I never realized how much I had become addicted to this place until I realized I know every single worker there. It's is an amazing desert or just a great snack. From the first taste I knew that this place will get my money from years to come. The owner and staff are really friendly and the amount of choices they provide is out of this world. The top 3 flavors in my opinion are strawberry, peach and cookie&cream. They also have another location downtown which comes in really clutch when you are getting off the path. One day while walking to my local bike shop for to get my bike fixed in hopes of starting a new fitness journey, I walked past Baonanas. It wasn't long before it clicked in my head that they were selling my favorite dessert that I remembered my determination to lose this quarantine 15. Disappointed and shedding a tear, I walked out of Baonanas with two pints of the best banana pudding money can buy and vague memories of my pre quarantine body. Since then, I've managed to keep my unhealthy obsession with Baonanas various pudding flavors in check and still lose weight. It's not the banana pudding I grew up on, and that's what makes it special. Of course the OG is my favorite, especially with cheesecake bites, but the Nutella walnut is deliciousness all on its own. And whoever decided to fill waffle cones with banana pudding, you deserve the world. The best part is they let you try the flavors before you buy and that process during COVID is very well thought out for the safety of everyone. Tried Baonanas for the first time at Smorgasburg and wow they did not disappoint. I really want to go to the storefront they have in jersey city. I honestly am one of the biggest fans of this place. I recently had a craving after having baonanas one time and was very satisfied. It's the best of both worlds with ice cream and banana pudding. The staff is always extremely friendly and will let you try any flavors you please and answer any questions. The only downsides I can say is they were out of a lot of toppings and drinks the two times I went and for some reason they don't have napkins. read more

It was ok. The place is clean and cute. The servers are nice. They let you sample the flavors which is great. It's just that most of the flavors tasted the same to me. Because the base to all of them seems to be the banana pudding I felt that the banana flavor overshadowed any other flavors so they all tasted like some weird variation of banana to me. Absolutely DEELICIOUS! Banana pudding is a simple recipe that many take different routes to make and BAONANAS found the right track and sent me and my gf to heaven with the OG BAONANA pudding. So good I went back with a friend at a different location 3 days later. Still good! I got the cornbread the second time around and it was amazing, except for some corn or the bread getting stuck in my teeth a little. Still worth it! Highly recommend getting a pint instead of a half pint cause it's just not enough! If you're a BP connoisseur, prepare for super whip and the right amount of banana and pudding ratio.
