 5 tables in there and we just basically told him, plus he saw when he cleared our table that i ate about 30% of what was on my plate. I Ate all the rice though, that was good) My boyfriend said "it was ok", then I chimed in, "it was not very good at all". No offer to comp the meal. And again unfortunately, my boyfriend who is a great person, tipped 4 bucks (both lunch meals were $6, so total $12) Seeing as they offered nothing to us, If it were me paying, they would not have gotten a tip at all. WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN NOR WILL I RECOMMEND IT, AND FOR THE ONE OTHER PERSON THAT I KNOW HAS GONE HERE, THEY WILL BE HEARING ABOUT THIS TOO. Owners dont care when a customer is not happy. I have had sushi in France, Europe, Florida, Cincinnati, etc... This has by far the best sushi I have had. Their fish are extremely fresh as well as a great atmosphere. I highly recommend trying it. read more
