Just a heads up it shares a space with a gas station but it's definitely it's own place. On my first visit, I got the Pork Noodle Bowl. They packed that thang with tender pork, crisp fresh veggies, and a great crunch from the peanuts. Tied together with their house sauce, the whole bowl was incredibly light and refreshing. For my second visit, I switched it up and tried the Chicken Katsu Banh Mi. They definitely nailed the bread, it was perfectly crispy. Why haven't I tried this sooner? This place has been recommended to me by quite a few ppl for quite some time now. I finally got to try it and again feel like I'm hooked. I felt like I had to try everything. I ordered shrimp spring rolls, the K Town fries, and the limited time spicy lemongrass honey shrimp banh mi. Honey! I almost hurt myself by trying to eat it all but have more than enough leftovers for later. Everything was amazing. The fries were so delicious and packed with the marinated beef. I've never had banh mi this good either. the bread was the perfect texture, not toasted too hard and not too soft. Service was within reasonable time. They're a super busy place and I can see why. There is only outside dining available. The parking lot is a bit limited. I have nothing but good things to say and look forward to exploring their menu more in the future! read more

Wow this place is amazing! This was close to our hotel after our plane landed and with the great reviews we knew it would be the first spot to eat. We ate inside on the counter due to the weather outside. They were playing Miyazaki movies on the inside and I absolutely loved watching them while eating. The space is limited on the inside but it was a slow time to visit so we were the only guests. Service was solid and it didn't take long at all for the food to arrive. This is the original location of Banh Mi Boys and it is a great concept but I just find I enjoy eating at more traditional Vietnamese restaurants more. There are so many great Vietnamese places in the area this is just the last spot I typically consider when I'm in the mood for a Vietnamese restaurant meal. It is nice to have Banh Mi Boys here and I think this location is a bit better than the one on Magazine Street but it is simply not my first choice when I want a banh mi, pho or some other Vietnamese dish. You order up front and pay initially, then they will bring you the food once it's ready. They have outside seating, so you can enjoy the weather if it's nice out. I had a grilled chicken with noodles. The chicken was cooked perfectly, but I found everything to be kind of bland. The chicken was juicy and tender, but it could have been seasoned better, and the vermicelli rice noodles were not seasoned at all. The pickled vegetables were also bland. The meal came with a sauce, but it hardly added any flavor at all. I had to add hoisin sauce to the whole thing to give things some flavor. What I tried was okay. I've heard that their other items are better than their rice/noodle plates (I heard this after I ate, so too late for me haha). If you try Banh Mi Boys, I would try their other items! Banh Mi Boys (BMB) has been on our list for some time now after seeing it featured on a few news outlets and social media. We were excited to taste fusion Viet/Southern with their version of the classic Po Boy and wings and were happily satisfied. Ordered - Bang Bang Shrimp Po Boy / Banh Mi (4/5). This was quite good. The shrimp had a nice tangy sweet and sour sauce and everything tasted good together - Pork Banh Mi (3/5). This was pretty average. It was good but didn't taste like a traditional banh mi. The meats were a little bland and there weren't enough Vietnamese mayo and complements to make this dish stand out - Sriracha Mayo Honey Wings (3.5/5). These were delicious and hot / fresh. A bit too sweet and saucy for our liking but a good take on some southern wings Overall, BMB is worth a visit for some mean fusion food. Is it the best banh mi in the world? I really wanted to love this place given all the amazing reviews and photos however I thought the food was a bit lacking for me. I had the garlic shrimp banh mi, pork belly banh mi, and loaded fries w/ the hot cheetos dusting. The meat to bread to veggie ratio was spot on unlike some other places I've been to where it's mostly bread. The garlic butter shrimp was the better sandwich but I had a section of my bread that was very hard to bite into. The pork belly was very salty and the liner of the pork belly was falling off and looked really weird to eat. The loaded fries were soggy and not flavorful at all, which is unfortunate as I love all things usually with hot cheetos/dustings. Spicy, tangy crunchy and HUGE! 5/5 would eat again and again and again. The Japanese Short Rib Bah Mi will knock you out and leave you in a food come for several hours. It is packaged with flavor and the fatty bits are delicious. The Crab Rangoons are a must. The filing is crazy good and spicy with a wonderful peppery flavor. Definitely too much food for the two of us. The braised pork was really good! It was tender and juicy. A lot of meat though, which was hard to eat an even bite of bread, veggies and meat. Still delicious though. The bulgulgi was tasty too! But I didn't really taste the kimchi. Crack fries were the bomb too, definitely for a late night snack, drunk person food, or maybe a college kid with a huge appetite. Either way, for me it was like a cheat day :D drinks were good. This place was probably the biggest surprise of my wife and I's 2 week New Orleans trip because we rolled up to a freaking gas station and got some amazing food. We found out that this is common in New Orleans, but it was a shock at first. We had the wings, fries (loaded and regular) and various banh mis during our trip. All of it was amazing but my standouts were the Asian shrimp banh mi and the Korean beef fries. So good. Wish we had a place like this in Nashville!!!
