Yesterday was my first time at Bareburger. And the first bite I took, I was in love. I got the classic burger with beef. I think it's great that they give you a choice of protein you can choose from, or they recommend you a protein with the burger. They also allow you to build your own burger!! I didn't want to risk destroying the taste of my burger so I went with their classic one and it was delicious. We went around 12:30 and the place was nearly empty. Service is good. Blood orange frozen margarita is my absolute go to. It's so delicious. My boyfriend and I really enjoy the fries and rings appetizer. Very tasty. One time we were there and he ordered a black bean patty which was terrible and soggy and mushy. Not a pleasant thing for a vegan. The waiter told us all of the veggy patties would be soggy but that's not the case in other restaurants so idk what that's about. I order the chicken sandwich which is good but I find the chicken pieces to be too thick for enjoyment. It overpowers the buns. Other than that though, I enjoy this place and what it represents. I've ordered other things here in the past and I leave satisfied. Therefor, they get my 4 stars. read more

Bareburger now has a 50% vegan menu and it is nothing short of incredible. I went with friends who eat meat and they said they couldn't tell the beyond hot dog was not real meat. The Penn Station dog, the nacho fries and the impossible burger were all so tasty, one of the best vegetarian/vegan meals I've had! read more

I've never been to a Bareburger, and loved it last night for dinner. The place itself is awesome - really cool decor, tin ceiling, and wood working. I could have done without the Cartoon Network on tv tho. I had the Roadhouse burger and bf had the habanero. Best food: We had bison, which was amazing. It tastes like the best, most grass fed beef ever. Amazing - I could have had it without any toppings! Gluten free bun - Compliments to the chef, or whatever bakery they get the bun from, because it was the best gf bun I've ever had! It was soft and spongy, just like normal bread, and this made the whole experience that much better. Left to be desired: Fried pickle spears - I'm sure they tasted great, but I couldn't tell because of how badly I burnt my mouth and fingers (from having to try and grab the boiling pickle out of my mouth when I couldn't bite through the pickle skin). I'd prefer fried pickle chips, but they only do those with butter pickles and I prefer dill. read more

The onion rings are a MUST. I left full couldn't complain. The server was extremely helpful and courteous. Very clean establishment. Food came out quick. The Blood orange margarita was nice but on the smaller side in portion. Enjoyed my experience overall would return. The fries are good. Great food.... the ostrich burger was cooked well as requested and tasted delicious. The chocolate dessert was amazing but huge.. good for 2 people to share for sure. Superb service ( our waitress I forget her name was great) The atomsphere is very relaxing and extremely welcoming and comfortable. Place is very well maintained.. I like that even the restroom was kept clean and tidy . Finding parking was just a little tough but was worth it That being said .. Awesome vegan burgers they use beyond meat, impossible, or a bean base. They also gluten free options and vegan desserts and vegan shakes. The burgers are under $15 and I am always happy with the fresh ingredients. I Bareburger!!! read more

First time having a beyond burger and Matt our waiter didn't lie it DID have that burger smell which tricked my mind into thinking it was a burger. Add some onion rings and fries with a 20 oz beer and BAM your taste buds are gonna thank you for it. We got there around 5:30 on a Saturday and by the time we were finished the place was starting to fill. They don't take reservations so go early and/or have patience. My wife and I just ordered from here and we were incredibly disappointed. The burgers were over cooked and hard as a rock. We both ordered medium by the way. I ordered mine with Bleu cheese but instead of real Bleu cheese, they gave me some watered down version of Bleu cheese dressing that tasted so disgusting it practically made me gag. This restaurant is amazing in every way. Their staff is friendly, the food is not only healthy but delicious, the decor inside and warm and fun, and to top it all off they have a full sized bar inside with reasonably priced drinks! My favorite is the Cali fresh salad with the quinoa veggie patty added on top. My friend ordered the Hudson salad which was also 5 star worthy and I've also had the guapo choppo with added lemon chicken. Two of us just had the most tasteless, oily, overcooked Bare burgers ever. The carmelized onions were soggy and soft with no hint of carmelization. Tasteless and dry burger bun. Usually great burgers but tonight Burger King can teach them a lesson. read more

I go here for breakfast every week without fail. I always get the hungry cub or on occassion the hungry bear. It comes with eggs, sausage, whole grain toast, fruit, a waffle( hungry bear) and the sweet-potato wedges and choice of juice, coffee or a mimosa. The breakfast is always great. The sweet potato wedges take a bit getting used to but they're very good once you're into them. Service is always great and the atmosphere is very relaxed. They always play cartoons, I'll assume to draw families. The cartoons are pretty trippy at times. Ha! On occasion I'll get there burgers too. I stick to the california with beef. Great flavor to the burger. The only thing I don't like from bareburger are their fries. They have always been as limpy as a pre-viagra patient. Aside from the food I love this bareburger because the servers are amazing, (I've had my share of poor servers ) they are knowledgeable about the menu and able to make suggestions ! the food comes out in a timely fashion, and is always hot and delicious . All the ingredients fresh and flavorful. I had the "Fire Quacker" burger . Originally it comes with duck but I switched that out for a black bean patty. It was spicy to perfection . I decided to try a spread, that was the pineapple relish! Went perfect with the burger. I enjoyed a mix of sweet potato and regular fries which I shared , it came with curry ketchup and special sauce (got my dip on) . This place has a selection of cocktails, beers and wind. I went here for the first time yesterday and I was impressed by everything the service and food was great. I ordered the chicken sandwich and my boyfriend ordered a burger. They were both so good we had to finish the whole thing. Their sauces are so unique and taste great. Burger was juicy even well done. It was the best meat I've had from somewhere in a while . I definitely will be going back there. Our waiter was Charlie. He has great customer service. He chatted us up about the great food we should try next time and explained everything we needed to know about the menu. He needs a raise lol cause he was a really great waiter. This location may be my favorite Bareburger out of the 5 I've been to in NYC. The space is large and looks just like all the others but there was a calmer chill vibe. It gave off a neighborhood local favorite vibe than a busy chain restaurant. Our waiter was very polite and friendly as was the hostess when we had to wait for no more than 10 minutes on a weekend night. I built my own burger and this was probably the best burger I've had at BB over the years. The beef was cooked perfectly to my liking and was juicy and had a nice grilled taste to it. At first I thought the amount of manchego was skimpy but the flavor was great - strong and stood out even when I added ketchup which can sometimes overwhelm. I also added the "wild" mushrooms which is just basically sauteed mushrooms but they tasted good too. I recently moved to Forest Hills and when I asked locals to recommend a place to eat, they all suggested "Bareburger" they said the atmosphere and food was great so with that said I had to go and try it for my self. Here are my bareburger commends: From the moment my wife and I entered the restaurant we felt the vibe, it felt great just to be in there. The staff was very accommodating and attentive, food was delivered very quickly and tasted delicious , their menu was simple and very easy to even create your own burger. They also had a vegan selection which it worked out since my wife is a vegan I'm definitely coming back every Friday! By the way our server Madeleine was the best! Don't go here! You can get a better burger at McDonalds! This Barefurger USED to be great, especially the Lamb Burger, but they removed it from the menu. Each time I've gone here the menu has become more convoluted than ever. You can get elk and ostrich, but not a juicy lamb burger. The burgers are now completely dried out and tasteless. They now slice the burger down the middle so there is no such thing as a juicy bare burger. Don't go here - it's a horrible experience. read more
