I've been coming here for years and always enjoy their yellow or red curry chicken and Thai basil fried rice is incredible!!! The service is quick and friendly. The restaurant's ambience is a bit outdated, so I usually don't choose to eat in, and it seems like dine in is closed a lot of the time. I ordered Pad See Ew and Papaya Salad from Bangkok Thai Cuisine while on a work trip as I had a hankering for Thai food. Unfortunately because of the time I arrived there weren't many options. The papaya salad was pretty decent. A little on the bland side but not bad at all. The pad see ew was very bland but ratio of noodles, meat, and veggies was good. The Thai spice levels aren't quite accurate here and I'm not sure if it is to accommodate the regular clientele or what. I ordered hot for the pad see ew and medium for papaya salad. I would say it was actually medium and mild respectively. If you're used to Thai spice levels, I would order one level spicier here. read more

So, I got this through Uber Eats as delivery. Maybe it's better in person? A bit over priced in my opinion for really hard and tough to chew mango sticky rice. I've always had good experience with this dessert at any Thai restaurant I go to. Unfortunately the rice was not sticky and chewy but tough and hard. Not pleasant at all. The mango also was the tiniest I've seen. I should have just driven to Chinatown for a third the price and better food, but I was lazy. So food is edible and you can feed yourself and not be hungry if that's what you're looking for. But, if you want a tasty and delicious meal, I'd say do NOT Uber Eats from here. The cheesecake was destroyed and melted, granted that could be the drivers fault. When it's midnight and you don't want fast food this was a good option. The location is in a small shopping strip next to a Walgreens. Upon entering its clear you will be taking your food to go. The menu is vast and consisted of many pages. I took a few pics to help. After placing my order it only took roughly 20 min to have my food. This the second worst pad Thai I've ever had, first place was a TERRIBLE place in Katy. I looooove Thai food and have eaten it my whole life, so let's get into it.... First of all, it's pinkish-red. Never in my LIFE have I ever seen pink/red pad Thai. It's usually a very obvious orange or even brownish. The color is crazy. Second, I paid for extra chicken. This is a regular amount of chicken. Idk if they forgot or what. I've included a picture for reference. Third, not enough sprouts or peanuts. The whole dish is just overall bad. I ordered 2 hrs ago on Uber eats. I ordered the Pad See Ew, Egg drop soup, and the Thai iced tea. I would share pictures but I already ate it . Everything was delicious! I usually order my pad see ew from tony Thai but they were closed so I decided to give this place a try. And I don't regret it! The only complaint I guess I have is the portion of the Thai tea is quite little. I use to love eating here 7 or 8 years ago. The late night cook, which is not Thailand, is horrible, the lady chef during the day who was from Thailand was an awesome cook!! They had some of the best Thai noodle dishes!! I'm not sure if she is still there or not. My Pad Kee Mao was horrible and dry n lack flavor, I also order Thai basil fried rice for a friend and it looked so greasy and not fresh ingredients! My fave Thai place down the street Thai gourmet had a one hour wait in Saturday. Didn't feel like waiting so I yelped the nearest Thai spot and found Bangkok Thai. Customer service was great. Very attentive. The food was excellent. I got our pineapple fried Roche. Very tasty. A lot different than I am used to tasting but it was very good. I tried my grandmothers pad Thai and it was good as well different but good. They must be from a different region that most Thai spots in Houston. The best part he fried ice cream. My god that was so good. Really enjoyed it here. They have a big screen tv that what showing the Houston Rockets. They also have a karaoke machine. I love thai food, and even more, I love takeout thai food. So I was pretty disappointed in the delivery I received from Bangkok Thai Cuisine. The flavors were about 3 stars, delivery about 3 stars, but the portions were EXTREMELY small for the price that I paid. And the food was packed very poorly, with grease being everywhere as we tried to serve our meal. I would give them 1 star each for packaging and portion size. For an overall score of 2. Unfortunately, they did not hand my delivery driver the Thai Tea I had ordered with my meal when he came to pick it up. I tried calling the restaurant after the delivery driver told me that they did not include a drink when they handed him the food. I've had plenty of Thai food from all sorts of restaurants, and all the dishes we ordered here tasted funny, oily, and just somewhat "off". We ordered: * Thai basil fried rice with chicken and tofu (pics looked good!) this had such a weird offputting taste * papaya salad: hands down the WORST Thai papaya salad I've ever had * yellow chicken curry: some carrot pieces were sour? * chicken pad Kee mao noodles: probably the best tasting out of everything, but that's not saying much. Too oily * BKK crispy pork Gailan: how do you mess up vegetables? Tony Thai's is the best. * Tom yum chicken soup: We didn't even get to eat this yet... After trying a little bit of everything except the soup, I was curious and went back on Yelp. Now after reading the reviews of hair and roaches, my stomach feels queasy. I got off work late one night and was looking for food delivery on Ubereats.. crazy that Bangkok Thai was still opened considering it was like 10:30pm. This doesn't really add up to their hours of operations but maybe they have some contract/deal with Uber?! Whatever it is, I'm glad they were opened when I needed them to be! Ordering was easy and Ubereats dropped off the food as expected. The food was packaged well and there was not a drop of food on the outer packaging. I ordered the Phad See Eww, if you follow my reviews you probably know this is one of my favorite dishes when getting Thai, and it was good. Lots of veggies, the noodles were cooked right (not overly soggy), they put pepper on it (which I like) and there were lots of tofu (my protein of choice). I ate the whole thing - cause I was hungry or cause portions were on the smaller side? No idea. Boyfriend ordered the Panang Curry - flavors were good but there wasn't enough substance in the dish. He said there was lots of broth/curry and not enough meat/veggies. The curry did look super small and came with a scoop of rice. Overall, food was good - lifesaver that they were open so late for Ubereats but there is definitely room for improvement and portion sizes could've been a little larger! Another yelp victory, thank you reviewers for luring me in here. I wanted to try something new so here I was brought but the sign on the door said 10:00 pm but the "open" sign was still flashing, beckoning me in, telling me to come in everything is going to be ok, come to daddy...... I called to reassure if they were closed because inside looked like it was still bustling and the lady told me to come on in how long was it going to take for me to get here? "I am right in front of your parking lot ma'am, I'm coming in". I nervously told the lady that it is pretty much taboo for me to enter an establishment any sooner than a half an hour before it closes because I know how it feels. I worked in the food and beverage industry for over 15 years and every place I have worked seemed to have the same moral, not pointing that at me but just saying. I sat down, quickly ordered my drink and food but the lady told me to take my time because the cooks will be there till midnight (it was about 11:15 pm) and the people doing the karoake were going to be there until about 1 or 2 a.m. The food came out, I requested if they could make it extra spicy and boy they sure did all right. Even flavorful, not just the spicy part was right but it was just exact to where I could taste the flavor of the food without having to burn my taste buds to numbness. The menu had what I was looking for in which it was tofu but the kicker thing is you pick your choice of meat which would be pork, lamb, beef, shrimp or tofu and match it up with the style that they cook it via ingredients. I think I ordered the garlic with broccoli but don't quote me. Tonight must have been karoake night but the thing that made me feel comfortable is they did not have the singing and music blaring. Even if it was mostly music and language that I did not understand but all around it was still pleasant. Service, the lady and staff were so bent on making sure everything was all right and making sure that I was comfortable they almost made me feel like I was their best friend or equivalent. Another added touch that I hold some places a boosted extra star is when the servers/help leave about 2 inches of the straw wrapper that arrives to your table with either water or soda. This really opened my eyes since I always cringe at the idea that somebody back there could have been digging for gold nuggets before picking a straw out of the straw box and slapping a now contaminated straw into my drink but not here, they do it right leaving that top part wrapped. The price of the food was good for what was served. I remember $8.99 plus tax, parking is in a strip center so in the day time it might be tricky. I hope this places stands here for a long time because I plan on doing some heavy trips back and with friends because of that hit on all cylinders for this visit. ---------------------------- Update: Oh! and I forgot to add in, FOUNTAIN DRINKS! Even food delivery people were cancelling orders and leaving because nothing was ready and they were asked to wait 20+ minutes for their orders. And IF they have it, it's most likely not cooked to my liking as I have a certain level of expectation...(noodles have to be flat ...don't substitute some crazy noodle in place of the noodles for real pad kee mao, flavor bland, not just anything thrown in..etc). Believe me, I've had my share! So to my delight I was able to order the pad kee mao off the lunch menu...and OMG...to my surprise not only did it come out like Pad Kee Mao should...it was delightfully tasteful and delicious...and not to mention I like my food HOT and SPICY...and they do not disappoint! Lunch is served with crispy spring roll and soup of the day (sometime I secretly wish the soup wouldn't be good then I would have an excuse to finish my meal..but that's never worked out...the soup is surprisingly pretty good each and every time!).
