Quite disappointed in the speed of service and the taste of my food. The gravy tasted scorched, which affected the flavor of everything else. The portion size was large. It is a counter order and pickup. Seating area was very small and loud. Good people watching on kuhio avenue!

Stopped by Banzai Burger for a quick bite, and ordered the Waimea Burger along with a side of garlic parmesan fries. The Waimea Burger comes with two patties and is extremely filling, definitely a solid option if you're hungry. The garlic parmesan fries were super crispy and packed with flavor. That said, the food was very greasy: there was a literal puddle of grease at the bottom of the tray, which ended up making the bun and the fries underneath soggy and a bit unappealing by the time we got to them. On the plus side, service was fast - our order was ready within 5 minutes, making this a convenient stop when you're short on time. Don't think I would come back here though, given the presentation.

We wanted a quick meal after getting back late from the beach and were craving a burger. We stumbled upon Bonzai Burger and decided to check it out. I ordered the Waimea Burger. It was a decent burger overall. The patty was fairly large and had a good sear on it. However, I felt something was missing, as the burger relied heavily on the sauce to provide most of the flavor. One thing I wish they had done better was the prep. The buns were somewhat soggy by the time we received the food. The bottom bun was already sitting in a puddle of grease, likely from the burger or the fries, which made it unappetizing. The fries themselves were crispy and flavorful at first, but they had the same issue. The grease pooled at the bottom, making the lower layer of fries soggy by the time you reached them.

Banzai Burger offered a vegetarian option- portobello burger and it was amazing!!! One wasn't enough for two so my hubby couldn't really split this time. The garlic fries are really good. Service was fast and easy. You order at the counter and you pick up when your name is called. The ambiance is a chill backyard vibe and the table we sat on kept moving awkwardly as some screws were lose or missing. Overall though, great prices, good food and I highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.

We wanted to eat something but kept it light so that we don't feel too tired, we ended up having our 1 burger cut in half and served with fries from each half. Food was great, it also had lots of fries for us. The place had outdoor seating within Waikiki, the cashier knew I was in the military so she asked for ID to confirm and had given me a discount too. (Appreciate that so much). Our food was ready within minutes of the order, we sat directly in front of their counter on where it was served, it was sunset by then so we needed extra light as it got darker. It was loud because of how busy it was in the area but, we were so focused in our meal. This is a nice little stop within the Waikiki area at the first floor where Target was located nearby.

I came into Banzai with expectations thinking if it was gonna be a good place to eat, and, sure enough, they definitely delivered. From the look of it, I surely didn't anticipate it to be a small place to sit down and enjoy the food. However, it wasn't that difficult to find a place to enjoy and eat something over there. So...I ended up ordering the Mushroom and Onion Burger (without cheese), and visually, the presentation was striking. They did a good job with the amount of mushrooms on the burger (while not making it really messy). My one issue was that I couldn't really taste the onions. It was subtle, but not sure if it got lost with the amount of mushrooms on there, but, it wasn't really that much to nitpick on, especially when the flavor delivered. They put just enough of that steakhouse sauce to hold up well for the burger. Despite the price, it was good for what it's worth. I almost came close to wanting the Smokey BBQ burger, but maybe next time, I'll consider trying that out. It's a 9.5/10 for me. A bit more onion would have helped out there.

Tried the Waimea Burger at Banzai Burger and let me tell you--this thing was a tower of delicious chaos. Two patties, bacon, lettuce, pickles, cheese, mayo, ketchup, and mustard all crammed into one glorious bun. I needed two hands, a strategy, and a halftime break to finish it. Totally worth it. The BBQ fries came in hot and crispy, though someone in the kitchen definitely went full pirate mode with the seasoning--*a little salty, matey!* Still tasty, just keep a drink nearby. Service was awesome--fast, friendly, and no judgment for unhinging my jaw to eat that burger. Solid experience all around. Would absolutely burger again.

Great burgers.... I got the Waimea, a double cheeseburger with bacon and it was perfect. Their burgers are on the greasy side, but that's not always a bad thing. Also tried their chicken strips and fries and they're pretty good as well.

Bonzai burger is now my go-to stop for a delicious burger! I've tried other burgers on the island and they serve the best the island has to offer! Christine was awesome! I just ordered takeout from here for the first time and had a great experience. I just ordered the Pipeline burger, bunless. The cashier asked me if I wanted water for my dog and I tried a few of the frozen cocktails that all tasted delicious and give me a reason to go back. This would be a great spot to sit with my dog, I'm always looking for places that we can hang out since there aren't a lot of dog-friendly places in Waikiki. Whenever I come to Waikiki to do a little longboard surfing, I always tank up at Banzai Burger. Food is fantastic, their French Fries are the best on the island, and the staff are funny and helpful. Great food options and burgers if you want good quality, every day burgers. Service is great. The cashier and servers were delightful and helpful with special requests. We had the mushroom burger which was well seasoned, juicy and hot. The onion rings were hot and crispy but the fries tasted like they had been sitting under the warmer too long. Skinny fries already cool off quickly so must be fresh! Would definitely go back but would ask for fresh fries! read more

The burger was amazing I loved it first time eating there. I had the banzai sauce on the side just in case if I didn't like it. I like it with my fries and then put the sauce on the burger. It was amazing. I'm not use the pigeons going crazy and there was a lot in the city so i wanted to enjoy my food and peace and had to worry about the food getting snatched. I can have a burger anywhere, but cannot fathom why anyone would eat in a place, regardless of reviews, where the person behind the counter doesn't even bother to acknowledge someone standing at the register. Walked out. There was literally 1 table sitting down and 1person waiting for their food. Employee thought her side work was more important than waiting on a guest even after I asked if they were open. Best of luck. read more

Service was a bit slow but the food tasted good. However, cooks had no masks on, no aprons on, and bare hands. One of the orders before mine was supposed to be a take out order and they put it in a basket for dine in. When the cashier told them to fix it, one of the cooks grabbed the pile of french fries with hands and put them in a togo box then wiped both hands on his shirt (just like a toddler would do when their hands are dirty). Then grabs the burger with same hands and into the box. He found a french fry on the counter and took it to his mouth. Then he went straight to the grill to cook some more burgers...probably mine. Please don't cook as if you cook at home for yourself. read more

Banzai burger had a very happy and inviting aura. Once we stepped inside, we noticed how colorful everything was and how happy everyone seemed to be. The lady at the cashier was very kind and didn't rush my boyfriend and I at all. They had such a versatile menu, and everything sounded quite delicious to eat! You could get anything from plate lunches, burgers, wings, pasta, and even pizza! The prices were pretty decent for being located in the heart of Waikiki and their portions were quite filling for the price. My boyfriend ordered the Waimea burger (2 beef patties, american cheese, bacon, sautéed onions, diced onions and banzai sauce) and I opted for the banzai loco moco (hamburger steak over rice topped with a fried local egg, gravy, sautéed onions). I have tried many various loco mocos around the island of O'ahu and this Banzai loco moco was ONE OF THE BEST loco mocos i've ever tasted! I recommend getting to try this place if you're ever shopping in the International Marketplace! Banzai Burger is one of many food vendors at the Kūhiō Avenue Food Hall. read more

This place is called Banzai burger but should be called Bomb Ass Chicken Sandwich! Holy smokes, this place has the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. So crispy and moist!! We also had the Waimea burger, which was also amazing, but that Chicken Sando blew it out of the water. Ask for more pickles on it. Soooo good. Cashier was so sweet too. read more

They do not take reservations, it's first come first serve. You wait in line, the staff will allow you to go in to order when it's your turn. The staff allows a few people in at a time. Once you're inside, there is another line where you order -- on the left, you order for dine in, and on the right, you order for to go orders. We waited outside for 35 minutes. And once inside, we waited for 10 minutes. After you place your order for dine in, the staff gives you a number placard. You can choose any seating that's available inside or outside. Seating is open seating. Fountain drinks are self serve; sauces are self serve as well. A server will bring your meal to you. Our meal was brought out to us within 10 minutes of ordering. Our meal was incredible; very delicious and fulfilling -- it does live up to its hype. The prices are actually very affordable and fairly priced. I would recommend Paia Fish Market Waikīkī but keep in mind that there's always a line and wait time. I feel that it's not very organized but the staff is very kind and the food was delicious.

I walked in just as they were transitioning to lunch and Christine suggested the sliders and even asked the chef AJ if I could add egg to them (i really wanted some egg). The sliders are made on toasted Hawaiian rolls and the folded egg was perfect. It also came with their delicious fries.
