Based on first impressions, I can see the look they were going for. All the decorations and chairs are very sophisticated; almost like something you'd see in the roaring 20's. The cashier was very moody. I had to greet HER so she'd take my order. I thanked her after getting my change and she ignored me. I came here with my 5 year old son and there wasn't really anything on the menu for him so I asked for an egg. I ordered the eggs Benedict with the salmon and salad and a coffee. All were very delicious and savory. The walls are super dirty and I had clean and sanitize my own table because it was so dirty that egg yolk was literally crusted on and I used sanitizer and baby wipes to scrape it off. Light and fluffy doesn't even begin to describe the soufflé pancakes. I wish I had more when I was done. The texture is just crazy good and weird, like a fluffy .. egg? I don't know, you just need to try it. We had the earl grey pancakes with boba, and that sauce with the slightly chewy boba was all just ridiculously awesome. On to the eggs benedict. Again, amazing. My friend and I came here on a Friday morning to study and do some online classes, and it was the perfect study place! There's free wifi you can use. We got the fruit soufflé pancake and ube waffle which were both incredible! I also got a caramel latte as well. The ambiance was amazing too. I loved the cute decor. The best part of our experience was the customer service! The girl working at the front today as a barista was so incredibly kind and sweet. Her attentiveness made me feel so welcomed as a customer. Parking is located in the structure since the restaurant is located at The Source (on the 1st floor). Went here on my birthday. In this plaza, all/most of the shops require masks and unfortunately, I forgot my mask as Knott's do not require them and we went straight to the park from there. We were lucky that one of the employees gave us a disposable mask. The place looks like a fancy book store theme and had a good settings. Came here on Sunday Nov 21 2021. I was thinking of trying to make souffle pancakes at home so I had to try some since I've never had them before, just to get a baseline idea. I ordered the banana caramel souffle pancakes. I tried each component separately first and noticed the banana was slightly on the less ripe side giving more of a bite. The whipped cream was also the slightest bit lumpy/heavy. The pancake itself had a good light texture which reminded me of the Japanese souffle cheesecake. Compared to the evenness of Japanese cheesecake, the pancake wasn't too evenly flavored as there was parts that tasted more eggy than others. Overall I wasn't too fond of the flavor of the souffle pancake itself, but I think it was probably done well for what it is. I generally don't like pancakes that much and I think I would prefer regular pancakes over this. Contrast this to Japanese cheesecake, which I enjoy but not much so for regular cheesecake. The other components as a whole were fine. My friend wanted the fruit souffle (typically with strawberry and banana) but he was informed that there was an issue with the shipment and they were plating it with grapes instead of strawberries at the time. Kind of weird combo if you ask me and he ended up just getting a plain souffle. Other notes about the place is you order at the counter and they give you a number and bring it to your table when you're ready. And you bus your own plates after you're finished. Overall the aesthetic is nice and the workers were courteous. Personally I wouldn't want to order souffle pancakes again but I wouldn't mind trying one of the eggs benedicts if a friend wanted to come here. I'd say it took about 18-20 minutes when my order was ready. They're very generous with the cream on top. The pancake itself is not sweet but it's light and fluffy like a cloud. They were good for my first try but I'll admit they got a bit too sweet for my liking toward the end. (I got about 3/4 before I called it quits.) After walking inside, I went up to the counter to place my order. I ordered the plain souffle pancakes ($13) and a 1001 night milk tea- iced ($5). So I spent $19.40 with tax. I was then given a mini device that beeps when your order is ready, like at restaurants. It actually didn't take long for my order to be ready (maybe 6-7 minutes instead of the 20+ I saw some other reviews complaining about). The souffle pancakes were light and fluffy and absolutely amazing! They come with powdered sugar on top and whipped topping on the side, and I added some honey on the side to add even more sugary goodness. The souffle pancakes were definitely worth every penny. My milk tea on the other hand was not. The 1001 night milk tea is a fruity milk tea, and no better than drinks at local boba/bubble tea places that cost less, at least in my opinion. So definitely not worth $5, especially since I only drank maybe half of my glass before giving up. It's not that it was bad, it was just kind of mediocre. It's most likely they used medium blend beans for the drink. It didn't have a bitter aftertaste like corporate coffee shops. Here comes the review for the Soufflé. The presentation of the dish was a bit of a disappointment. It wasn't as fabulous as displayed on Yelp. Whoever made the recipe did not put in the effort at all. It looked like a mushy pancake with melted cream on top. Although the presentation was unforgivable, much was made up with the taste. The first bite reminded me of the first time I tried Krispy Kreme donut, in a sense that it was like biting into a pillowy cloud.
