I always enjoy places like this for the charm, hospitality, and comforting food. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. Our server, Randy, truly did it all--host, server, and chef. We ordered a mimosa, a spicy Bloody Mary, fried oysters, and the chicken fried steak. I'm always on the hunt for a great CFS, and this one definitely delivered. Everything was delicious. The beer list changes, but they are all well done and nice and cold. I've had the Smooth Old Fashioned, no complaints and wife enjoys the Margarita's. The wines are excellent. Our favorites are the Tempranillo, Mourvèdre, Viognier and surprisedly the Riesling, usually not a fan. We haven't been to a concert on site yet, but we have enjoyed the live background music and sitting on the huge covered outdoor area, with a breeze it's even barrable in mid-summer. After the drinks and meal, we might go do a tasting at the two wineries onsite or restock my Ranch Cut Reserve Bourbon. It's small but feels intimate not tight. I wouldn't call the place fine dining or upscale, but it's a step above casual. We were there for lunch and I felt fine in shorts and flip flops, but wonder if dinner is a different story. The lunch menu was mostly simple cafe sandwiches, salads, soups, and a couple different nachos/chips and salsa/chips and queso appetizer options. The Mexican food were primarily the daily specials the waitress rattled off for us. Speaking of, service was very friendly prompt, and helpful. Our waitress did a great job helping us figure out what we were in the mood for, offered substitutions and chatted us up on where we were from and what we were doing around town. Great staff. Overall if you're in town and looking for a sit down meal keep Francisco's on your list of options.
