This review is for the service, as we were unable to buy anything because of the extremely rude young girl working in the store on Friday 7/19. Admittedly, we came in five minutes before close but just wanted to buy an ice cream cake from the freezer. The young woman working grabbed the door as we were opening it, kept it from opening, and said they were closed (even though the store was not yet closed per the posted time). I'd been fantasizing for two years about Gold Medal Ribbon, a flavor I hadn't had in five years. I wondered: It still good?? Way back on my first job, I went nose deep on that flavor at least two nights a week. Couldn't remember what all it was, but I had a faint idea. After getting an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins for my dad's birthday, my family has been hooked on ordering ice cream cakes for everyone's birthdays! Reminder: order online or over the phone at least 24 hours in advance! You will get to select the design, cake flavor, ice cream flavor, special message, and color of the message. We've ordered the vanilla cake with OREO Cookies 'n Cream and vanilla cake with Pralines 'n Cream, and both were delicious! The ice cream cakes that feed 6-8 are $35-40. The bigger you go, the more expensive it will be (duh). Individual scoops at the store are a little pricey, so I just go big and get the tubs of ice cream to bring home. 2 quarts of ice cream for $10.99... get on it! read more

I've been coming to this location since I was little and I now bring my son here. Only one thing has changed , I cannot tolerate dairy as I used to (pretty sad, I know) and i was quite disappointed that out of 30 something flavors, they only have ONE dairy free option, ONE! This flavor is Daquri Ice, it's this blight blue color and taste like a weird coconut/fruit flavor with a sorbet-like consistency, it really doesn't taste very good (sad face). My son always gets the chocolate chip cookie dough and is ALWAYS, satisfied. Heven saw a big chunk of cookie dough while the employee was scooping and kindly asked for it. The young man , very willingly , dug out that massive piece of cookie dough. (Brownie points ) I will continue to come here, of course , but I only hope that this company makes more dairy free options available in the future. read more

First of all, I will start off by saying who doesn't love ice cream? There is nothing wrong with the ice cream, however this location is kind of dirty and unkept, for example: the chairs and tables. I wouldn't feel like getting ice cream here unless something gets done about it. I wouldn't come to this location and instead go to another location if given the choice, but this is the closest location to me. The ladies who greeted me were nice though, so next time I come I will give it another chance to improve. read more

As far as Baskin Robbins go this one is decent, they actually give you the full scoop. The one in N Fremont and Newark seem much more stingy. Baskin Robbins is pretty commercial ice cream that is on the sweet side and if you looks at the ingredients list it's usually too long with all kids of chemicals. But I regress as they always lots of flavors to choose from. Still fairly pricey, single scoops $3.49, double $5.89. Double Sunday (with kid scoops; $6.49. Fancier Sundaes are $7.49-$8.49. I usually only go when I have a BOGO coupon or on the 31st when scoops are $1.50/ea. read more

A secret How to guide to get the most out of your baskin robbins experience! (stuff you may already know, stuff you might not) As a general rule if you don't see it on the menu you should always ask about it, someone might still know how to make it, and if they have the ingredients they can do it! Making drinks (blasts) with less ice or more ice // less cappuchino base or more is no problem at all! However, extra ice cream costs extra. The turtle blast has a pump of chocolate syrup and a ladle of caramel. If you don't like the ice cream flavor, opt it out to something else, just mention it before the ice cream is dropped into the blender, or they have to remake the whole thing. Ice cream shakes keep in mind that you CAN ask for it thick, or thin, or blended with the juice/blast blender instead of the shake blender (to smash up those nut pieces). They can still make chocolate blasts, and freezes with the reintroduction of sierra mist. Ice cream cakes are expensive, if you want something cheaper i'd strongly recommend safeway, however the quality is quite different. Keep an eye on your ice cream as they are preparing it. If you noticed an error in the ice cream flavor or toppings or if it wasn't pressed firmly on the cone you can just ask them to help fix the issue before hand. It's really difficult to make an exchange once you've left the store and bring back half eatten ice cream. This store does do Freeze Frame Pictures (edible pictures on cakes) for $12. and as a final thought, if you want and extra of something, expect to be charged for it, unless you've substituted for something else, or if it's quite minor (afterall it is a small business trying to keep prices as low as possible) Overall a divider to show where the line starts and ends would be nice, but it would also hinder the customer's ability to look at all the ice creams. I usually only come into only purchase ice cream cakes for my family's birthdays. However when I came in a few days ago they stasted charging for writing on cakes. He put in a lil too much caramel on our sundae though. They used snickers icecream which seemed to be of higher than average quality but way too much sugar. It was a regular sized cup for $6.89 but it was oddly shaped and too slim, so the price was quite high for the quantity. Also the fudge kinda just sits at the bottom; hard to reach even with a long spoon (re: thin cup). While I love icecream I'm not sure if it's worth $6.89. It's a chain store. What more can I say. Lots. Of course :) I really enjoyed getting my ice cream here! Aside from the prices (which can't be helped), the overall ice cream trip was enjoyable. The two young male servers (who were both kind of cute HAHA) were accommodating and patient as I walked back and forth in front of the display 10 times to pick 4 flavors, 2 for each cone. I ended up selecting the mint chocolate chip with the raspberry cheese Louise, and the peach cobbler with the gold medal ribbon. The cheese Louise was like a cheesecake, which is my favorite dessert mmm. I regretted choosing the mint chocolate chip because it's such an ordinary flavor. Woe are hasty decisions :( The peach cobbler was good as a standalone flavor but didn't mesh well with the creamy gold medal ribbon. I am so glad that no one came to help at Rite Aid, for the price of three cones over there, I was able to get a quality sundae to share with my two younger cousins. They were stoked that they had S'more-flavored ice cream, and I can't even lie, I was helluv excited too! I love S'mores! I'm not positive, but I think the second flavor we got was Gold Medal Ribbon and you know we had do that brownie sundae.
