Now, I can't say the ice cream itself is the best, as some of the flavors taste artificial (Daiquiri Ice is the worst thing ever and for someone who loves Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia, the Cherries Jubilee falls so short)...but I'm bumping this location up to 5 stars because of their Jamoca Almond Fudge mud pie and their incredible ice cream cakes. My all time favorite mint chocolate chip is from baskin Robbin's because of the shredded pieces of chocolate, they're not huge chunks. Pralines and cream was also a popular one, my friends got the flavor of the month-- beach day which had salted caramel and chocolate chunks. You also can't go wrong with chocolate chip cookie dough. They sell ice cream cakes at baskin Robbin's still too and they are pretty pricy like over $50. They also have ice cream pies that are a little more affordable. I prefer the cake cones because it's not as messy towards the end of your ice cream. Service was great, the workers were kind and fast. This shop is located in a shopping plaza so parking is fairly easy and not too busy. I always feel nostalgic going into a Baskin Robbin's. There's several places in Alameda to get ice cream, but I prefer this Baskin Robbins (BR). This is the Baskin-Robbins in the Nobhill Shopping Center on Blanding Ave, near the Fruitvale Bridge. It's also the site of the Keanu Reeves sighting, when he was seen here eating an ice cream cone in 2020. My latest visit was on a Saturday evening, after returning from a roadtrip. They still limit people inside for social distancing, and also there's not much space inside. The lady ahead of me was looking at the ice cream cakes, and I wasn't sure if I should step ahead of her. The friendly order taker waved me over, and I asked for 2 scoops in a cup. Now, that 2 scoop container looked small, so I switched to the Triple Scoop. OMG, three ice cream choices.....I went- Chocolate Mint, Pineapple-Coconut, and Jamoca Coffee. Big 'O scoops! Nice and neat. I'm telling you, the cup looked small in the store! When he handed it to me it looked like a huge tub! Good ice cream. Why only 4-stars? Because it's arkward to wait and pay when the customers ahead of you pay and then don't leave the store. I treated my parents and myself today for three two-scoop sundaes. The gentleman who took our orders was really nice and not only gave us huge scoops of ice cream, but also gave us generous portions for the toppings and was patient with my mom and I when we tried samples. When I asked if they gave military discount, the gentleman who was assisting us asked his coworker and both of them said they didn't know, so I asked if they could ask the manager and the other gentleman went to go ask. A lady rang us up and gave us the military discount. I didn't notice any tables or chairs for people to sit and eat their ice cream, it seems more like a grab-and-go location. Whew, there were only three people in front of me. It is only on the 31st of the month that Baskin Robbins sells a scoop of ice cream for $1.50 plus tax (total: $1.64). I don't even remember when was the last time I stepped into a Baskin Robbins. It has to be more than 10 years ago. In the past, being a baseball nut (A's fan), baseball nut ice cream was my all time favorite. Mmmm...vanilla bean ice cream with chopped cashews and swirled with black raspberry ribbon. Now I cannot eat a lot of ice cream due to health reason. I have to watch my sugar intake. I can only have a scoop of ice cream in moderation (2 sittings). I bought a scoop of strawberry cheesecake ice cream for my husband. He enjoyed it and said it was yummy. I was somewhat surprised that he ate the ice cream with no side effects since he is lactate intolerant. Service was quick and friendly. The flavors are also decent/good. I tried the Cookie Dough, Mint, and Mocha...yes please! You can also customize your cake! Just let them know what you want and they will try their best to match your description. Around the corner, there is also a very nice walk/sit down area right by the water. Nice clean location with good customer service. The ice cream is usually pretty good and the serving size sometimes varies depending on employees. After a grocery run at Nob Hill in a cold evening, my son said he had a crave for ice cream, and there right in front of us was Baskin Robbins, which is in the same shopping center. It's cozy inside and we're greeted warmly. I didn't know what flavor to get. The lady who served me was very nice, she offered me to sample her recommendation, and kept on giving me few more to sample. I ended up getting the pistachio almond and my son got the chocolate chip cookie dough, his all time favorite. While being served, I had a good chat with this lady. The bananas that they used looked pretty old and had bruises on them. It's a pretty small place. Sunday, we had a coupon for buy one get one for 99 cents and so we used it here. I used to take my kids here when they were young and we always have good service. They have different flavors of ice cream, a few choices of sherbet and only one frozen yogurt. They got rid of their soft serve machine which I enjoyed since I am lactose intolerant, I have to eat that or frozen yogurt most of the time unless it is a real unique flavor that I enjoy. read more

Sometimes my bf and I come a couple minutes before closing, and they are always very welcoming and will still help assist us.
