I was looking for a quick and easy salad for dinner, so I decided to order from Barry's. I can't stress how fantastic my experience was, even for such a simple take out order. The online ordering process was a breeze. Even better, it was an extremely organized process pulling up for curbside pick up. One of Barry's staff members came right up to my window to get my information and grabbed my food. It was fast, safe and clean. I got the Cobb salad with grilled chicken. Unlike many restaurants on the island, Barry's actually gives you a respectable amount of greens, with a normal sized piece of chicken (chopped, which was also great!). Given COVID and all other things, Barry's is doing a fantastic job. Bravo! read more

This place is so good. We ate there for dinner twice and got ice cream 4-5 times. Large menu with lots to offer. No one had a bad meal. Highly recommend the blackened seared tuna tacos and any of the cheesesteaks. The ice cream is Arctic brand and is some of the best. Barry's is always crowded, and with good reason - the food is delicious! Plenty of options on the menu, but I typically have their turkey hoagie or cheesesteak, both of which are yummy and something I look forward to every year when I visit LBI! LOVE Barry's Do Me A Flavor!!!! It us our usual stop for dinner, icecream and all things yummy. The staff are amazing. One of the children spilled water today and Valarie, our waitress was so sweet and kind, both to me and my son. She cleaned it up, and reassured my son that it was no big deal, happened all the time. This level of customer care and kindness is sometimes hard to find, but everyone in Barry's is awesome. Barry is always quick with a hello, pat on the shoulder and 'how are you?' Came here to get an ice cream sandwich aka a Pamwich on the recommendation of my brother-in-law. Disappointment set in when we found out that they make them ahead of time and did not have any with chocolate ice cream. Boo! No offer to make one either. I'm hesitant to leave a review because I love this place and would prefer to keep it a secret. While we love The Chicken or the Egg as well, I'm not sure why people will wait an hour to eat there when the food is just as good (if not better) at Barrys and there is usually no wait at all just around the corner from the CHEGG. I really have never ordered anything there I did not like. But if you are a fan of fish tacos, then there is no debating what you should order. They are the best. My family and I usually split an ice cream sundae for dessert. In looking at some of the less flattering reviews, I think you need to set expectations. This is a small, inexpensive quick service restaurant. Of course the service is not going to be 5 star as there are a bunch of teenagers working there. But I've always found them to be hard working and eager to please. And I have never had an issue with the cleanliness and I have been there well over 50 times in the last 20 years. read more

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We went on Friday night around 6:30. The beauty about this place is that you can either dine in or call ahead, pick it up, and take it home or to the beach. They have indoor and outdoor seating, although it does get pretty noisy and crowded inside. If you call in, they're pretty spot on about telling you when you're food is ready. We called in at 7 and our food was ready at 7:45: the dinner rush. I had the delicious mahi mahi fish tacos, pretty good; healthy. My friend had the teriyaki chicken cheese steak which was AMAZING, but salty so get a drink with that one. My other friend had beer battered fish and chips and said that was amazing as well. Don't forget they have dessert too! Ice cream which is served at a different counter so you don't have to stand in the dinner line if you're just looking to get dessert. read more

This was my first time at Barry's and I will definitely be going back soon. Although they were busy they were courteous and attentive. Miles stopped by the table several times to see if we needed anything and to ask how we were doing. After we finished our meals of some delicious salads (Cobb & Garden) as well as burgers and chicken fingers for the kids we headed to the ice cream counter. There Miles & Tessa were very patient and took the time to help my son who has a peanut/tree nut allergy find a sweet treat that was safe for him to eat.
