All of our long time residents grew up with 31 Flavors long before Gelato was a thing on Sunset Blvd. Otherwise, it was Thrifty's if you could only spare 15 cents. Service is excellent here and their selections are always fresh. Open late every evening and a great stop for a hot evening walk on summer nights in the neighborhood. Came to this Baskin Robbins location hoping to get more of that Dubai Chocolate Bar that I got the other day at another location, but unfortunately, this location does not carry them. I did have a feeling that this location wouldn't have the Dubai Chocolate Bar, so I went to the other location in Glendale, and I was lucky. However, my visit to this particular location was pleasant enough as it was. The guy was very informative about the locations that carry the ice cream I was looking for, and he was friendly and professional. My boyfriend and I got a single scoop each: mint chocolate chip and pralines 'n cream. Haven't had Baskin Robbins for a while (well, I did have Baskin Robbins every day in Korea 2 weeks ago; Korea's BR is the world's best) here in the states, and it was still as good and nostalgic as I remember. Haven't been to this location in quite awhile. Plenty of parking for plenty of shops in this mini strip mall, but parking can be challenging. Street parking is available as well. Love the ice cream at Baskin-Robbins, especially when it's free! I printed up my coupon which was emailed to me. I signed up many years ago and I still get a free kids scoop ice cream for my birthday. Multiple ice cream flavors to choose from. They even have sorbet. Get your scoop in a cup or cone. I frequent Los Angeles often to visit family. I often stop at the shopping center on the corner of Sunset Blvd and Golden Gate Ave. I frequent Domino's Pizza, Baskin Robins, Jasmine Cleaners and Ruby Fruit. I used to witness homeless people using drugs, people selling drugs and loitering. In the last couple of weeks, I've noticed a change. I haven't seen any homeless people asking for money or using drugs. I feel safer and enjoy being a customer in this area. I recently noticed, there is a new security company. These guys have been doing an exceptional job cleaning up this area and they work closely with the Police Dept which makes me feel that much safer. I came during the stay at place order to pickup a cake for my husband's birthday. I ordered it online and noticed I couldn't use the ice cream option I wanted. When I called to change the order they were extremely pleasant and accommodating. I went to pick up the order right on time and it was ready to go. The place looked extremely clean and the workers all had masks on and they even had plexiglass on the cash register. (Dined 10/03/12 W @ 9pm): There's absolutely nothing wrong with having ice cream for dinner! My friend had got home and she was still on an ice cream kick from the the other night, so thankfully I had printed-out a buy-one-get-one-free coupon emailed to me from Baskin-Robbins the other day that promoted their flavor of the month - "Trick Oreo Treat", so off we went to our neighborhood location. As luck would have it, there was a location a short walking distance from where we lived. We both loved to walk whenever we could and the night was still comfortably warm, so with coupon in-hand, we gleefully marched out the door for a sweet dinner. I called ahead to make sure they were still open (they closed at 10pm), but when we arrived about ten minutes later, the chairs were already placed on the tables and the two young ladies were cleaning up for the evening. But all was good as they were still open and the selection of frozen goodness (looked to be over twenty flavors to choose from!) were teasingly on display like a stroll down the red-light district. We immediately knew we were going to get a scoop of the Trick Oreo Treat, but something came over me and I giddily asked also for a scoop of Coffee Cinnamon Bun ($2.09 a scoop). My friend took my lead and proceeded to order a double-scoop too (she got a chocolate selection). The woman who served our scoops must have been in a generous mood. The size of our scoops resembled the navel oranges we had at home...score! She skillfully placed them atop the sugar cones and carefully handed them to us. There was no stopping us as we immediately bit and licked into our dinner before we even paid! The Coffee Cinnamon Bun tasted like a breakfast (breakfast dessert for dinner!?), and I loved the powerful cinnamon flavor. All it was missing was the drizzled frosting. The Trick Oreo Treat was just that! I tasted the Oreo, but then I would taste something chewy which I had no idea what it was. Maybe candy corn!? I dunno, but it all worked. We took a slower walking pace back home, which gave us enough time to finish as we reached the door. We may have lost some drops along Sunset Blvd., but most of it got into our bellies! The smiles on our faces were confirmation enough of a treat well-received. The service was great from the time I called, to the immediate assistance we got (we were the only customers), to the massive mounds of scoops, to the nice "have a good night." No complaints whatsoever. Great job, ladies. Parking was ample as they share it with several other establishments in an outdoor strip mall. There was also metered street parking along Sunset Blvd. as well as the side streets (make sure to check the signs as many of these streets require resident permit parking). Overall, I've always been a fan of Baskin-Robbins, and this experience was no different. I loved their flavor of the month and seasonal selections as well as the good old standards. Plus, they had healthier selections if you're so inclined. I found very good value based on the prices I quoted above (total bill after coupon was just over $4.00; no tip required). Sure, a half-gallon or larger from the grocery store would be cheaper, but I've realized in my older years that I don't like to have the same flavor more than a couple times. The atmosphere was very bright, inviting, and spacious enough for several tables (none outside) and room to view the ice cream freezer. Tuesday night walking in for a treat! The whole neighborhood stops by, and gets along well. I get my scoops here, and it takes me a week to work it off, but I am so happy! I would have them hand pack me a bunch of ice cream, but I wouldn't make it home before finishing it. I think it tastes yummy, but the thing that tops it off isn't the different cones or toppings. there are a few simple rules in life: eat, drink, be happy. in my case, my simple rules in life are: eat, drink cappuccino blasts from baskin robbins during the summer, be happy. my cappuccino blast addiction started many moons ago in high school. at one point, i was so enamored by this drink, i tried getting a job there in order to learn the "secret" cappuccino blast mixing formula. unfortunately, i was not hired, not because i couldn't use a blender, but because i could only work for the summer. it's a great drink and this location has been here FOREVER. nice to see old fixtures in the neighborhood especially with the ever changing silverlake that i've grown up in. the staff is efficient and this location is clean with parking. as the days are getting a bit cooler, i will bid the cappuccino blast adieu. your faithful fan will come back next summer, as always. read more

I was out with my girlfriend and another couple. We had just had some very good mexican food and my girlfriend and her friend were itching for a banana split. So we looked up the nearest Baskin Robbins and headed to this one on Sunset (Silver Lake). We called ahead of time to make sure it was still open and it was, when we pulled up all the blinds were down and the sign was off. Strange? So we go to the door and it wasnt supposed to close for another 45 minutes. We tried the door and it was open, all the chairs were up and the tables were blocked off. We didn't think much of it, well luckily they had a banana split and I ordered the Pralines and Cream. We got our ice cream, and proceeded to sit down at one of the tables. One of the girls working behind the counter said the sitting area was closed... We were in the process of taking the chairs off a table to sit down. We asked why it would be closed when the shop was still open for another 45 minutes and she just reiterated her previous statement of that area being closed (quite rudely). She then started eyeballing us to make sure we didn't sit down. The other woman behind the counter was very nice, and looked embarrassed that we were being treated this way. Well fine, we were forced to stand out in the cold eating our average ice cream. My girlfriend and her friend really enjoyed the banana split nonetheless. So it didn't turn out all that bad. I have ordered from here twice now through Postmates. I am ordering and paying for Fresh Packed ice cream. I pay $12.50 a container because it's fresh packed and a totally different, much better quality than the supermarket version (which is also half the price). Both times they have sent me pre-packed supermarket ice cream (which I will not eat bc it's very poor quality and disgusting) without warning or asking me if I still want it. Maybe they ran out of the flavor I wanted in fresh ice cream but they should let me know and they absolutely should not send supermarket ice cream that sells for $5 in the store. My boyfriend and I were desperately craving ice cream one night, so we called our nearest Baskin-Robbins (this particular location) and asked them what time they closed. The girl on the phone told me 10 pm. We arrived at around 9:15pm ordered our ice cream and noticed all the chairs were up on the tables. My boyfriend asked if we could sit down to enjoy our ice cream and the girl behind the counter said they were about to close (it was 9:17pm by this time). We didn't want to drive home with our ice cream and risk melting nor did we want to stand outside and eat it, so we proceeded to stand up in the parlor and eat our ice cream. Finally fed up, my boyfriend asked if we could sit down as more costumers were arriving. A different girl said yes we could but then the same girl that told us they were about to close reiterated and told us we had to sit at the small table in the back. We then went to that table took down the chairs and proceeded to eat. I noticed that other people were arriving who didn't seem to mind that they were going to have a difficult time eating inside however none of the other customers attempted to stay, they got their ice cream and left. I however found it very rude and uncomfortable. The chairs shouldn't be on the tables especially 45 minutes before closing time. I understand that the employees want to get out of there as fast as they can but there is no excuse. paying nearly $5 dollars for one scoop of ice cream should allow me to at least enjoy it at a table. I think more people should complain about this issue, not many other people seem to care. read more
