This is the second time we've eaten here within 4 days, even though it's about a 30 minute drive…read morefrom us. The food is outstanding! First night we had the chicken satay app and each had chicken panang curry. This is our "baseline dish" by which we judge Thai food. The satay sauce was the best I've had and I swear I was ready to just spoon it into my mouth! We enjoyed a 1/2 price cocktail mai tai which was fresh and not overly strong or weak. The chicken panang was in some of the richest and most flavorful sauce I've had anywhere. We could alter the spice level but even the "kinda mild" that I ordered was just the hint of heat--perfect! Both dishes were generously portioned and lighter eaters could easily share. Second visit we opted for pho noodle soup on this unusually cold Myrtle Beach day! The server recommended the beef stew pho with the slow roasted beef (yeah twist my arm) and my hubby got the chicken which featured dark meat--a whole drumstick and other off the bone choices. There was so much roast beef and noodles! Again, even healthy appetites could've shared! The broth was everything pho is supposed to be, noodley, salty, hot, and chock full of green onions and sprouts! The flavor!!! My husband asked how my dish was and I described it as a warm hug in a bowl. The requisite plate of Thai basil, lime wedges and more sprouts as well as a sideboard of spicy add-ins were brought to the table. Enjoyed a 1/2 price pinot noir, the drink specials seem to change daily. Having moved from Northern Virginia and the convenience of a robust SE Asian population and food scene, we are blown away by Thai in Town--a treasure in North Myrtle! Go there. Eat much!

One of my NMB favs. Love the wonton soup, best ever. Also the sweet and sour chicken is great.read more

I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner; it's a step above and a very unusual find for a…read morerural area where other options are Waffle House, fast food, or fried this-or-that. To give you an idea, my husband and I ate there this evening and here's what we had (all excellent). Appetizers: tuna tartare with capers, wasabi, sesame seeds, lettuce, and crisps. It was well balanced and delicious. The other appetizer was Cambodian Spring Rolls, which were perfectly browned, and eaten by placing them in a romaine lettuce leaf with crumbled peanuts and dipping it in an amazing but light sauce. The textures and flavors played off of each other wonderfully, elevating it far above any regular spring roll you may be thinking of. For entrees, my husband had the special, Paella (saffron rice, mussels, shrimp, clams, and a whole crab, red bell pepper). Every item was perfectly cooked, neither undercooked nor overcooked and it tasted fantastic. My entree was perfectly cooked pan-seared salmon filet, with perfectly grilled large asparagus and the most amazing take on grits I have ever had (not your mama's breakfast grits). They were delicately flavored with butter, a hint of cheese and I don't know what else but it understated while still having flavors that seemed too complex for grits to have, without being overdone. There are menu items for both the more and less adventurous diner, and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. A gem in the middle of nowhere.

This restaurant is not to miss! The menu offers a wonderful array of Southern, French, and Asian…read morecuisine. No matter what you choose, the food is absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection. The servers and owners are special people. Thank you - we will return!

Let me start by saying--I'm not someone who looks to tear a business down. You can check my past…read morereviews and see that. But this was hands down the worst sushi I've ever had... and I'm not even sure it qualifies as sushi. I started with the gyoza (dumplings), and honestly--they were excellent. Easily top 3 I've ever had. That got me excited for the sushi. Then the rolls came out. They were massive, piping hot, drenched in a brown sauce, and topped with what they called "spicy crab." First bite? Complete shock. It was still hot and had this strange, almost chemical oil taste. I didn't spit it out out of respect for the people sitting nearby, but it was bad. I tried a second roll thinking maybe it was just that one--but nope, same exact taste. This time I had to grab a napkin and spit it out. At that point, I asked for a drink refill just to get the taste out of my mouth and debated saying something--but honestly, I didn't feel like dealing with the back-and-forth of explaining that the food was basically inedible. I asked for the check and left after only one bite of each roll. For reference, the rolls were the "Caroline" and the one right above it on the menu. I'd strongly recommend staying away from their sushi--period. Ended up going next door to Cracker Barrel just to salvage the night.

I stopped in for sushi today. It had been several years since I ate sushi at this restaurant. I…read moredefinitely will not eat sushi there again. Although the staff were very nice, I found the sushi to be "mushy."I just didn't get the impression that it was fresh. I also found the rice to be very "gummy."
