The wax they use here is a special wax for sensitive skin so after a few times, it doesn't hurt as badly as the first time. I highly recommend coming here. I found this place as it was right around the corner from my house, very convenient. First few appointments were good Cindy is awesome, very personable. They give you $10 off your next appointment if you book your next service at the same time. Sounds reasonable and also reminds me I am due for a wax. Here is where my problem with them started, as I was trying to schedule my next appointment and had a trip scheduled so I wanted to push my next wax until after the trip. The receptionist then expressed to me their policy was you only get $10 off the service if its within the 4 weeks. Of course, I asked why because that doesn't make sense. She said it was the system not her. So I am sorry that's funny not its not a computer glitch it's a company policy. Let's just call a spade a spade. I finish my transaction and the receptionist was so polite to throw my debit card on the counter back at me. Never ever ever acceptable!!!! Living in Orange County doesn't make our break us, but also makes no sense to not just show some loyalty to customers. I arrived at reception and a friendly girl came out check me in so when she told me she would also be doing the waxing I was happy to hear it. My usual waxer had left so I was hoping to find someone of the same standard. Katelyn did a great job by providing a painless Brazilian. She has attention to detail, was quick (but not rushing) and personable. I came home to find that there was not the usually few hairs that needed to be tweezed out, as she did a thorough job. This business is no longer family friendly. After over a year or loyal service, I was suddenly unable to be in the room with my daughter during service. She is a minor and i have a right and need to be present. They insisted it was policy. What are they trying to hide that I cannot be present?! Then, Rachael did not test the material as my daughter was slightly burned her lower leg because of your waxer .After voicing concerns regarding the service, they demanded I return to European Wax Center for future treatments.The operations manager was extremely rude and I will never return! I also heard Brittany and Rachael gossips about their customers!! Stay away! I made the decision not to come not you. Your waxer was telling me to help my daughter by holding her legs because she didn't know how to do it:))) Your waxer even thanked me! My daughter wanted to get a Brazilian, and stop lying about it. After over a year of service, you're just covering yourself because your waxer burned my daughter's leg. And your waxer mentioned she has 9 years old client! Put you company policy on front desk before you trying to protect your service. I have proof of her injury. Check the footage from the cameras you have in the rooms....unless these were placed by someone else! After burned my daughter's leg I made the decision not to continue with your service not You! You are advertising doing hard waxing but I saw Brittany using paper wax and left marks on my daughter's leg. When I told her not to use she didn't like it! That's why You guys decide not to be in the room with my daughter. So you guys can do whatever you want when she is alone! I didn't let this happen! I've gone to Pia & Merielle here and they are both great! They are professional and quick! Both ladies kept the conversation going throughout my brazilian which took my mind off the slight pain of the procedure. That being said, they are so good that it really doesn't hurt that much, just a tad uncomfortable! They also don't try and push any product on you which is great! This was my first time visiting here. I usually go to European Wax Center and usually get threaded. Came here as my cousins recommendation and totally love it! Their prices are fairly priced, and cheaper then most places and the service is quick, easy, and good! I have super sensitive skin so finding a place has been difficult for me. Everyone here is super nice and they accommodate you according to what your schedule is. I would try all of their locations, since they are located all throughout OC. Ive been to the Costa Mesa and Mission Viejo locations, the Costa Mesa location being my main one, but stopped going a little more than a year ago because I got lazy to drive. Lol. But then I found out that they opened an Irvine location and it's only about 12 mins away from me. Much more convenient! I've had wonderful experiences from the other locations but Merielle gave me the best experience at the Irvine location. She was so friendly. Since I haven't gone in so long, I was worried it would hurt a lot, but we chatted the whole time and it made my waxing experience painless. Since this was my first time going, I had 50% off as a new client and I decided to get a Brazilian wax. I've never had one before so I can't compare my experience with another place, but for my first time it seemed incredibly fast! Only took 30 mins. I had Mandi and she was really nice and talkative! This was my first time at OC Wax to get a Brazilian wax. I am (was) loyal to my aesthetician until I came here. Cindy was so cool, friendly and thorough. She was easy to talk to and professional. The location was easy to get to. I read the other reviews about being hard To find. Maybe google maps has updated since? Because I got here with no problem. To be honest, there isn't much in the plaza because it's still fairly new. So I wouldn't have known of the place if my coworker didn't tell me about them. But there's plenty of parking and it looks like there will be a food court opening up soon? The place looks very updated and modern. Everything they use is pretty high end with great decor. Since it was my first time there, I had to fill out a new client profile on their tablet. Took like 5 mins. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. When I got into the room, Cindy offered me a small towelette to freshen up and a disposable napkin to cover myself up. We talked the whole way. Best thing to do if you're nervous and don't know what to expect. They use hard wax so it's virtually painless. I mean I've had it done before but seriously, this was a piece of cake! I even stopped her mid-wax to ask if she's even taking anything off. I seriously didn't feel anything! Sure enough, she's going to town! Lol when she was almost done, I asked if she had time to do my lips. She was able to accommodate and did it in 5 mins. All said and done, I was in and out in 30 mins. She did a great job cleaning me up with the stubborn baby hairs. They offer 50% off your first service. So I got it off the Brazilian since it cost more. They also gave me a serum and an Exfoliating glove with after care instructions. If you book ahead of time, you get $10 off your next visit (I think you have to book for the same calendar day in a different month though?) My co-worker referred me because you get $20 off your next service if you refer someone. Well she deserved it because I will definitely be back! Brazilian waxes can be awkward and painful, but if you go to Lauren - they are as good as they get. She has such a great vibe, she puts you at ease. She walks you through the process as she's doing with a calming voice which makes it's seems so much more comfortable. I'm closer to Irvine - but since she's in Costa Mesa Sat's ... I have had numerous other waxers before, but she is in a league of her own. She is professional, knowledgeable and, most importantly, kind.
