This is a complaint about the service here which provides the skimpiest amount of everything for the highest prices. The stinginess here seems to be worse than other locations. How can a double scoop sundae only consist of a few bites? Besides that, my small to-go bag was overfilled causing my waffle cup to break before I reached home. Yummy ice cream as to be expected from any Baskin Robbins. The issue with this location is that they are incredibly slow, and oh so rude. We stopped in around 5pm, and they weren't busy, but they were not slow. There was one young lady working, and 2 other people who I am assuming were the owners. They just stood back there and watched while the girl tried her best to help everyone. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that's why she was so rude. I would be too if the people I worked with or for did nothing. Even if you are the owners, I'm guessing you want people to keep coming, do your employees and customers a favor and help out a little. Pre-ordered a polar pie for my husband's birthday. He just loves BR mint chocolate chip ice cream. He used to do the ice cream pies but I guess they don't have that anymore. No worries, he was actually able to customize the toppings so it was fine. The app had a $5 discount which was awesome. Got a confirmation number, everything was fine. I couldn't pick it up but my in laws could. We purposely picked this location since the couple who owned it were so lovely. We wanted to give them our business. Anyway, when they went to pick it up, the woman working said there was no order even with an email confirmation, pre-paid. They *happened* to have a mint chip polar pie so they bought that. Base and toppings were of course not what we wanted but we had to buy something since we were celebrating directly after. The worker was flustered. *New* owner (the lovely couple sold the business about a month ago per the worker) claims no order was sent through. They couldn't even honor the coupon price. Something needs to change since obviously orders aren't going through so beware of ordering online/app. Fortunately my bank immediately refunded it. 2/5 stars because we did end up with something but wasn't correct, more expensive than it was supposed to be and just super disappointed. My wife and I randomly dropped by Basking Robbins after leaving Valley Fair. It was a warm evening so it made sense to grab a quick ice cream on the way home. We were immediately greeted by the staff members there. The staff members were very friendly and patient with us as we chose our individual scoops. They gave us samples since we were curious on a few of the flavors. My wife got chocolate and I got Jamoca Almond Fudge. Both flavors were good, but mine was better. They had a 2 quart of ice cream for $12.99, so I spent some time picking my two ( Oreo Cookies & Cream and Old Fashion Butter Pecan). I realized I was beyond the 48hr window so was looking for a premade cake and could not find what I needed. Came here on a day when it was over 100 degrees outside! I needed to satisfy my coffee shake craving. The workers here were super friendly and helped us in and out very quickly. Although it was hot outside it wasn't very busy and the quality of the shake was soooo good!! Our total was $15 for two medium shakes that were a very big portion. Not sure if they have to cut back on their resources, but we ordered 3 medium milkshakes none of which were filled to the top as one might expect from most other establishments. A good inch off the top was left empty. The volume size differed with each milkshake which certainly does not equal the same value in price. He then tells me that the cone will be 35 cents, because I'm already redeeming a free scoop. This is absurd, as I've always been told cones are complimentary at any other BR locations. For a place that serves one of the best foods in the world (ice cream), it sure left a bad taste in my mouth. It's a smaller location, so it was difficult to maintain the 6ft distance coming in and out. My only suggestion is to allow/direct customers out the side door. The reason I'm knocking off one star is because I'm super disappointed in the dairy free free options. I don't know if each location gets to choose which dairy free options they carry, but the old coffee one they had was amazing. The chocolate chip cookie dough that replaced the coffee one was pretty darn good too. Then I tried the strawberry streusel because the others weren't available and that was ok. I decided to give it another try, only because I was really craving Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Upon arriving, the Asian lady, I'm assuming maybe she's the manager? Well anyways....
