My friend was staying at the Pendry so we met at the bar for drinks. Such a stunning hotel and the bar area is no exception. I loved the lounge vibes. I ordered the Pandan, a pandan-flavored gin gimlet and it was refreshing and sweet. The service was decent but depending on where you sit it can be a little off the beaten path and you might not get as much attention as if you were seated at the actual bar. Would definitely recommend checking it out if you're staying at the hotel!

The bartenders are AWESOME. Bar Pendry has been my watering hole since October and I've gotten to know the staff. Wonderful people and the shenanigans are always on pointe! Come for a good drink and stay for the shenanigans. BUT be safe and "gird your loins!"

Bar Pendry is already a beautiful spot in Newport very stylish, lively, and with a menu of bites and cocktails that disappoint. On the weekends, the energy is wild in the best way, full of interesting people and good conversation. But what truly makes this place special for us is one person: Stone. Stone is the kind of bartender you hope to come across but rarely do. He goes above and beyond every single time we visit. Instead of just pouring drinks, he crafts experiences reading our mood, asking what flavors we're into that night, and creating unique cocktails on the spot that are always top notch. It feels personal, thoughtful, and far from the standard "order off the menu" routine. On top of that, he genuinely looks out for us. One night, he even went as far as calling us an Uber to make sure we got home safe something you don't forget. That kind of care is rare, and it's exactly why Bar Pendry has become our go to. The bar itself is gorgeous and worth a visit, but Stone is the reason we'll keep coming back time and time again. Newport, you've got a gem behind the bar here.

We're the regulars at the Pendry bar on Fridays and Saturdays. This place used to be the old fashion island hotel and was renovated and rebranded under the Pendry hotel chain. There are a few restaurants in the hotel but the main Pendry bar is the place everyone 20-40 years of age looking for a standing bar to hangout with friends and socialize are. The bartenders do a good job but the drinks are overpriced comparatively. They used to have DJs at times when they just opened and even a live band but now they only play a house set and leave it be. Ordering a drink from the bar can also be quite a hassle as they dont have enough bartenders mostly. There usually is a looooooooooong line by the door and the security and valet act as if the inside is so crowded and over occupied but that hardly is ever the case and when you get in you see the purpose of such a long line is mainly marketing purposes. The mentioned age range looking for a classy hotel bar come here often but there are times that as a regular I question whether its worth it or not. There are only 3 restrooms for women with NO hanger which is ridiculous for a hotel as even dive bars do. There is a restroom close to the entrance but the same issue persists there. In general these are point yo consider before going there as you might have to commit to a 1-1.5 hour long line anytime after 9-930 on Fridays and Saturdays, but worst on Saturdays:

Bar Pendry is located inside the luxurious Pendry Hotel. We valet our car for $15 as we entered the gorgeous hotel lobby towards the bar lounge. It's an open space lounge with some outdoor seating as well. It's a really classy spot and they even had a live singer, which was a nice touch. All of the cocktails were $25 each, which is definitely on the higher end. I ordered the Te'Kiwi, which was decent. The Shiso leaf that garnished my drink was so sad and limpy --pretty disappointing when you're paying this much for a cocktail. While our waitress was nice and helpful, it took awhile for us to pay our bill towards the end. Unless you're already staying at this hotel, I wouldn't come back here just for this bar.

The bar of the Pendry is a cool hangout spot and they got live music on the weekends at night starting Thursday. The prices are as expected for a five star hotel. Cocktails are well prepared and the bar food is of good quality. They got paid Valet parking. The Valet system works well and is very convenient!

Nice setup with circular bar. A couple of TVs by the bar as well. Drinks are around $25 which is pretty steep. We ordered Oaxacan Water which is a mezcal drink and another drink that was like an old fashioned. Both drinks were good. We went around 5pm on a Saturday and it was pretty chill. I think it gets b

Mixed feelings about this place! The food was decent and the ambiance is beautiful and amazing for people watching, but maybe the service is still finding its legs and working out some kinks? It's also fairly loud, so if you're trying to have conversations, you may find yourselves having to raise your voices to hear each other. Despite the fact that reservations aren't allowed, our group of 4 was asked to leave abruptly while we were still eating, supposedly because a large party was coming in and they needed our table... Our waitress offered us a round of drinks in exchange for leaving, but told us we would not be able to get another table right away (as in we weren't next in line). Luckily, one of our friends asked another person who looked like they were a manager and we got seated promptly at another table so we were able to order more food and finish eating. On our first visit, we ordered: COCKTAIL SHRIMP: decent, not a standout, but it tastes fine. The Baja cocktail sauce was mild. KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN SLIDERS: served with kimchi butter, carrot and radish slaw. This was pretty tasty but also on the mild side in terms of flavor. Our group liked them enough to get a second order, as they come in a set of 3. DUNGENESS CRAB CAKE: tasted fresh, but also not a standout. I tend to like more flavor in all my food, so this dish wasn't super memorable to me. FRIES: crispy and delicious! Fries done right. FRIED MUSHROOMS: very interesting and unique dish - the way the mushrooms were fried made them very delicate and crispy. Would recommend if you're a mushroom fan. SHISO PRETTY COCKTAIL: Vodka, Passion Fruit, Shiso, Lime Cordial. Super tasty and refreshing cocktail. Would order again! GOLDEN HOUR COCKTAIL: Clase Azul Tequila Plata, Mezcal, Pasilla Arbol Syrup Blood Orange, Lime, Mole Bitters. Well balanced but the smokey flavor of Mezcal was still prominent, so I'd only recommend this one if you enjoy Mezcal. Overall not a terrible visit but it definitely had some kinks. I would still go back if friends or family want to go.

We love Bar Pendry! Fun ambiance and it's very social. I've been here a few times and always had a great experience. It can get really packed but I assume it is more around the holidays due to work holiday parties. Coming recently on a Friday around 5, there were still a few bar seats available and tables that are first come, first serve until 10. Chandler helped us and was above and beyond. She was amazing and made us some fun drinks too!

This is the place to be right now. I have been on two different Friday nights and had different experiences, but both were good. The first time I went, it was packed by 8 PM. They have a DJ that really sets the tone. There's good looking people that are there to have fun. There is also great people watching, if you are into that. Their drink prices are expensive but to be expected based on location. The bar is beautiful and there is a back patio, but don't sit too close to there because it smells like smoke. The second time I went, it was much less packed, but still was great for people watching. I ordered a bottle of wine in the second time I went and thought that was a better value. We also got bar seats that second time pretty easily. This is my go to bar for now.

Covered in palm trees and with an exquisite facade, the Pendry hotel offers a space to indulge in the finer things at Newport Beach's Fashion Island. On a weekday afternoon, a friend and I visited Bar Pendry to celebrate my birthday. There is a sophisticated, tropical vibe to Bar Pendry, which is canopied in various layers of greenery. We selected to sit at the bar, and the bartender poured us some fabulous cocktails. To pair with the Shiso Pretty and Passion cocktails we ordered the Tuna Crudo, Pretzel, and Wagyu Sliders. I was not a fan of the pretzel dip, but beyond that everything was delightful. As a surprise, the bartender brought me a beautiful slice of birthday cake, with a piece of chocolate on the side that was etched with the phrase "Happy Birthday." An utterly superb experience at such a luxury venue.

Hamid & Milad were very hospitable, friendly, and made sure we got everything we needed. The wings were super crispy, but juicy on the inside and the fries were solid as well! The mains were great as the chicken was moist and so flavorful that we didn't even need to add any extra sauce to it. They have an indoor and outdoor portion and was a great spot to host an event as they also had a sound system and TVs inside and outside.

It's clearly marinated with care and grilled to juicy perfection. Every bite was moist, aromatic, and beautifully seasoned all the way through. The beef kabob was just as impressive--rich, juicy, and melt-in-your-mouth tender with that perfect char from the grill. You could really taste the quality of the meat and the balance of spices without anything being overpowering. The saffron rice was fluffy and aromatic. It also comes with a mixed salad. Not the usual balsamic dressing but a creamy herb infused dressing coating every leaf. Together, these kabobs were a knockout: bold flavors, perfect texture, and cooked exactly right. If you're looking for kabobs that are juicy, flavorful, and truly satisfying, this is the place. I'd come back for these alone. I forgot to mention they are dog friendly on the patio. DJ music on Saturday nights and fire tables with couches.

It's rare to experience this level of attention, hospitality, and genuine warmth. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Domenico, the lead bartender, Lorenzo, and several other members of the staff. It was great getting to know them, chatting for a while, and even getting a brief tour of the venue. On my second visit, I experienced just about the full Red Room experience..the whole shebang you could even say. The dinner was fantastic, the ambiance was spot on, and the live music really hit the mark. I saw Lorenzo, the woman who assists behind the bar and also helps run food, along with a few new faces. This has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Orange County. I can't wait to come back, work my way through the rest of the menu, and say Ciao to these fine professionals once again. SALUTI!
