I stopped in here on a Saturday morning after putting my name down at Bloom next door. This place was just as crowded, almost every seat taken. Service was friendly & my cold brew was made in a timely manner. People ended up leaving so we were able to sit and enjoy our coffee while we waited for our reservations next door. I am beyond words with how awesome this Starbucks has become. The Bay Area has no shortage of coffee shops nowadays but many of them have lost the hospitality that this Starbucks has brought back. Every time I think of going to a coffee shop to do some work, this one comes to mind. From walking to each table and asking if they'd like a cup of water, to bringing back the "for-here" cups, to making a minor mistake of not bringing my pastry quickly and then going above and beyond with kindness to fix it. I come in daily, spend a lot here, and just had rude service from a barista when I asked if my order which my app said was ready 5 minutes before was ready, Dirty look and attitude. Due to this experience, I will not be returning to this Starbucks. It's time for me to make another one my regular stop. I did not appreciate how I was treated. This was the middle of the day and not a lot of people in there, they weren't very busy. This is not how you treat customers. I was a regular visitor to this Starbucks on weekday mornings. The people who work there are always crabby and unpleasant. The manager is a grouch. It's like stepping into a coven of witches. Some of the people in the morning shift on the weekend are different and they're nice, but the weekday morning crew can leave you feeling like you're interupting their personal time. No smiles. No sense of humor. They're only interested in talking to each other. Major downer to start the day. It was OK. Got a small, hot coffee. I'm a rewards member so refills are free within same visit. However, the dining room is closed due to The Vid, so I asked what the refill policy is now. This is my favorite Starbucks location I've ever been to. I come here to do work somewhat frequently and I love the seating layout. There's outlets accessible at almost every table, even at the high tops, since they are built in underneath. This spot also closes later than many other Starbucks location and that definitely gets bonus points from me. Workers here have been sweet every time I come. I just had the cutest interaction at this starbucks- so wonderful, in fact, that I'm still sitting in the parking lot writing this review! I've never had a pumpkin spice latte, due to feeling like it was too "girly" to try it, but I decided to go for it today, and walked in and told the cashier I hadn't had one before! One of their coworkers overheard me and made me a tiny cup of whipped cream with a pump of the syrup so I could try it, and recommended I try less than the full amount of syrup in my drink. The male employee (Michael) and female employees who were on duty at 4:20 PM on 10/16/3019 were disrespectful and judgmental toward Asian patrons who were speaking Chinese Mandarin. These patrons were at their own table having their own conversation in Mandarin Chinese. I heard the employees working behind the counter say disparaging comments about how the Chinese speaking patrons should be speaking English in public. Is this how Starbucks treats their customers? Are these Starbucks values? I sure hope not, but these employees working today presented racial judgment as Starbucks's values. I will never return to this location. Not sure if it's because of the new rules where you can sit as long as you want but it was like the grand central station. But due to the amazing crew behind the counter I didn't get frustrated waiting (and I'm an impatient ass). They chat you up while they are getting your items together and sometimes call you by name which still freaks me out how well they remember everyone. Even after long periods of absence. I got love for this morning crew. Always treated me with love, respect and kindness. And they didn't need any special Starbucks training to learn that, they've been treating people right since day one. (Again I speak only of the morning week crew) And for the people who want to run in and grab their order in less than 3 minutes - take your ass to McDonalds. I went there today to use my free reward and ordered a venti brown sugar oatmilk with light ice. They gave me extra ice. I was really disappointed to have wasted my reward on that. The amount of liquid in there was about the size of a small drink but I wasn't paying attention and had already left. 9/10 times that I go to this particular location, they mess up the order, even if the screen is correct and receipt attached to the drink is correct, it just seems like the baristas here don't care to read my order at all. There are sometimes they get it correct but it's often really bitter as if they don't even care about having correct proportions for ingredients. About two days ago they gave me someone elses drink after having spent about 15 minutes in the drive through. I can't walk very well but I wasn't going to leave with that. I walked in the store but mentioned I had accidentally drink a sip out of it. Breaking with character, the barista wanted the drink back when I asked if I could just have it even though I had drank out of it. Today was honestly the last straw for me for this location. I get people make mistakes, but 9/10 times is way too much for me. I feel like they don't care about the customers at all when it comes to the drinks. There are some nice people there, but I wouldn't come back here on the customer service alone. I have been going to this Starbucks for years, but it became my one and only "go-to" Starbucks during COVID because of the curbside service they offered. It worked great for me as I ended doing most of my grocery and Target runs online for pickup in the parking lot. As a disabled person, this was a great help! Target and Safeway are still offering curbside pickup, but apparently now that COVID is pretty much over, Starbucks no longer offers curbside pickup. This forces me to choose a different location, one of the few that offer drive thru, which always have long lines. This Starbucks is actually great, but the only reason I am giving them 3 stars instead of 5 is for dropping curbside service. At least please consider curbside for disabled people. I really love this Starbucks location! Staff is always super friendly and is really quick with taking and making the drink orders. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they have been offering curbside pickup which makes it really convenient to order from them. Usually by the time I pull up in a designated parking spot, I only have to wait a few seconds before one of the staff members comes out with my order and hands it through the car window. When I received the drink, he told me it's only for the tea and that "other employees probably do that and they shouldn't" while I understand that, he should have mentioned that to me before I paid. Updating my review to reflect their service + consistency. I've only been coming to this location because of convenience but it's honestly the worst Starbucks I've been to. Drinks are never consistent and their service is slow. I've gone to a Starbucks on a college campus that has 3x the number of customers, but I still get my drink in a timely manner. I made a mobile order, arrived ten minutes later, and they still hadn't started my drink yet. It wasn't even busy when I came in. I watched the barista make my drink from start to finish, and he was just really careless - didn't even pour the entire shot of coffee or steamed milk to fill up the cup. I've had three peppermint mochas here in the past month and all have been bland and watery. Besides the service, the baristas here aren't as friendly and welcoming as other places. This is where the honey and I sometimes go to pre-game before events. Mmmm coffee slurpee. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and the space was and has been each time we've returned, quite clean and well ordered. Our first visit they gave us both (separate orders) the wrong baked goods and we had to return them (one they had simply mixed up with another) but in all the visits since we've never had the same issue. This locale isn't close to either one of us anymore, but if we're in the area, I'd never turn the friendly service here down! read more
