Barney's in Westwood Village is a constant in the scene of ever changing restaurants and bars. The location is great, easily accessible, and directly across from the Broxton parking lot. The decor is typical of Barneys (so you may like it or not...). When it comes to their core, they are a sports bar and at that they do well. Bi-level with a multitude of televisions playing all sorts of popular high stakes games to even the lesser viewed competitions. Bar food is pretty typical, nothing that I can overall rave about. Consistently okay food at reasonable prices. It's a bar first and foremost, so as far as bar food goes, it's pretty good! But bring your own Sirracha, there's none here. Huevos rancheros and waffles are a solid at breakfast, in fact breakfast and the bottomless mimosas in the weekend for $13 are the best bet. We normally love Barney's. I've frequented the Downtown Burbank and Santa Monica locations. So we decided to come here after we didn't make it into a premier screening at the Regency and HO BOY. Party of 7. Walked into the bar, no hostess available. We had to go out of our way to ask about seating. They threw us up onto the second floor seating, at a makeshift table they placed over the Foosball table. Initially they were fast about our drink orders. In an HOUR AND A HALF, we were served one round of drinks and two appetizers. One of the appetizers was given to us on accident, we didn't order it. Thank God they made that error though because we were starving. The food came slowly, crawling out to us at 1hr 45mins. They did not give us any silverware. I personally didn't get my food until the 2hr mark, after I told several servers that my food hadn't come. The girl who brought our food spilled half of my cider onto my friend. Drenched her shoe and sock, and they just put a hand towel on the floor to soak the spill. She brought another cider to replace the spilled one but the damage was done. They did not put up a wet floor sign or mop the area. Just left a stack of paper napkins and the hand towel on the floor. After 30mins another server came and kicked it under a neighboring empty table. The food was pretty good, and the manager was very apologetic. He was the most attentive one in the whole place. So one star for him. But otherwise DEFINITELY not returning to this location. read more

So I've been to ALL the Barney's and I was so disappointed in this one :( The set up was actually impressive to me; I really liked the space this barney's has to offer compared to the others. The reason why I was disappointed was because 1) THEY DON"T SELL PITCHERS!! and 2) they close at 1 am vs. 2am like all the others....I can guess the reason why this Barney's is different is the fact that it's super close to a campus and they don't want to be liable for idiots abusing the location. Still, it just doesn't have the same Barney's feel that I get whenever I'm at one of the other ones. Plus, why am I going to pay $6 a glass of beer when I can easily get more bang for my buck with a $13-$15 pitcher?? ughh Our waitress was pretty nice and we got our drinks and food in a timely manner. So I like Barney's Beanery... at other locations. Barney's is the typical sports bar with the menu as thick as Jerry's Deli. It is by far the most unhealthy restaurant. There is nothing special about the food but they do have some things different to the usual hot dog, burger, and etc. And their beer list is enormous. The Westwood location opened about a year ago and since then they've had issue with their service. They brought food before we ordered, then after we ordered, they bring the wrong order. After we paid, they continue to bring us food. Probably not a bad thing if you have the stomach for it. The last time we went, they would not release a reserved table where the party was let over 30 minutes. Also they would not ask people to change tables after they paid when there was a party of over 10 waiting to order food and drinks. This location has the most TV's. If you're looking to watch any game, there is sure to be a TV showing it. Parking is next door, across the street or on the street. First come first serve. read more

Arrived here on a Saturday for lunch, not too busy, mostly people watching the game. There are two stories, plenty of seating, the bathroom is in the basement, yes I said the basement. I ended up getting the Avocado Melt, it is on a rye bread, comes with a side, fries, sweet potato fries etc. The melt lacked a bit of flavor overall. Our server was nice, however he didn't write anything down and forgot a couple of things. He ended up getting my friends order wrong. However, he didn't end up charging her for her order. I have yet to come here during the evenings and as we all know this place definitely changes once the sun goes down! The Chili Cheese Fries (I chose Texas Style) were okay to me but I have never really liked chilli. Multiple people said it looked good and someone else ordered it after seeing mine, so it's probably good for chilli fans and I should stop trying to order chilli and calling it only "okay". Is it good, or is it good for Westwood? Unclear! Pros: Like the other Barney's, the fryer works. And its not trying to be something other than a slightly cooler version of Applebee's. If you're into sports, they have like 85 TVs. If you're into beer, you can get a decent beer for a decent price or a bad beer for a decent price. They have drink and appetizer specials that are slightly concerning for public health professionals ($7 Long Islands on Thursdsays, half off apps on the purple section of the huge menu during Happy Hour.) Cons: All the cons you'd expect from a Westwood bar -- it tends to be loud and crowded and full of eager youngins! Parking sucks. This is probably a pro for their target audience(s). I'm sure it takes a thick skin to be a successful server here so don't expect caring or particularly attentive service. Also, its basically a cooler version of Applebee's. Pro tip: Check your glass for lipstick before you drink your beers-- they'll replace the beer and maybe not charge you for it if you find some. Will I be back? Probably. Will I enjoy it? Probably. I visited Barneys for lunch during a work day which is quite different than my usual night time visit. It was a lovely day and the patio is a perfect place to enjoy your food and people watch. I ordered the California Cobb salad and it was absolutely delicious. They were not skimpy with any of the ingredients...although I could have used more lettuce... who says that, right? haha. As a table we ordered a few appetizers including the fried pickle slices, jalapeno poppers that are filled with mac and cheese and the loaded nachos. All were decent. Out of all the choices for Happy Hour in the Westwood Village, it amazes me that my co-workers want to go this place.
