I hate to give such a low review, but I visit a LOT of BRs and this is the ONLY one I've ever visited that does not give the full size shake I order. Not cool! The service is okay - nothing to write home about - and I wouldn't mind if I didn't get a partial milkshake. I've tried this location three times, as it is the closest to my work office. The first two times, I mentioned to the employee that the cup was not full. They responded that the small size comes with three scoops of ice cream... I know that because, as mentioned, I order way more BR milkshakes than I should from various locations. The third time I received the partial shake, I didn't say anything, except to myself that I will never visit this location again no matter how much I'm craving ice cream. Other locations I've visited have given me a dome lid and poured above the cup line or even gave me an extra little cup with excess shake. This location is so much better than others I've been to! The staff is really nice, as is the manager. This location does amazing cakes and they were able to customize it to exactly what each of my 2 daughters wanted for their birthday. The cakes turned out exactly how I wanted. Best of all the manager even delivered the cakes to my party location (Pump it Up) and the cakes were in perfect condition and right on time when they arrived! I've always had a good experience here. I mean I don't think I've ever had any other flavors besides Jamoca Almond Fudge and Chocolate Peanut Butter. I've stuck to the same two flavors for the past 10 years. It does sound pretty boring but I enjoy them every time, and it's not like I go to BRs every day. More like once every 6 months. Anyways, it's a clean store, look around you to see what kind of specials they have going on. I see a lot of reviews are mostly based off of their shakes, but again I've never had shakes here. The double scoop is what I always go for; served in a cup. The service was really good when I was here, the guy was very friendly and had an up beat personality. You can sample out flavors by asking him to give you a sample of it. The double scoop with my usual two flavors came up to about $5.50 I think? Not a bad price. The scoops are good sized scoops. This place is so odd. I have never in my life tasted such unusual and gross Baskin-Robbins ice cream. My daughter and I got two different flavors, basic ones. Chocolate, and chocolate chip. I tried hers thinking that maybe mine had just gone bad. I realized that hers tasted funny too. We didn't get sick, but then again we talked most of it. Why would I trust them after they didn't even my first order on file. Don't trust them Then I called another location (Irvine on culver) and the guy said he would ask his manager and decided to forget about me and not call me back. Thanks by the way. So I called this location (el toro). Spoke to a man, not sure if he was the manager. He said for sure he will have it done, no questions asked. He understood my situation and frustration with the other locations. He told me he would have his morning person come in early to make sure they can have it done on time. He even sent me pictures of two different color patterns and I actually chose the one that was not what I saw online. Now that's going above and beyond. I picked up my cake the next morning, which by the way was rush job. From what i'm told its 24 hours notice for special cakes. He was there and the person who had to come in early to make my cake. This branch is located next to the Coffee Bean and the Home Depot windmill that is a Pokémon GO gym. Since it was the 31st of the month I just went in to get a discount scoop. They were very nice. It's pretty narrow inside and has internal seating but one can just get it to go so one can play Pokémon GO while walking around the plaza. It tasted good, although I had to eat it quickly since it was warming up outside. I think it is close enough to the Coffee Bean to be able to get the PokéStop while sitting inside. read more

This place was great we needed a mud pie last minute we had called several 31 flavors and none of them had it. When we called this location they said they had one, it was very close to closing and we said we would be right there. We rushed in right before closing and grabbed the mud pie to pay for it and they asked if we would like anything written on it? And they wrote Happy Birthday on it for us. Can I give 0 stars?? I ordered an ice cream cake from this location to be delivered to my daughter's birthday party. Near the party date, because I am anal about these things, I called to confirm that the cake would be delivered in a timely manner, whereby I was reassured that they deliver to the party location all the time and know the drill. Come party date and time, cake was NOT delivered as promised, so the panicked party host and I called them, and they told us they mixed up the times! They bring the cake with 15 min to go before we'd be kicked out of our party room. Aaaand they simply said, "So sorry for the mix up," and left. Thinking back, I don't know why I even paid them! I was in such a hurry to get back to the party and the task of getting this cake onto dessert plates. The cake is, of course, frozen rock hard, so even though the party host frantically tried to warm a knife with hot water and slice through the cake, it was futile. Our guests had to leave with no cake, because the room was reserved for another party, and they had already started lining up to enter. We ended up trying to bring the cake home, but by the time we packed everything up and drove 20 min home, the cake was melted.....! This Baskin Robbins is very well managed or owned. Run professionally by Christine. I ordered a cake for my daughter and wanted to make a few minor changes. Just remove 2 of the princesses so it would just be a Cinderella cake and change a yellow icing color to pink and blue. She was happy to accommodate me and even called me to go over my online order to make sure we were on the same page. Very nice and friendly. I cannot say enough about how awesome this Baskin-Robbins is. The manager and the cake decorator went above and beyond to create two beautiful ice cream cakes with photos of my daughter's class on them. I was in a desperate bind after I called another Baskin-Robbins to find out what the lead time required was, only to be told when I arrived to order that they actually could not create the cake in the time I was quoted. After calling multiple BRs with no luck, I finally found this location. The manager at the Lake Forest location went out of his way to ensure my cakes were created, and the cake decorator came in on her day off to decorate. I told her to keep it as plain as possible so that she didn't have to spend too much time doing our cakes on her day off, but she exceeded all expectations and added pops of color and fun to the cakes. Customer service like this is incredibly rare these days! The cakes were gorgeous and absolutely delicious, and all the kids and parents at our party were super impressed.
