We had a great meal here! We didn't stay for the club part, but we had heard the food was great so we made a dinner res. They don't open until 7pm. I was surprised to see how many families were eating at the same time as us. The sushi was super fresh and tasty. Also, they have this sweet and spicy edamame which was amazing Probably some of my favorite edamame I've had in a long time, I could have eaten a pound of It. The ambiance is very cool and exactly what I would describe as a "Miami feel". FYI for anyone eating in Miami, restaurants here charge a service fee. Typically this fee is added gratuity that is split amongst the waitstaff. But be sure to check your check prior to adding tip to figure out how much to add since the service fee is basically an automatic tip on the bill. We had a great dinner here. We aren't much of partiers so we skipped out on that part. If you are in Miami I recommend going if you want a nice dinner while in Miami. read more

We came here for a bachelorette party and had such a great time! The food was fantastic and the service was impeccable. Huge shout out to our server, Gerarldo! Gerarldo brought out our bride a special dessert and shots, knowing it was a special celebration. We didn't even ask him to do this which was what was so sweet. The atmosphere here is fantastic. The outdoor patio is very cozy with live plants lining the walls and string lights. We got here right at 7PM on a Saturday (which is when they open). They limited our table time to 2 hours since it gets super busy but that was fine with us. The cocktails are fun and the sushi is great! Everything is very expensive (to be expected) but it was worth it for the experience and ambiance! There were 4 of us and we started with the shishito peppers and edamame - both were unique and tasty. We also split 4 rolls and the truffle mac and cheese (must try!). Highly recommend this place for a special occasion. Book ahead of time and be prepared to spend some $$$$. read more

So I would have easily given this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the absolutely horrible service!! Our waiter basically ignored us the whole night and we were left waiting 45 minutes to order our next course. I had to flag down hostesses and bus boys to try and get some service and still had to wait forever. Even after he came through and kept apologizing, he once again had us waiting forever to order our last course. This completely killed our vibe. The restaurant is so hype, fun, and lively. I was excited to have some time to dance and enjoy the party but unfortunately the whole night was wasted waiting around for food and the bill at our table and left us in a bad mood. The food was incredible however. The calamari was the best I've ever had. We ordered a delicious tempura shrimp roll. We also got wok fried wagyu beef with rice and a poached egg that was super delicious. And the creme brûlée was just WOW. Presentation and taste were in point. It's a shame I couldn't give 5 stars due to the service. Maybe they should hire some more employees to not piss off customers. The girls at the table next to us even got fed up and just left after waiting forever to order. We were the last ones left in our section too waiting on service. We couldn't even deduct money from his tip because 20 percent is automatically added to the bill. He did not even offer to comp anything on the meal for us even after expressing our displeasure to him multiple times. There was a large group near us that got all the attention from the staff probably due to spending a lot of money. Looovveee this place! I was here few times before but when my friends came out of town to visit on memorial weekend I took them here and we had the best night ever. We got great table, service was attentive and amazing , food was out of the world and the best part is the dancing :) you can eat , seat , drink , dance ... just wish they were opened until bit later that night. We ordered the octopus, which by far was the best appetizers on the menu. The duo tartar was below average, no taste. My sister ordered the wasabi chimichurri skirt steak. Which was not a chimichurri sauce . It was actually a picodegallo in oil sauce. So strange. My order was was incorrect but when it was corrected the sea bass was sweet and a bit unpalatable. Bâoli is a must if you are in Miami. When you make a reservation try to make sure they seat you outside. The food is ok the fries and sliders were my favorite and for dessert the fondant. Our reservation was at 10 and by 11 we ordered dessert and were ready to leave all of a sudden the whole place changed character and the bar went up in flames amazing show, hats down for the DJ and the workers, the ambiance is amazing. I will not go in too much details so I won't spoil the experience. All I can say is Baoli has a split personality, first is restaurant with good food and the second is a club with amazing ambiance. Good news is that service like this seems to be coming to an end in Miami, bad news is that there are a handful, or maybe slightly more that still exist. This place was The Place To Be, back in the day. When the new owners (Riviera Dining Group) took over, the service definitely went down. Apparently one of the old partners is still on board, but management overall is pretty horrible. We were here for the first time in a long time, a few months ago, because a friend and his wife insisted on trying out "a spot from back in the day." The food is mediocre, the service, or at least our server, was great (his name was Fahd), and as a favor to him we left a good review, and frankly gave him a very generous tip on top of the mandatory 20% or whatever it is they charge, but more of an "A for effort" situation, than us being blown away by the food, or an old dusty, musky storage unit, turned into a "lounge". That said, we flew into Miami last second, as we do quite a bit, wanted to have dinner with some music, vibe etc, and they were one of the few places that had openings (now we know why), so we booked and figured, one meal, not a big deal. My sister and her husband were flying in for over 15 hours, to meet with us, and there were 10 minutes late. The extremely rude hostess, Sofia, refused to let us sit down, even though I explained to her that we're aware of the "2 hour rule" and happy to meet any minimum spend-requirement (within reason, maybe $1k - $1.5k, considering we spent that last time we were there). She spoke to another hostess who literally came out to us and said the same exact thing. I asked her if I can please speak to the manager. She brought out the general manager, Nadine Fayad, who based on her approach and demeanor, may be a bit confused about her position, and social standing, considering said position to be the culmination of her career. Her approach was to tell me all about the restaurant business, and basically how ignorant I am for even asking, even though again, her 2 concerns about the 2 hour time limit and the minimum amount spent was repeatedly addressed; her repeated response was that she is the queen of Miami and if I would like the honor or dining in this musky storage faculty, I will do as she says :) Silly, to say the least. We obviously walked out, made one phone call and had the best table at Bagatelle, within 10 minutes. As a business owner myself, I wanted to let someone in their corporate office know, that one of the managers has taken on a chief of chiefs role and talking down to clients. Spoke to Rob Blassi, at a recommendation of a friend from Miami. He's the Chief People Officer (whatever that means) and unfortunately he also simply repeated one-liners about restaurant policy, how all clients are treated equal, money doesn't matter etc. Even though at the restaurant level, Nadine repeated over and over again, concerns about people sitting down and drinking water etc. Long story short, very poorly managed and run establishment, mediocre food, upper higher end prices, in what looks to be a storage cellar for the building it sits under - no windows, low ceilings etc. Crammed, musky feel... Again, good service and a smile go a long way, but you def. don't get that either. Do yourself a favor and try a different establishment. Plenty that are 10 times better than this place, in every aspect including food, drinks, atmosphere, vibe, music, and def. not least, service. read more

If you want to go to an overpriced well decorated place with the cookie cutter south beach atmosphere, this is it. Not going to lie, food was delicious but read this closely. Anything you get off the menu, you can hold all of it in one hand. I got salmon tacos and it was very very good and perfectly seasoned, but $23 for 3 tacos that are half the size of a normal one? The business is definitely taking way too much advantage over their customers. The place is well decorated and there's music ranging from pop, reggaeton, hip hop, edm, etc. Very beautifully decorated inside as they have an outdoor patio set up where ppl can dance, order drinks, dance on tables and couches. They give out these spark things occasionally throughout the night. After about 11pm is when it really turns into a club atmosphere. Our waiter disappeared randomly and began dancing on the bars which I thought was amusing. He came back and apologized for the wait and gave us complimentary shots. Very nice!! Overall, I had a fun one but only because of my girls. Otherwise, not a big fan of the general crowd. While my girls and I are dancing and enjoying the night, the majority of the crowd is just standing around and taking photos for the IG. It's not the business's fault I guess on this part. This was my second time back at BÂOLI. I previously came here before COVID in Oct. of 2019. That time, the experience was SO MUCH FUN. We dined outdoors, they lit the bar on fire, and the entire dining experience turned into a really chic open air dance club with string lights. I was so so so looking forward to doing this again, only to learn that BÂOLI completely changed. First, I believe it's under new management (I used to get the Mr. Hospitality emails and those stopped in Dec. '22). Second, the restaurant was mysteriously and unexplainably closed for several months from January until mid-March or so. I searched for answers and found NOTHING online, so I crossed my fingers returning for my friend's bachelorette party 3/31/23. Upon entering, we learned they moved the DJ from the open air outside into the inside, and they sat us inside (even tho I requested outside when I made the reservation months ago). In fairness to the host, she offered to seat us outside if we waited 20 min. We just accepted the indoor table. The dynamic of the restaurant totally changed by moving the DJ, the dancing and the dining experience to the indoors. What used to be an ethereal starry-night experience with sparklers has now turned into a basic indoor restaurant with another DJ, just like everywhere else. There was no bar that got lit on fire, no sparklers. No wow factor. There is still outdoor dining, but now it's just that- outdoor dining without the flip of the mood around 11pm. There used to be a shift of energy in the room when you could feel the night switch from dining to the urge to dance as the music got louder, the lights dimmed, and the place became electric. I was so disappointed this time to not experience that. Staff told us that two hotels got built on either side of the restaurant, so the music had to get moved to indoors. I truly feel like they need to rebrand so as to disassociate from former expectations. Heartbroken that this place is now just a memory. read more

Legitimately the most HORRIFYING experience I have EVER had in my entire life. Came here to celebrate two of my friends' birthdays with a group of 10 girls. We made a reservation for 10:15 but when we arrived, our table wasn't ready. Totally understandable, it's a Friday night and they are busy. So we hung out for a bit but then noticed another group of girls come in after us and are seated immediately at a great table outside. Hmm weird. We go to ask about our table and are totally disregarded by ALL staff members. Finally at 10:45 we are seated at a less than ideal table next to the bathrooms and ask to speak to the manager about the rocky start to the night. We were hoping for just a little hospitality, maybe a comped round of drinks or some appetizers. Instead we were instantly met with yelling and aggression from the manager, Loic Paz, who in NO way had any customer service skills. He then DEMANDED we show him all of our IDs (we are a group of mid-twenties women) in the hopes that he would catch one of us underage so he could deny us service. We had already been there for some time and had our IDs checked by security at the door. At such a "high-end" establishment I could not believe how unprofessional and absurd this was. We asked him for his name and business card multiple times which he repeatedly refused to give us. He did not offer any type of compensation or even an apology. Despite my better judgement, we stayed and decided to try and enjoy the atmosphere. Later in the night when I was tired of dancing, a friend and I came inside to sit at an empty table. There were some scattered items so we just sat at the end to rest our feet. Moments later a female patron of the restaurant came up to us screaming for us to show her our purses and phones, accusing us of stealing her phone. The manager, staff, and security just watched as she yelled in our faces, moments after we had simply taken a seat. Finally she decided to actually check her purse where, you guessed it, she found her phone! We complained to staff about the absurdity of this event to which they shrugged their shoulders and escorted MY FRIEND AND I out of the restaurant (not the screaming, accusatory woman). We thought the horror was over at that point when we left but we were wrong! Our friend paid the bill and the server came up to another girl in our party demanding she pay because the first payment "did not go through". My friend that paid had her receipt but was also forced to show her bank statement to the manager to avoid being forced to pay twice. All in all the worst experience imaginable. PLEASE I implore you to avoid this place like the plague, I can guarantee that you'll find better customer service and a less overpriced menu literally anywhere else. read more
