This is a complaint about the service here which provides the skimpiest amount of everything for the highest prices. The stinginess here seems to be worse than other locations. How can a double scoop sundae only consist of a few bites? Besides that, my small to-go bag was overfilled causing my waffle cup to break before I reached home. I love BR shop ice cream but will stop coming altogether until they can improve the customer experience. read more

Yummy ice cream as to be expected from any Baskin Robbins. The issue with this location is that they are incredibly slow, and oh so rude. We stopped in around 5pm, and they weren't busy, but they were not slow. There was one young lady working, and 2 other people who I am assuming were the owners. They just stood back there and watched while the girl tried her best to help everyone. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that's why she was so rude. I would be too if the people I worked with or for did nothing. Even if you are the owners, I'm guessing you want people to keep coming, do your employees and customers a favor and help out a little. My rocky road ice cream was delicious, and totally hit the spot on this super hot day. read more

Pre-ordered a polar pie for my husband's birthday. He just loves BR mint chocolate chip ice cream. He used to do the ice cream pies but I guess they don't have that anymore. No worries, he was actually able to customize the toppings so it was fine. The app had a $5 discount which was awesome. Got a confirmation number, everything was fine. I couldn't pick it up but my in laws could. We purposely picked this location since the couple who owned it were so lovely. We wanted to give them our business. Anyway, when they went to pick it up, the woman working said there was no order even with an email confirmation, pre-paid. They *happened* to have a mint chip polar pie so they bought that. Base and toppings were of course not what we wanted but we had to buy something since we were celebrating directly after. The worker was flustered. *New* owner (the lovely couple sold the business about a month ago per the worker) claims no order was sent through. They couldn't even honor the coupon price. Something needs to change since obviously orders aren't going through so beware of ordering online/app. Fortunately my bank immediately refunded it. 2/5 stars because we did end up with something but wasn't correct, more expensive than it was supposed to be and just super disappointed. Will just go back to the BR location closer to home. read more

Tried chocolates fudge and butter pecan ice cream recently, it was delicious to say the least. Ingredients are clearly marked so you know which one has eggs vs not. It has tons of options and sundaes too. Will be back to try their sundaes someday. Hoping they have a pumpkin flavor ice cream this fall. read more

My wife and I randomly dropped by Basking Robbins after leaving Valley Fair. It was a warm evening so it made sense to grab a quick ice cream on the way home. We were immediately greeted by the staff members there. The staff members were very friendly and patient with us as we chose our individual scoops. They gave us samples since we were curious on a few of the flavors. My wife got chocolate and I got Jamoca Almond Fudge. Both flavors were good, but mine was better. They had a 2 quart of ice cream for $12.99, so I spent some time picking my two ( Oreo Cookies & Cream and Old Fashion Butter Pecan). While I was taking my time, the staff members had a friendly chat with my wife. Overall, wonderful experience. Great service. Friendly staff. read more

About 1.5 years ago, I placed an online order for my daughter's bday and the store completely messed it up. I had to charge off my order with my credit card for services not rendered. The store was more involved with arguments with the owners. Flash forward to today, I placed another online order for my son's bday. I like to give businesses a second chance. They managed to mess this order up too! Ordered a specific type of cake and received a different one (my son hates the Lakers btw). They didn't even bother to write his name on the cake. This is LAZY work. It's obvious the owners did not take any time to review the order; simply looking at the Baskin Robbins templated image of the order online and assuming that is what we wanted. I respect my money and will not provide any support to this business ever again. They can expect another charge off for services/product not rendered....again! This store needs to get it together. read more

It's the day before Father's Day, and I don't really have anything ready. I quickly scrambled to call cake & ice cream shops near me and this was the only Baskin-Robbins that picked up the phone AND had ice cream cakes left. I was told to come in, so I did! Within 5 minutes of being in the store, I got the cake I was hoping for and was even able to get it customized. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I called all the Baskin Robbin's in the area for a cake for my son's birthday the following day. I realized I was beyond the 48hr window so was looking for a premade cake and could not find what I needed. Finally called this location and though the cake I was looking for was not available the owner/baker offered to make me one for same day pick up. I was pleasantly surprised and deeply grateful. It was my son's very first ice cream cake I wanted him to have exactly what he wanted. The owner was kind, understanding and very patient with me while I was selecting the cake. She gave great options to customize the cake. The cake was ready at the time she promised. My son loved the cake! I am definitely only coming to this location for all my ice cream cakes. This place is the worst when it comes to getting served ice cream! The staff that works there acts like the ice cream comes out of their paycheck or something, this is the third time I've tried this location with three different employees serving me each time and they also cut me short on my cut and leave my milk shake to milky. Yeah I get it's a milk shake but the reason it gets "watered" is the correct term is because your cutting me short on my ice cream. Have been going to this Baskin-Robbins since my childhood and it is a family tradition to cool off from the heat with some of their ice cream. Not sure if they have to cut back on their resources, but we ordered 3 medium milkshakes none of which were filled to the top as one might expect from most other establishments. A good inch off the top was left empty. The volume size differed with each milkshake which certainly does not equal the same value in price. When I asked about why there was a discrepancy in volume, the young lady behind the counter pretended she didn't hear me and merely rang us up. Came here on a day when it was over 100 degrees outside! I needed to satisfy my coffee shake craving. The workers here were super friendly and helped us in and out very quickly. Although it was hot outside it wasn't very busy and the quality of the shake was soooo good!! Our total was $15 for two medium shakes that were a very big portion. Parking was also easy at this location. read more

I had to search for the Red Velvet flavored I've cream that I recently got acquainted to and found it here! Yay! This branch always has great customer service. But the other day the guy helping us raised that stake higher. He took my really sorry looking coupon from the blood bank and gave me a pint of my new favorite flavor! I mean the coupon was really all crumpled up and missing a few corners. Hooray for that mister ice cream man! Thanks dude! You rock! read more

I came here excited to redeem my birthday scoop, but left with just a sliver of ice cream and terrible customer service. Given the wide variety of flavors available, I asked to sample the Strawberry Cheesecake and right off the bat, the worker that was helping me already gave me a dissatisfied look. I then went ahead and ordered it in a kids scoop, and was returned with another dissatisfied look. Upon checking out, I showed him the birthday coupon I had and he immediately lets out another dissatisfied sigh, goes back to the fridge, and REMOVES 1/2 of the scoop he had prepared for me. He then tells me that the cone will be 35 cents, because I'm already redeeming a free scoop. This is absurd, as I've always been told cones are complimentary at any other BR locations. For a place that serves one of the best foods in the world (ice cream), it sure left a bad taste in my mouth. For such a happy occasion it was supposed to be (my birthday), it left me feeling pretty upset. If BR corporate is giving out free birthday scoops, all stores should adhere to that without disrespecting customers and leaving them feeling like they stole their ice cream or so. I'm never coming back to this location, or maybe ANY BR for ice cream. Thank u, but next. read more

The woman that works here was accommodating and efficient. She set us up with a DIY sundae kit and was thorough in checking that we received all parts of our order. It's a smaller location, so it was difficult to maintain the 6ft distance coming in and out. My only suggestion is to allow/direct customers out the side door. From the other side of the counter it looks like the side door is off limits. Other than that, I am happy with my ice cream! read more

I love BR but I wouldn't come to this particular Baskin Robbin. Owner here doesn't honor Birthday scoop. I got email to redeem a free scoop and he wants a Bar Code. There is no bar code. Went to another location. Free scoop, big smile and a happy birthday. Told me there is no bar code needed. I really don't think it's that hard. Then I saw the other reviews for this store and you do see a common theme. Not surprised at the low scores read more

If you want to satisfy your sweet tooth these two young ladies are fantastic. They served me quickly and efficiently. The young lady in braids said her name was Sierra and she is very very sweet. The other young girl was named maya and she was very helpful. She told me about all of the ice creams that I had questions about and kept a smile on her face. Hmmm...from what I remember as a kid, Baskin Robbins ice cream was the shit. All I can say about this experience is...WTF happened? The kid that worked behind the counter seemed stoned outta his mind and usually when I get free sample tasters at an ice cream shop I'm super excited about the free yummy tastings, but this time...I wasn't too impressed. Pricing here sucks. You are better off buying ice cream at a grocery store or stick to what you love, for me that'd be Yogurtland or Sweet Retreat in SJ! Never again will you see me at another Baskin-Robbins. read more

I'm a Baskin Robbins fan, and this spot on Forest across from Valley Fair is no exception. It's within walking distance of my house, so my son and I can make the trek and enjoy a scoop together. He's obsessed with ice cream...but what kid isn't, really? The staff changes pretty regularly, but that's kind of expected at this type of place. They're usually very kind and good, though. Prices are reasonable. If I could pick, I'd go to Haagen Dazs every time, but my wallet can't always afford it. read more

I came in because they had a promotion going on on dec. 30th or 31st can't really remember. There was an older Asian couple working there ( think they might be the owners) . The lady was so stingy with the ice cream. She didn't even fill up the scoop all they way the way they do at other Baskin Robins. My mom noticed it and warned me but didn't think much of it, but when I ate my ice cream I literally finished it in like 5 mins and I got a double scoop !! Just look out for that!!! read more

I know it has to do with who you get but I've been a customer for awhile, and I think I am done with this place. This time, the lady that helped me was not friendly and I swear used a kids scooper. Not even 2 squirts of hot fudge but 1/2 a squirt 2 times. I barely could see or taste the hot fudge. The bananas were not cut in small enough pieces, I might as well have gotten a banana split and not a banana royale. Not only all that wasted space in the cup but the price went up! Their are at least 5 other ice cream places in the neighborhood. They better recognize that summer is coming and we ice cream lovers have a choice! read more

This location is remodeled and it looks great. Staff is friendly and they always have lots of options for take-home pints. The reason I'm knocking off one star is because I'm super disappointed in the dairy free free options. I don't know if each location gets to choose which dairy free options they carry, but the old coffee one they had was amazing. The chocolate chip cookie dough that replaced the coffee one was pretty darn good too. Then I tried the strawberry streusel because the others weren't available and that was ok. Now they have a mint chocolate chip dairy free and it tastes like I'm eating toothpaste. It's awful! I get it, most ice cream has dairy. But if you're going to carry a dairy free option why wouldn't it be one that tastes good? read more

I cant believe how out of date this Baskin-Robbins is. The fixtures were so old and beat up. Baskin-Robbins needs to hold their franchise owners to a higher standard. Clearly the owner of this store doesnt care how tacky his little shop looks. One of their coolers was raddling so bad, my son and I were just like "uhhhhh awkward". I felt sorry for the young girl working there who has to listen to that her entire shift. The ice cream was decent. read more

Don't even bother. Review is based on the service I got, not the ice cream. Customer service here sucks!!!!!! Not greeted when you come in, you'll stare at the ice cream for 5-10 minutes without an employee to ask if you need help, or ready to get your ice cream. So first time I came here last week, went to get the pre packed quarts, and got one single scoop of ice cream, the guy working there, looking like he really hated his job, gets me a 1/2 scoop of ice cream........ Not to mention it didn't even fill half of the cup... Put a lid on my ice cream, and it perfectly covered it, cause there was nothing to pack in....And doesn't hand me the ice cream cup and just leaves it on the counter. I paid, and left feeling like I got ripped off. 2nd time today, I told myself was it worth getting ice cream on my lunch break? I decided to give it another try, only because I was really craving Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Upon arriving, the Asian lady, I'm assuming maybe she's the manager? Well anyways.... I'm not asking to pack on ice cream in a cup... But I did ask for 2 scoops of ice cream. At the very end I look into my cup and those sad looking scoops were equivalent to one scoop. Stingy!!!! Not worth coming here, to pay that much for 2 scoops, to only get half of what you asked for is unexceptable. I will come here if I'm desperate for the pre packed quarts other than that, unless you want to get ripped off. I'm going to a different location. read more

I try and avoid this place now.. the ice cream is what you would expect at any Baskin Robbins.. decent ..you know. but the owner (asian lady) OMG she is a bit evil .. she is always angry and yelling at her young employees .. it made me feel bad for them.. once I went with 4 other people we each got a single scoop cone it was packed in there so I told my fam add it to the order when you pay (my ONE scoop!!) they said yeah fine no prob! I wait outside with my (ONE) scoop! I hear the lady yelling at my fam .. shes saying she took (TWO) cones with her " She took (TWO) cones with her..!! wtf she needs to re count .. maybe she's getting old and cant remember how many she served.. but to accuse me of stealing a stupid scoop of ice cream ! .. I will never come back she hates her life it seems! horrible.! PLEASE SELL OR CLOSE UP SHOP YOU MAKE BASKIN ROBBINS LOOK BAD! read more

Considering there's not a lot of tables for patrons to sit, i think the ones they do have should be wiped down more routinely. Overall pretty mediocre for the price. If you're near maybe stop by for some ice cream but in my opinion, not worth a trip out of the way.
