Located at the very end of the international concourse at O'hare is Bar Siena offering a horse shoe shaped bar and some sit down tables. Like most other airport restaurants, we showed up to a fairly chaotic scene with dirty bar tops and dishes scattered around. Luckily, a "high-energy" local Chicagoan showed up and got the bar and kitchen back in line with orders. With his gregarious and assertive attitude engaged with all patrons at the bar and made sure everyone was being served accordingly. The pizza wouldn't stand a chance on the streets of Chicago, but was hand stretched, and cooked in a pizza oven giving the dough a crunchy and chewy texture that we all desire. The caprese salad was decent and the meatballs looked pretty good, but remember we are talking about airport food here. If it wasn't for the service, this would easily be a 2-3 star review for food.

Bar Siena as an exceptional fine Italian dining restaurant in the new newly finished 4 year / $1.1 billion expansion project of terminal 5, and is certainly a culinary gem from at Chicago O'Hare. It's popularity was first engaged when our table for two was about a 45 minute wait, but given that we had some time before our flight it certainly was worth the it. On top of the restaurant being full until we wrapped up our meal a little after 6:00 p.m., there was a steady flow of people at the takeouts window as well. Once seated Michael was our server, and bar none one of the more personable waiters we had in our whole weekend trip to Chicago. Being electronic music lovers it was awesome to hear the sublime playlist that was playing in the establishment, and then asking Michael he said that it's about the same 12 tracks on repeat Each of the 4 TVs in the dining area was airing a different channel, and with the Olympics in full swing it was nice being able to catch a couple of the different preliminaries during our visits. The menu had so many amazing items on there that we had to try our own little tour of Italy, starting off with the meatballs combined with drinks, my wife and I sharing the espresso martini while she has the No 15 and my go-to favorite beer: a Blue Moon. Served with a delicious marinara sauce and bread, the meatball was devoted quickly, and with the amazing flavors we were already won over in our claims of probably one of our favorite Italian spots ever - and it didn't stop there! We had ordered the chopped salad and the wild mushroom pizza to share and before we could get through the end of our meatball we knew we're going to have to get the pizza to go. The chopped salad had tiny little pieces of cucumber & cheese, bread crumbs, and a litany of meats, tomatoes and delicious dressing. One of the highlights of our table location was being so close to the kitchen and seeing the line cooks preparing and then one of the top chefs putting the finishing touches before the plates were delivered to their tables. As expected the savory pizza and the heavenly aroma of garlic only made it past one slice, so the rest of it came with us as we departed, in hopes that the entire plane doesn't try to steal a piece Price wise it certainly had the cost of a fine Italian restaurant, but at the end of our visit our raving after finishing each item was worth the cost!

It's pretty quiet over on this end of O'Hare. I just stopped in and a had a beer as I was waiting for my flight. Not a bad experience at all.

I had an amazing meal at this restaurant in the airport prior to my flight and HIGHLY recommend. Usually, I go to the lounge for a quick snack, but I wanted a hearty meal and this did not disappoint. I chose the Shrimp Spaghetti and it was a great size meal, very tasty and super fresh. This definitely makes me want to try out their bigger locations in the city as this was a phenomenal experience.

Adrianne made the best pizza! Loved it Best flavor. Cooked right to perfection. Would definitely come back for more.

Clearly we're not in Wisconsin anymore, but seriously- ANY pizza should have more cheese than this! Expensive. Bland. Disgusting.

Don't bother. They run out of most menu items and close the kitchen earlier than told or stated on their page.

The restaurant is not busy at all. We were seated right away. Our server was nice and attentive. We ordered pizza and pasta. Pepperoni and Whipped Ricotta Pizza - cooked perfectly, fresh ingredients and delicious! Served hot! Short Rib Pappardelle - to die for! This is very tasty, the pasta is cooked al dente. The short rib sauce is ssosooo delicious! We sat by the bar overlooking the open kitchen. It was nice to see the chef make the pizza and make the pasta. Further area is more fine dining with wall of wine. Very classy! Street parking only. So plan ahead.

Normally I hate those kinds of large group dinners, but this was the perfect spot for it. The service was absolutely wonderful. I don't know how our server stayed so cool and calm with a group that size. We got a variety of things. EVERYTHING was amazing. If you have seen any of my other reviews, I always get a meatball when I'm at a place that has them. They almost never live up to my expectation. But this place has the new gold standard for a meatball. It was everything you want. It is fork tender, full of flavor, no chewy ground up bits. The pizzas were authentic and thin. With fabulous house made red sauce that wasn't too thick and overwhelming. The flavor was A+ The cocktails were so good! All made from scratch with love. The ambiance was cozy and comfortable. Perfect for a group or a date. They have a full bar, and also great seating with perfect lighting. This is a new favorite for me in the city.

The reservation we got was for the patio, but when we arrived, they didn't have a table for us. We waited probably an extra 15 mins and then the lady was able to arrange an inside table for us. She had been getting a bit of lip from folks coming in just before us, and so she definitely seemed to be dishing out some lip herself. I think that should have been a better experience. I will acknowledge that we did appreciate a table inside eventually when the one just outside wasn't there. Our server once seated was like, amazing. To me she made up for the passive aggressive comments from before. She was so patient and well-spoken and all. Seemed like she was from a Michelin-star place. So to start, the Caesar salad was ok. What was nice in there, it had these crispy chips of some kind in the salad. Overall, the dressing could've been a bit more caesar-y. Then we also had these truffle oil mozzarella sticks and those were pretty amazing. Served with marinara sauce, which was pretty good. But the sticks themselves were like so cheesy and gooey and freshly made, it was great. Then for the mains, we had a vodka pasta and one other one. Both were vegetarian pasta options, which is great. Both had really nice flavored sauces and the pastas were also done right. I forgot to ask for crushed red pepper as some spice boost would've made things even better. Also, one of the pastas was a gluten free - and it was really good - in the sense that I never would've guessed that it was gf. It's a corn-based pasta, in case anyone wants to know. I really wish they had an eggplant parm, but unfortunately they had only chicken and veal parms, only. Lastly, and to top everything else off, we had a soft-serve almond-caramel (not the exact name) gelato. Wow, that was SO good. Nutty flavor and creamy rich. Probably the best course of the night. Just outstanding. I chose it based on ChatGPT recommendation and it was just spot ON. Definitely a place I'll come back to.

The octopus surprised me because octopus can be hit or miss for me, but they did it really well! The table bread was also pretty good and cheesy. The Caesar was just fine. Nothing special but not bad (which is good coming from me since I'm not usually big on kale). Of course all of the pastas were yummy. The fusilloni was definitely my favorite from the noodle shape to the sausage and cheese. The ricotta dumplings were suuuuuper cheesy which I really liked (though I could see why others wouldn't) and had a melt in your mouth softness. The rigatoni was tasty, but kinda just tasted like a normal red sauce so would probably try something more interesting next time. We really enjoyed the chicken parm, too. Not as good as the pastas, but definitely tasty and the basil was a good touch. We finished with the guava cheesecake sundae. I really liked the little bits of cake, but the ice cream itself was a little lacking for me. Still a nice sweet treat to finish the meal!! We had the perfect amount of food overall for 4 people!
