I ordered Founder's Favorite. The portion was huge, definitely enough for 2 adults. My husband and I really enjoyed it. The guy mixes up actual cookies into the ice cream. It was really cool to watch him mixing all ingredients. It looked like he was kneading bread dough. He also validated out parking ticket. Regular parking ticket is $10. With validation parking costs $3. Absolutely delightful ice cream, great and fast service!

After a spicy meal, I craved something sweet. Cold Stone Creamery fit the bill. The raspberry sorbet is the softest ice cream in their freezer (no milk) but their delicate touch mixed the chocolate chips just right and didn't turn the sorbet to mush. I was in and out with a mid afternoon order on a weekday. Glad I found them.

Smiles and sharing came with this scoop. The staff was really accommodating and helpful in making my daughter sure she got the right mix.

I experienced one of the best services at a Coldstone's ever. We came in after lunch around 330pm, and the person that served us (Alexis) was very understanding and helpful to make the perfect mix. Even offered to change it out of our wasn't perfect. My daughter loved it so much she scooped all the melted liquid with her spoon. Thank you for making our daddy daughter day extra special. You guys are amazing!

With famous middle eastern ice-cream aficionado Mashti Malone's about a block away, popular established corporate juggernauts are vying to oust the little Mom and pop store. With rising prices though, cold stone sells great ice-cream no mistake in that, but it's something that customers such as I will return to only on occasion. This of course is strictly to see what new creations they have too offer. Their classic bake battered cake ice-cream is a good choice for any patrons otherwise unfamiliar with their offerings. Recommended to whip in a couple homemade side brownies into the cake-batter and garnished atop a regular waffle cone. Cold Stone might not be as good as Mashtis or Newbies Salt and Straw, but don't count it out. It still outperforms baskin Robbins and tom and jerrys and most soft-serve niche food trucks.

We visited this place on the Christmas afternoon and the place was not as crowded as we hoped it would be. We were standing behind 6 people and had to wait almost 20-30 minutes before we could choose our ice creams. There was only one woman who was preparing and serving the ice creams and managing the counter and payment as well. She was trying her best to keep pace and apologized to all of us for keeping us waiting for so long but I find it strange that there were no more employees on Christmas afternoon at such a busy place.

What a unique, delicious ice cream spot!!…read more After walking around Hollywood Boulevard, this ended up being the perfect sweet treat. It is hidden where you will have to look for it to find it, which I feel is a bummer for the business because this ice cream place is absolutely, uniquely delicious! The shop itself is on the smaller side, but it was clean and had a few tables to enjoy your ice cream before heading back out. The workers there were so sweet and helpful! We ordered the Hokey Pokey Butter Pecan and the Strawberries & Cream. WOW. The texture of this soft serve is unlike most places I've been to--it's incredibly rich, silky, and so creamy without feeling heavy. The Butter Pecan was definitely my favorite. It had the perfect balance of buttery sweetness, crunchy pecans, and that caramel drizzle on top took it over the edge. The Strawberries & Cream was just as delicious, tasting fresh and light with a natural strawberry flavor instead of an overly sweet syrup. I also loved that everything is made to order. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, and it makes for such a fresh, smooth ice cream. I need to come back to try their coffee's and other flavors! I genuinely hope this business goes far because you don't come across flavors or creamy soft serve like this very often. If you're spending the day in Hollywood and need a dessert break, I'd absolutely recommend stopping by Hokey Pokey!

It's a light vanilla caramel flavor that reminded me of Harry Potter World's Butter beer. YUM!! This silky, chill treat was MAGIC! I arrived at Hokey Pokey LA on Wednesday (around 4PM). Parking is difficult. It's by the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Staff is curt and efficient. Staff moved quickly. I immediately got my ice cream. As mentioned, I ordered the Hokey Pokey Ice Cream ($8.95 - Regular Cup). WOW!! It arrived glimmering. That ice cream melted very quickly, and its ingredients tasted very high quality. It reminded me of a light, silky vanilla butterscotch. The closest comparison is that it's an ice cream version of Harry Potter's Butter Beer. YESSS!!! So good! On ambiance, Hokey Pokey LA was not comfortable because the sunlight brightly shined onto all the tables. The walls are glass, so there was no shade from the blaring hot sun. Thankfully, there's a circular public seat a few feet away that had some shade. The location appeared very clean and sleek. Overall, I had a memorable, wonderful experience at Hokey Pokey LA. I am VERY happy that I'd tried this lovely spot. If craving some AMAZING ice cream, I happily recommend. 5 out of 5! Go!!!

You can go to a run down old diner in any city, but this is the city of the stars. On this trip even though we were already heading to the establishment it must have been an extra slow day because someone was out on the boulevard trying to direct traffic to the restaurant. About 1/3 of the tables were full when we walked in, and it took a few minutes for us to be seen and seated. The wait staff is perhaps a bit understaffed to really be at their best. Our server did not explain much to us as far as the jukebox at our table, if we could use it and how... it would have been nice to know that. I ordered a Caesar salad and a coffee milkshake. When the server asked me if I wanted a small or large salad I asked what the difference in size was, since it wasn't explained on the menu to which they just kind of shrugged at me. Regardless of the perhaps lackluster service I really loved my food, the true, lived in vintage aesthetic and overall experience. Is 10.25 perhaps a bit expensive for a milkshake, i'd say so....but considering the overpriced reality of any trip to Hollywood I think it's something I would not regret spending my money on. Even though I can see why someone would rate this spot a 3, I simply cannot let my own rating fall below a 5 because I know the next time I'm in town it will be looming in my mind as the ideal place to feed my belly and nostalgic heart.

I gotta say - I am truly shocked in the best way possible just how good Mel's Drive In is. Now,…read moreit's not the absolutely most spectacular meal I've ever had, but considering how much of a tourist trap it is and how small the crowd was for dinner on a Friday evening, it was pretty darn good stuff. Our server was Juno and she was one of the best waitresses around! Sweet, attentive, super friendly, and her smile couldn't be beat! I ordered the short rib grilled cheese with a side of twisty fries or curly fries, and a Grants milkshake.. The food is definitely expensive the sandwich alone was something like $25 for the sandwich plus $2 for the fries being "upgraded" to curly fries. The shake was $11. For the size of the sandwich, $25 is steep. But you do get a big pile of fries for the upgrade price. The sandwich was toasted well and crispy on both sides, the short rib was tender a tad dry but great flavor, and there was a good amount of cheese! I think it sat for a while because the cheese had congealed so the timing was a slight issue but didn't ruin the sandwich. The fries on the other hand were a big miss. They were SO salty and pretty dry, like my mouth was parched for water every time I ate a curly fry. I don't know what happened there but the $2 was a waste. Now back to the good - the shake was amazing. For $11 they give you a full glass plus the extra in the metal cup. It was so well balanced between the nutella and banana flavors without being overly rich or sweet. It was thick too and had really great consistency. Sadly the sandwich filled me up so I couldn't finish the shake but I would definitely return for a milkshake in the future! Overall, a solid experience and I was pleasantly surprised, and I'd be happy to return if I was in the area!
