I don't know how I can be disappointed, but find it tasty at the same time, but it happened. First time here: There's no waiting area for togo. I get the Bardstown burger and get home and the amount of bacon is the equivalent to Wendy's. I would suggest double bacon if you want the equivalent to 1 piece. The burger flavor was also strangely reminiscent of a fast food patty. I don't think the onion rings are homemade either. Met a friend here for lunch and was looking forward to it, since I love a good hamburger. I also looked at the reviews and they had a fairly decent review. The decor was cute, place was clean, friendly staff but the food was a disappointment. We both got the Bardstown Burger and it had grilled onions and mushrooms, mayo, and cheddar, both burgers had missing bacon. I forgot that it was suppose to have bacon until my friend asked me if I tasted the bacon and I said, "What bacon?" When I turned around and looked at the description it was supposed to have bacon. The cheese would have been better if it was melted instead of a slice cheese on top of the burger. The fries is the crinkled fries and was cold. I know we were there at 2 but cold fries, that is No Bueno. Considering their was not a lot of choices on the menu and I was expecting a great food. For what we paid for our meal I would recommend Wendy's down the road. read more

I had major cabin fever, so on a whim, I decided to drive to Bardstown. It was only my second visit to this charming town. I found this place on YELP & as per usual, I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived about 10 minutes after they closed but Elliot was very gracious and said he would put my order in. I ordered a cheeseburger with swiss and it was YUMMY! It was made with good quality meat, seasoned & cooked to perfection, the toppings were fresh and the bun was was soft & delicious. I love finding a good burger at a reasonable price! First let me say this. I should have ordered the burger instead of the chicken sandwich! Here's my complaint. The cooks were not wearing masks! Also they were allowing people to come in the restaurant even though there is a mandate to wear masks posted on the front door! Seating on the inside was not placed to keep 6' distance. I had a bad experience the first time I was here but the owner got in touch with me after leaving a review and offered to make it right. I gave them a few months to learn the ropes (they had just opened when I had my bad experience the first time) and decided to take the owner up on his offer to replace my meal and tried it again. I was very impressed and so was the two others I dined with. The fries were thick and fluffy and seasoned perfectly. Burger was just how I ordered it and hot and delicious. It had a great flavor. We all 3 had the Bardstown Burger meal with cup of cheese for the fries. The only thing that was a little off-putting was the fact that we all smelled severely of hamburger grease when we left. The smell lingers on your clothes very heavily for the rest of the day. (I've never experienced this at any other restaurant, some even smaller facilities than Bardstown Burger) So they might need a little extra ventilation or something. I can't leave there and go to meetings smelling like a burger lol. have since ordered 2 to-go orders as well and both times they have been hot and delicious and made to order. We very much enjoy Bardstown Burger now. We would order from there weekly if it wasn't so expensive. My husband says he doesn't mind paying the more expensive prices but that he doesn't feel like the portion sizes are big enough to justify paying nearly $30 for 2 meals (he leaves feeling a little hungry every time). Overall we enjoy it and will be back, but not as often as we would like. read more

I had a wonderful experience, the patty was a special tri-blend mix. I got the spicy burger and it was delicious. The food cane out quickly and was right for my entire group of ten. The only thing I would say keeps this from five stars is that the outside seating doesn't have umbrellas over the chairs and tables, so it was wet, making the inside a little crowded. I would love to see the spicy Mayo as a sauce to have with fries, even if it were eticost a little extra. read more
