Beyond disappointed.... Sad to say that this is my favorite restaurant, as that may change after they cancelled my delivery order twice this week, after I waited 30+ minutes for them to "prepare" it, only to cancel the entire order both times and not even bother to call me. Monday, they are open until 10pm. I placed an $80 DoorDash order at 9:29pm. 5 minutes after placing it, the status of the order was confirmed by them and it said they were preparing it. After 25+ min, the status changed to "DoorDash driver has arrived to pick up your order." 2 minutes later, at 10:01 I got a notification that my order was cancelled. Bankhead didn't call me, nor the did driver reach out to me. I waited 25+ min for you to "prepare" my order and then cancel it on me. At that point there were no decent restaurants open. Then tonight, your business hours and DoorDash hours state that you are open until 9pm. I placed a $43 order at 8:30. By 8:35, it said you were preparing my order. The dasher arrived around 8:50. It still said my order was being prepared and the driver was waiting for the order. 2 minutes later, the dasher sent me a message saying "they told me to tell you to cancel your order, their kitchen closed at 8:30"..... which is exactly when I placed the order. It was only a pizza and beer, really? Am I that much of an inconvenience to you closing 30 min before your posted business hours. I wasted 30 min waiting both days to have my order cancelled on me, and $123 in refunds. Update your hours on DoorDash if you're going to cancel orders on people 30 minutes "before you close" Once again, I'm starving and just waited 30 minutes for nothing. What a huge let down.... read more

We've been going to Bankhead since it opened, it's where we take out of town guests and go to celebrate everything from birthdays to just being a Tuesday night. The Liquid Language Barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout was off-the-hook good. You can taste the bourbon, but - and this is atypical for me with barrel-aged brews - it did not test my gut. Very, very tasty. Everything I had was good, but this shone. read more

The lobster Mac & cheese and stuffed avocados were so delicious! Now that the recommendation are out of the way... the place itself is cool, you get to see them brewing their cleverly named beers (I loved their blueberry sour). The staff was friendly and were zooming around to serve the packed restaurant. read more

It was our first time visiting on Saturday and definitely will not be our last! The atmosphere is absolutely amazing It's very inviting and a great little place to spend an afternoon drinking and chatting. One thing my husband pointed out was a lot of the reviews comparing this place to zanatas because of the connection of the owner and it's almost like comparing apples to oranges It's two different concepts so please look past that. That being said the food is absolutely amazing and I literally had to yank the lobster mac and cheese away from my husband as I thought he was about to OD! The wait staff here is absolutely outstanding very friendly and attentive but they do not hover making you feel rushed. Very cool place with Indoor and Outdoor seating. Although there weren't too many people, it could get a little loud from just people talking. The place is decorated very cute? My wife and I ordered pizza. She ordered the "Little Piggy". I ordered the "Brown Sugar". I added Jalapeno to mine. What an awesome flavor. At first I had a flavor of cinnamon toast. Some how there was a sweet flavor. A very good pizza. I wasn't too fond of the other flavor though. It did have food flavor but it wasnt for me. Wife thought it was good. read more

This has long been a favorite of mine, but surprisingly, I haven't taken to Yelp! yet to proclaim it to the world. From the service, to delicious in-house beers, to the weekly specials. Literally...I can't say enough about this place. Even had my 30th birthday hosted here thanks to my lovely wife. Beers: Gussy Up and their new Adios Bitchahcos are both easy drinkers but FULL of flavor. Always been a huge fan of both. However, my favorite is the Liquid Language. It is a MUST HAVE for a 4oz pour after lunch or dinner to top off an awesome meal. Food: Their pizza is an 8.5/10 in my book but they also had a wide range of offerings. The Hot Chicken bowl is delicious and their appetizers (mainly Brussels sprouts) and all fresh and flavorful. This past week they had an Appetizer Sampler Platter and a Pizza Boat. Both get rave reviews from me. The beef skewers had a sauce on them that is to DIE FOR! The grilled avocado was also yummy and I am not even an avacado guy. This is the second time visiting this brewery and my husband and sons absolutely loved trying all the different types of beer. The salad was fresh, crisp, and delicious! We had the buffalo mozzarella cheese as a starter and it had a hint of spicy. The whipped potatoes were perfectly creamy. The chicken was a bit tough, but the jalapeño gravy was a perfect amount of spicy. Skip the croissant beignets that are a special for this month. Bankhead Brewing is such a great spot in downtown Rowlett. It is perfect for either inside dining, or outside seating in their large patio. The staff were nice and efficient, and the food was great! I started off with the prosciutto wrapped jalapeños. They were delicious!! But definitely very spicy- and I'm really good with spice lol. Also ordered the pretzel which was huge and soft. I asked the waitress if we could just choose our own toppings for a pizza instead of ordering one off the menu and she said of course! My mom and I split a pizza, so I got half with mozzarella, pineapple, and jalapeño, and my mom got half with mozzarella, chicken, and mushrooms. Our friend got the street taco pizza and loved it! I liked the vibe and the whole menu sounded delicious. I can't wait to come back and eat on their patio once it cools down! read more

This place carries an amazing ambiance. And love that they are family/children friendly restaurant. Where they don't only serve beer but serve good food. Well, now won't have to worry about getting drink and getting food outside. In a group we can just hang out in one place and enjoy be a beer and best food. The best part about this place is their Pizza, hands down they got the best pizza. We tried stuffed Avacado, wrapped jalapeno, Pretzel omg this is my fav fav fav, fries and the locavore pizza. Everything from the was a too notch. Not to forget also the tried mac n cheese and flat bread that comes with this heavily dip sauce. I got the quarantine edition beer, adios bitchasos and my frenz tried other which I think were all good. Oh ya the seltzer is another good one. I am hooked to this place and will be visiting every time I visit Dallas. one of the best brewery to hangout with Fren and grab good food with good beer. One must try their pizza they offer. They have super friendly staffs working on the floor. The GM came and made sure our food is ok and we were having good time. Now to the meat and potatoes, the Pork Chop,sweet potatoes & broccolini Wow A+ seasoned moist tender on point, now everything else so far well no comments.. 1. Brisket grilled cheese - Boooooo, 2. Came by because of some high praise given by local businessman Jay Varughese, and boy was he on the mark! This place is such a hidden gem for the Rowlett area. The brewery itself is so unique, love how creative they are with the blend and even the stained glass inside. Just on service alone they deserve 5 stars. The owner and all the staff couldn't have been more welcoming! Came by on a day it was pretty packed but we were greeted and seated promptly by our serve Collin. He gave us some great recommendations and made sure our waters never went dry. We tried 2 of the house favorite pizzas- even with a group of 5 we still had slices left over so this will fill you up! The Carnivore was so yummy, that brick oven helps bring out some of those Smokey flavors of the aged provolone, pancetta and sausage. A little kick with Jalepenos but not over powering. The Buffalo Bill made with ground bison, some cherry tomatoes and Jalapeños to cut through some of that swiss, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese goodness!
