My go to bbq spot in Burbank! BBQ is on the weekends and it's great. The food: my go to orders are: the tri tip sandwich, brisket, ribs, and spicy coleslaw. Everything here is really good and since it's been smoked all day, it comes out pretty quickly. The meat comes out very soft and tender. And their sauces are great too--my favorite is their house sauce (over the spicy one). Dining area: intimate outdoor seating with plenty of bench seating and heaters. This place is going to be great to dinners in the summer too when the sun is out late. Service: 5 stars. They're great! read more

I was excited to try out a new place to support small business and this place had good reviews. Well I went and purchased a couple coffee and was extremely disappointed by the quality of the coffee. Super watered down Americano and the cold brew was awful I asked for syrup in my cold brew and I had to add at home because they didn't even give me any syrup. The pastries were the only upside. First time at Basecamp Dinette on January 22, 2024. Ordered, breakfast and 2 lattes. I went to get a table while my girlfriend waited for our coffees (as directed). She came out with the two coffees and as we were getting ready to sit the Birista came out and asked if our name was Anna. We replied no, he said you took someone elses coffee. We apologized, he was less than happy and said now I have to make them over. We sat down, my friend shared that she was told by a staff member that those were ours. I had already taken a drink when he informed us of the mistake, I went back in to let him know that we would just keep the drinks that we had taken and not to make our order. I then told him about my friend being told that the drinks were ours and the Brista proceeded to tell me that he was there the entire time and that he told her that the drinks were not hers and she took them any way. I then said maybe she didn't hear you, and regardless it was a mistake and he was being rude. I walked back to my table. He then comes by our table and says to my friend, I wasn't upset and I thought he was appoligizing but then he says believe me if I was being rude you would know it......and started to walk away. I pointed out that the very statement was rude and unnecessary. Rather disappointing experience. The food was great and all other staff that we came into contact with were great. Please do better, it was just a mistake, sorry you had to make the drinks again and my going back to you was to save you the time in making our order. read more

Sunday lunchtime with the pup. We met a friend, and the amount of dogs and waiting for tables is a lot. The food is delicious, though it's very stressful to figure out logistics when you order your food. You need to sit on the right to wait for people to leave, and then people seem to hover once you're ready to go to get your table. There are a lot of families with dogs. Some are well-behaved, some not. If you go with friends and want to wait with no hurry, then this is the place. Recommend not taking big group and or pup or you'll wait a bit longer. read more

Update: *** I do not recommend the avocado toast. Though the portion size was large, the bread choice was bad because it was a fluffy cream that got soggy very quickly. The over medium egg was runny and I asked they make another and it was the same. It kind of grossed me out so I prob won't be getting eggs there again. Original Review: Very cute brunch spot/ cafe. The coffee was great but was not hot which is important for me. Next time i'll bring my Klean Kanteen which keeps coffee as hot as it's served. For brunch, I had the protein, low-fat bowl and it was fresh and healthy. It was very bland though, so I had to douse it in hot sauce. My friend has the breakfast burrito which looked delicious (it was $9 - a little steep for what it was). We also shared a chocolate chip cookie which was magical! Where do i start,this is an update on my last review of Basecamp and now Scouts Honor. We moved to Rancho February of 2022 and found Bascecamp and fell in love with the place and food but there was something missing until recently and that something was Amanda and Mathew the new owners. Talk about doing a 180 the food has always been amazing but now with the BBQ on the weekends it's turned out little Rancho neighborhood into a community and not to mention the staff some old some new and all are super cool. We have met so many incredible people from far and near and there's nothing like getting people to talk when your chowing down on mouth watering pulled pork. The only problem i have is 5 stars isn't enough we need to crank it up to 11. Thanks for completing our neighborhood. read more

There's a small lot to park in the front, but come early because when it gets closer to 9am work rush, the line can be a tad long. There's a pretty extensive latte menu with interesting and unconventional flavors... even a MCT latte which I wasn't brave enough to try. What a really cool spot to get breakfast or lunch! A couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine who lives nearby the restaurant suggested meeting there for breakfast. I hadn't been in the area for decades so I had no idea what to expect but I was very pleasantly surprised when I got there. The restaurant has a very relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. Even though it is on the main street of Riverside Drive, the traffic passing through is quite light plus the restaurant is set back about fifty feet away from the road so you hardly notice any cars that do pass by. I had the omelette and it was delicious and very filling. Just a note, each weekday has a daily special which is basically an offering from the regular menu but discounted. I may give those a try the next time around. Although I'm not a coffee drinker, my friend's wife is, and she loves the coffee they serve. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you haven't already and even though outdoor dining has been put on pause for now, I think this place is worth getting a meal and coffee to go vs going to a corporate owned and operated place like Starbucks et al. read more

Fantastic unique space! I met up with a friend on Sunday with our two dogs. It's a super dog friendly place. I appreciated that there was a beautiful display case of their pastries and plenty of menus for folks in line. The wait was fairly short around 11am but it seemed to build up as it went into the afternoon. The cashier was super friendly and gave her recommendations. I ended up ordering a vegetable quiche with Turkey sausage as a side and an iced lavender latte. Since we had our pups, we did have to wait a bit for an outdoor table to clear out but it wasn't an issue at all. The picnic tables were perfect for our pups to chill under. The food came out quickly and it was amazing! The vegetable quiche was delicious and huge, and it paired really nicely with the Turkey sausage. I wish I did order the side salad in addition to get more greens, but overall I was very full & satisfied. I thought the lavender latte was really well done. Perhaps a tad too much milk but overall I thought it balanced fairly well between the lavender & espresso. My friend ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich with hash browns and it was gigantic. Another plus is the eco friendly straws. There is a free parking lot and street parking is also easy. read more

Visited Basecamp for the first time today and I am pleasantly surprised! The food was really great. Both the crispy chicken wrap and chicken sandwich were light and flavorful. We would have liked more chicken in each dish, but nonetheless it was yummy. Also the fries, I haven't had a cut like this before and I've been missing out. It was so good! Thin and crispy. I knock off a star for the coffee. It's not very good, the syrups taste a little artificial. So they could use working on the coffee. But that's no deal breaker, I'll be back for more food! read more

Nice coffee place with good options for food. I had the espresso served with a side of soda water. We also decided to come here for lunch and study a bit. I think the popular item here would be the buffalo salad, but I wasn't in the mood for something like that. Ended up getting the bbq chicken salad instead. The espresso was really fruity/acidic, kinda surprised me, but I liked it. The salad was also pretty good too, 7/10. Lots of stuff in it, including beans, corn and avocado. Pretty filling. read more

Thick and dark but better flavor for sure. 2 slices of bacon were served raw & sticky. Food arrived while speaking with cashier regarding coffee. Raw bacon server banged into my chair a third time and into my back unapologetically and most likely unaware of her self, or manners and courtesies. Unfortunate to have such an unconscious staff. They huddled over the discussion of coffees and then bacon instead of just correcting right away. Cozy outdoorsy vibe. The inside is vibrant with colors, while the outdoors feels surrounded by nature. Both great. We started with a Pumpkin Spice Latte, Horchata Latte, a Dutch Baby, and a Cronut. The coffee was really good. A great way to warm up our bellies on a cold morning. The pastries were delicious, especially the Cronut, and quelled our hunger until the Breakfast Burrito, and the Breakfast Croissant Sandwich arrived, both accompanied by hashbrowns. They were short, impatient, and snappy to questions. Get ready to be met with eyerolls and scoffs. The drip coffee was 5/10. Good enough. Breakfast burrito - 5/10 - Fine, I guess. The components were there but nothing had flavor. Hash browns - 3/10 - tasted like boiled, flavorless potatoes. Chicken Sausage - 4/10 - This is a personal taste issue. Now that it is post covid, it is time to update this review. I have in fact been back once since the last review. It is very close to where I live and has the perfect decor for a camper like me. I met my grandmother her for brunch one day. It is dog friendly and TONS of outdoors seating. We had a nice meal and they even let us stay to play games at our table and catch up.
