The burger was one of the best I have had. The service was quick and correct. We highly recommend it during a day of bourbon tours.

Came here with my family and spent nearly $40. Ask for 3 waters yet the girl operating the register charged me $2.75 for a drink and handed 1 cup. When I brought it to her attention she NO said you orded a bottled water, and we do not give free water. First, if I order bottled water then why did she give me a cup??? The owner came over, Elliot Hurst, and instead of refunding my money for the drink he refunds my full order and asks me to leave. I was SHOCKED!! Second, why would I only order 1 drink for 3 orders when it's close to 90 degrees outside ? I asked why he was issuing a refund he said because he does not serve difficult people. I was treated like DIRT and as if I was a freeloader trying to get something for nothing when I paid for 3 burgers, 1 fry and 2 onion rings. THIS PLACEC IS A JOKE!! Stopped in for a quick bite to eat while traveling on a Monday. There was very few places open around town. We got lucky and found this little gem. The burgers were fresh and great quality. I had the Spicy Burger and a side of onion rings and they were great. The young lady was working the counter was nice and handling the crowd with ease. Stopped by Bardstown Burger on my walk through town and it really hit the spot. I got the Spicy burger, fries and a cookies and cream milkshake. Spicy burger - jalapeños, bacon, spicy mayo, pepper jack and I added grilled onions. Had a good kick, but not too spicy. Fries were served in a well presented mini fryer and added to the quaint appeal of Bardstown Burger. To wash it all down I got a cookies and cream milkshake in a nice mason jar with whipped cream! Another nature oriented trip, today to a local jewel - Bernheim Forest. We took in the Giant features trail. A great walk on a really nice morning. We headed in town to try Bardstown Burger, a short 15 minutes from Bernheim. Bardstown Burger is a tight place in the front with a few tables. Looked to be additional spaces in the shotgunnish space they have. There was no line and our order was put in quickly. Wait was about 7-8 minutes. Self-serve drinks and a ketchup and mustard pump was a available. We drew a few cups of ketchup for the carry-out. Our orders came in the standard styro container, although one order was short a fry. This error discovered after we got to the park to eat. Our order was three single patty burgers; one with cheddar, one with swiss, the other plain. Two were to have fries with them and the third, onion rings. A vanilla shake was also ordered. The burgers seemed to be fresh pattied. The bun was above average. Really not a bad burger, cooked as needed. Adorned with its respective adornments a good lunch. Single patty burgers tip the price scale just under $6. The fries and onion rings could use some jazzification. Onion rings were definitely mass-produced flash frozen cookie cutter variety onion ring. Same can be said for the fries. Crinkle-cut, well cooked but some seem to have leftover dark residue from previous oil use. If staying with the frozen nature of the rings and fries maybe step up the seasoning with some added flavor, like dill, garlic and/or onion powder. Why not some kind of bourbon additive as we are in that neck of the woods? On the whole, like the location, what was done with the location and the burger, but a little step up would go a long way. There are a ton of places serving a burger and fries. Is Bardstown Burger memorable? Not as much as it can be. Lots of potential here. The location is old town cool. The location is bourbon country. Really like to see folks in a food business succeed especially in the nutty times of a pandemic. Hopefully Bardstown Burger can make the cut. This will certainly be a place we try again. read more

Burgers are pretty good. A little on the small side but that's probably good for us all. They don't have a lot of seating though which was a problem to day for lunch on a Saturday. All they have for kids are chicken nuggets and fries but no milk or other appropriate kids drinks. read more
