Something. I also have a hard time believing this was prime grade. Zero juice on the plate, I've never had a steak so "dry" and for $50 you would think it comes with at least a salad. My husband ordered the wagyu ribeye and I ordered the small filet. Our sides were the mixed mushrooms and the scalloped potatoes. Everything was incredible. The steaks were tender and full of flavor. This is a business casual restaurant, not sure if there was an actual dress code, I came in jeans and a long sleeve shirt and no one said anything to me. We started off with this big chunks of bacon, looking at it on the menu, you really don't think much of it and it's 7 dollars a strip. However, this was some of the best bacon I had ever had. It was so good, packed full of flavor and not greasy at all. I also got the wagu New York strip, by far the most tender and juicy steak I have ever had. Not worth $13 in my opinion, glad I used the yelp check in offer for $10 off. The onion straws served with my steak were good. I asked for a medium rare filet mignon but was served medium. Bascom's is absolutely delicious! We stopped in for a date night on a Friday night. There is plenty of parking and it's very easy to get to as it's right off Ulmerton Road. We were immediately greeted by a kind hostess who sat us at an upstairs table that was right by the acoustic performer. He was excellent and his volume was perfect so that was a plus! We started with the calamari which had a nice kick to it! I loved the dipping sauce. I went with the Queen prime rib which was on special for a great price and it came with a baked potato and salad. It was cooked perfectly and had so much flavor! Just the perfect amount of salt! My boyfriend got the rosemary crusted lamb chops. He LOVED them. He ate them clean off the bone. The presentation was not great and I don't feel like Chillian seabass should ever be presented in any liquid of any form. In addition, I had two pieces of cartilage in my lobster. I honestly almost swallowed one, which is very detrimental in my dining experience. When the manager asked how our dining experience was, I said it was great. I also mentioned the cartilage, and nothing was done or even acknowledged; that just doesn't sit great with me. We visited on Saturday around 9 and dined at the bar. Jennifer was a wonderful server and she presented several nightly specials and answered my questions thoroughly. I tried a top shelf cabernet, wish I remembered the winery, and it was exactly what I wanted to pair with my steak. I tried oysters for the appetizer served with all the accompaniments except tabasco. The oysters were not my preferred flavor because I'm spoiled with NE seafood. However the presentation was exceptional, oysters shucked well and definitely fresh. My entree was superb filet with smoked gouda mac n cheese with sherry peppercorn cream sauce. I was hesitant to order the sauce but Jessica assured me it was light cream and crazy flavor. Note worthy the bar crowd is very sociable. We arrived for our annual Christmas Eve dinner and there was a complication. We had requested our favorite waiter (for the last 13 years), Craig. Unfortunately, he was working upstairs for all the large banquet parties. We were offered a less than wonderful table in front of the kitchen door and the table was about 2' in diameter. When we let Craig know, the management went into action and got an unused full sized table for us to sit at and it was moved to a great location. It turned into perfect Christmas Eve dinner! We started our meal with the Crab Martini. It was excellent. For entrèes, we ordered the Prime Rib, King's Cut and the King Crab legs. The crab legs aren't on the menu for an entrèe but they do still have them available. The Prime Rib was perfectly rare and a huge portion. The crab legs were moist and also a huge portion. For dessert, we can't resist their New York Cheesecake with pecan crust. I also had a nice glass of Tawny Port to finish off the meal. It was a wonderful dining experience. They brought out the steak, then 10 mins later the lobster, then 20 mins realized we ordered vegetable sides with the meal. It was a parade of food all at the wrong times.
