This review is specifically about the sushi. It's a little odd to me that a place has two seemingly very opposite food cultures in Thai and Sushi (Japanese) and while my wife and our other diners really enjoyed her their Thai dishes, the sushi we got was just disappointing! I have to say I was expecting a little better given the star rating, interior etc. I really like the menu and the fact they tell you what's inside and what's on top of each roll, but despite ordering what I felt were described as very different rolls they all looked and tasted SO similar and with little in the way of those drastically different flavors in each sushi bite. My wife compared the quality and taste to grocery store sushi and she's not wrong. Might go back for more Thai dishes. Will definitely skip the sushi next time!

Food: soooo good!! Great portions prices and flavors so good. Fresh veggies. Jumbo shrimp, hot white rice. We got the green and yellow curry, crab wontons, Thai spicy fried rice, viva Vegas roll, shrimp coconut roll. I asked for substitutions because I'm allergic to avocado and they did a great job. So excited to eat leftover today! They brought kids cups without me asking with a little lemon in them. Service: excellent, fast, cleared plates brought everything needed. Fast in bringing containers and check when I asked. Ambience. Clean spacious and pretty. Nice decor. My children were interested in the everything. Cool tv showing Thailand

The best place for a group with some who do and some who don't like sushi! Normally I would be skeptical of a place trying to specialize in more than 1 area but this restaurant does both sushi and Thai very well!! We were pleasantly surprised with the flavor, quality, and presentation of all our dishes. We tried a variety of the specialty rolls and 3 Thai dishes. The inside is clean, the service is nice, and the overall experience was calm and enjoyable. We will be returning!!

I went in on a Tuesday night. I saw several reviews saying that this restaurant is usually really full, but there were lots of empty tables at that time, and it didn't take very long for my orders to arrive either. I LOVED the Pad kee Maow. The flavor was on point. Even the onions by themselves tasted so good. It's my favorite thai noodle dish in Utah so far. The green curry was alright, not sure if the pad kee maow was so good that the curry was very average compared to it. I also got the Something Right 69 Roll. I was slightly disappointed. It was nothing special; wish there were more soft shell crab--I felt like it got overpowered by all the other ingredients in the roll. Fish was not that fresh. This roll was not worth $16. The environment was clean. Service was quick, but the servers didn't seem very friendly. I don't think I'll be back for the sushi, but I'd love to try more Thai dishes, and I'll definitely be back for the Pad kee maow!! (Pad kee maow itself would've earned it 5-star. I think this restaurant should just focus on doing Thai food.)

My group and I had a pretty good experience at Bangkok Wasabi. To start things off, they don't take reservations so it's first come first serve. We checked in with a worker, but he didn't ask us for our name or write any information down so I guess they just remember the order of people? We didn't have to wait too long, maybe 5-10 minutes, but it took a while for a waiter to take our orders (waited 20 minutes). Appetizers came out quickly and I got the crab ragoons. They may look a little over fried, but I thought they were really good. The filling to wrapper ratio was also well measured. I just hate when it's mostly wrapper with a dollop of filling. Two dishes came out before the other two, which was a bit awkward. They initially brought us the wrong plate and then took it back. Once everyone got their order, food was great. I will note, someone at the table ordered a level 4 spicy and said it was extremely spicy. For my main I got the chicken pad kee maow. Flavor wise it was really good. The noodles were a little overcooked and it wasn't at all spicy like the menu indicated, but nothing a little chili flakes couldn't fix. The chicken pad Thai was really on the sweet side, but the noodles were cooked perfectly. This also wasn't spicy like requested, but again....chili flakes. Service is a tad on the slower side, but our waiter was pretty attentive to refilling waters. They do close a bit early for my preference at 9:30pm on a Friday night, and aside from some minor service mishaps it was a nice dinner.

An absolute delicious dining experience a great option to be able to have Japanese food and Thai food. It's not a fusion of the two styles of cuisine, but it's a option to order sushi or noodle dishes or even the Thai soups great experience, friendly staff clean atmosphere inviting restaurant Parking can get a little bit tight as you could anticipate. Would highly recommend look forward to going back.

The best sushi I d had in utah!!! So, so good. With many options in case you have friends, a spouse, kids, or partner who do not like sushi. Reasonably priced as well. We will be back!! We got the big but easy and strawberry kiwi. Both were phenomenal and very filling!

Initially, I was a bit skeptical about the 5/5 Yelp rating, especially since restaurants that serve two cuisines often fall short of my expectations. However, visiting on a Thursday night, I was pleasantly surprised by the number of groups that came in. Thankfully, the restaurant is spacious, so finding a table for a small party shouldn't be an issue. The place was also incredibly clean! I ordered the pad kee mao with a spice level of 3, and it was a perfect 10/10! The dish had a balanced mix of vegetables, meat, and noodles, which is rare to find. The flavor was delicious with just the right amount of spice, and it was clear that the dish was freshly prepared, which I loved! The meat was also very tender. The sushi, on the other hand, was not bad, but nothing extraordinary. The ingredients did taste fresh, which was good. I got the dragon roll and sushine roll. I thought the sunshine roll was quite nice and mild in flavor, but the dragon roll had a little bit too much sauce, which made it overpowering. The servers were some of the nicest I've encountered in a while--attentive, cheerful, and polite. I'll definitely be back for more Thai food!

GET THE CRAB RANGOONS!! Maybe we were just really hungry, but they were to die for! Another great spot for sushi in Utah. The reviews did not lie. I like how big and open and clean everything was. We had a waiter on his first day, but he did well. Didn't try any of the Thai food but we'll be back to try more.

There isn't good Thai food in Utah County. None. We've tried it all. Then we tried Bangkok Wasabi. This place makes excellent Thai food. You can taste the wok char on the food. Their spice levels are actually spicy. They offer sushi as well, which is a strange fusion, but the sushi isn't bad. We've had all of the curry, dishes and many of the noodles and none of them have disappointed us. I was a little bit, disappointed by the Tom Ka soup when we got it. It was overly reduced and way too salty and thick. Tom Ka should be light and fragrant. We also tried the mango sticky rice, dessert, and it was very strange. The rice was very hot, which made the mangoes warm and instead of being sweet and tasting like sugary coconut. There was a strange oily flavor to it. The service is fantastic. The servers are so friendly and humble and helpful. They bow when they serve you which I don't expect at all, but I find it to be so charming Thai culture is just that: super humble and kind. I love that they bring that to their restaurant . I'm not someone who cares very much about service and so I don't mention it very much in my reviews, but it has to be mentioned here. The service is five stars. I'm so happy to know that there is good Thai food in Utah County now. Thanks, Bangkok Wasabi.

This is the place you want to go for a truly scrumptious meal. I've never seen a restaurant filled with polite and attentive staff and a meal with prices you just can't pass up! The servers were a delight and were extremely organized. The decor of the restaurant from the vibrant colored parasols at the ceiling to the cherry blossoms on the walls. I must say that the presentation was spot on! If I lived nearby this would be my lunch go to, for sure! I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant to those who want a great meal plus service. Sweet and Sour Bento 9/10 Loved it! Had great portions. Needed a little something for the fried rice Pork Dumplings 10/10 COOKED TO PERFECTION Miso Soup 8.5/10 Came out hot and fresh but the tofu seemed a slightly off Overall, I had a wonderful experience here and hope to return soon for another delicious meal. The food was excellent and had beautiful presentation. Although I don't eat fish the others at my table wiped their sushi plates CLEAN! So if you're a big fan of Thai or Japanese or BOTH, I insist you come here! read more

There seems to be Thai and Sushi places every block in Orem. While I'm guessing I haven't managed to get to all of them, I've been to a lot. The list of dishes and sushi options are pretty standard. That said, the quality of the ingredients and cooking exceeded most places. The one disappointment was the calamari. The batter was thick and not good. The crab rangoon was good. All the entrees we had were excellent. The owners nice. I think this will be our to go Thai place, and we'll give the sushi bar a shot on another trip. read more

We are back in town again and had to try the Thai food here. Did not disappoint!!! We had the Thai boat noodles (pho for those wondering). Great developed flavors. Very very good. The yellow curry is on point we great pieces of chicken and potato, onions were so sweet and added to the heat. (Beware 2 spices were pushing in the heat zone where the spice starts to overpower the flavors). Hand broccoli beef. Beef was sirloin and perfectly cooked with great developed flavors and broccoli was crisp and perfect. Their sushi is still the best I've ever had. The fried spring rolls were some of the best we have experiences. The peanut sauce is the real deal!! So good and amazing. And there dinner candies that come with the check are the best and our favorite. Love this place. read more

Coming back again to say my husband and I now make this our weekly lunch date spot. The service is truly impeccable. My husband's favorite dish is the orange chicken with fried rice. Best fried rice we've ever had. I'm usually not huge into fish but their baked salmon roll is perfection. So buttery tender and delicious. I love their attention to detail and they don't skimp on adding sauces on top of the rolls. The Vegas and Viva Las Vegas are my other favorites. We are originally from SoCal and this tops any sushi we've tried there and in all of Utah. Incredible service and delicious food with fantastic consistency. read more

The food here was fresh and delicious. The service is amazing and I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the service was. The location is in a strip mall and you don't expect to be treated like fine dining even though they do. The food itself is outstanding. All of the fish is fresh and the quality top-notch. Even the rice used to make those sushi rolls was better than I've had. We got the drunken noodle as well. This was by far. The best drunken noodle I have ever had! I have eaten at hundreds of Thai places all over the world. This drunken noodle is incredible. I will definitely be back in the near future. read more

Food was delicious, but a bit more expensive than I thought it was worth. Minus one star for charging customers a fee to use their credit card. Extremely lame practice for a restaurant. I'd understand if more if they were priced very competitive, but they aren't. No reason to punish your customers for their choice of payment. It was a 4/5 star otherwise. read more

Went tonight with the family and we all loved it. The staff is very friendly. Almost every person greeted us. Very fun place. The food was excellent. The Pad Thai was an A+, it had so much flavor. It's a little sweet but we honestly thought it was delicious. The yellow curry was excellent as well. We also got some sushi rolls. They were very large portions, we ordered a lot more than we needed. Next time we'll order a little less but it tasted great. We are a family of 5 with three young boys and every person liked every item we got. read more

This place is a hidden gem. Or maybe not so hidden? We went on a Friday evening and the place was packed. We knew it must be good. And we were right! The food was so good. So much flavor. Some of the best Thai food I've ever had. My wife and I got drunken noodles and a coconut soup (sorry, I forgot the name). They both were super delicious. And, of course, we got mango sticky rice for dessert. Sooooo yummy! Good service, clean restaurant, and the owner is the best. We got a chance to visit with her for a bit. read more

So glad they finally opened! 10 10 10 recommend. It's clean, food is quality and cost fair. Ask for Peter - he will deliver excellent food and service. Get their world class pad thai, yellow curry, Hamachi kama, calamari, poke, samosas, pineapple fried rice, thai iced coffee. The wait time for food is quick. Everything is served hot. Main course, we got the Parillada de Buenos Aires, this is where the issues start, our waiter said we were able to sub out a couple of the items on platter as tripe and sweetbreads (the glands of a veal if you weren't aware) are not things we enjoy. So we swapped them out for a chicken milenesa and a grilled chicken breast. It also came with 1 each of the sides that were pretty basic, and honestly lacked flavor in comparison (rice, potato salad, house salad, mashed potatoes and roasted veggies). Then the meats it comes with, a half chicken, a 12 oz skirt steak, 4 short ribs, some other grilled cut of meat (menu doesn't specify what kind) and a variety of sausages. The waiter, through super nice, totally messed up the substitutions. He brought them out but from the time ordered to the time we ate was about an hour, and for the correct food to come out took even longer. The food itself was pretty good, meats had great flavor and the milenesa when it came out was hot and juicy. The meats didn't need any dipping sauce because they were that well seasoned. Dessert we had the lemon "cheesecake" which was just a lemon cake with a cream cheese type frosting, not at all what you think of with a cheesecake.

I ordered the Big but Easy along with Strawberry Kiwi, both were surprisingly hearty and packed a punch in flavor. The balance of sweet and savory was spot on. Service was quick, friendly, and unobtrusive. While the sushi roll we tried didn't blow up away, the Thai dishes clearly stole the show, layered flavors, well seasoned, and not overly oily.
