We had the following - Salted Caramel Deluxe, Double Chocolate Chunk, Double Chocolate Mint, Chocolate Chunk Chocolate, Snickerdoodle, & White Chocolate Macadamia. Everyone agreed that the Salted Caramel Deluxe was the best!!!! All the cookies were, of course, really sweet. You may want to reach for one of the milks that they sell there to wash everything down. Cookies are so yummy!! Nice, warm, and sweet depending on what you get! I love their double chocolate chunk so perfect in my opinion! The location is a good spot especially since they are open late at night, so stoping here after a couples drinks is good choice! The service however, was a little strange but still decent. My girlfriends and I stopped by here on Saturday night, there was a couple in front ordering mind you all their guests look like teenagers and the guy working that night definitely was a teenager he had a beanie on, and one AirPod in, and was maybe even high... Anyways, the couple in front took advantage of him being in that state so they asked for some samples and even asked for a free scoop of something. They finally after like 10 minutes of talking to the guy, finally got their order and left. Then it was my turn and the worker says "oh shit, I forgot to get their payment" as the bill on the tablet is still there. like sir? Anyways he just says whatever and takes my order and my friends. I get my order quick and easy, just cookie. My two friends order two cookies and they want to pay with cash, the guy says "I don't feel like counting right now can you pay a different way". My friends say no he says whatever and counts the change lol. Weird service experience that took longer then it should've to get cookies, but funny as well. I love the fact they aren't gigantic cookies like some of the other cookie chains. They are also served warm which makes all the difference. The cookies are nice and soft and gooey, but with that buttery crisp outer edges. They are ideal cookies in my opinion. I have tried most of the flavors, the chocolate chip and the double chocolate are my favorite, but the white chocolate macadamia, the M&M, and snicker doodle are pretty good too. I like the small dippers too, although I miss the cream cheese frosting which is some of the best cream cheese frosting. Please bring it back! Parking can be difficult, I tend to park in the red zone in front with hazards on to get my order. Ordering online makes this much quicker so you aren't there long. read more

But it didn't quite hit like I needed it to. Me and my group ordered two things: Classic 6 pack of cookies and an ice cream sandwich. For the 6 pack our favorites were the double chocolate mint, and snickerdoodle. For the ice cream sandwich we had the top cookie a s'mores deluxe and the bottom cookie a confetti deluxe. Unfortunately our top options for cookies were out. We came right after midnight on Sunday morning, so that was a bit disappointing especially since they don't close until 3am on Sunday morning. Service was quick. There wasn't a lot of people in there so we had all day to pick and they didn't seem annoyed that we didn't know what we wanted. The inside of this location is small. One group of 4 was already in side and had already orders and it feel cramped with our group of 4 inside with them. Definitely a place that's meant to grab and go. Either way it was a 3.5 out of 5. That extra .5 star is because the ice cream sandwich is huge. I'm not sure if the cookies are THAT good to justify the price but you gotta at least try it once to judge for yourself. read more

Came here on a weekday afternoon. There was one other person in store and one employee. We were greeted and ordered. I ordered a chocolate chunk, double chocolate chunk and double chocolate mint. There was an odd smell in the air that I could nit place and someone else who came into the store commented on it as well. As a bonus for waiting we got a peanut butter and jelly cookie. The chocolate chunk was good. I didn't eat it hot and it was still tasty. They remind me of thicker version of great american coookie company (not sure if they existed in malls on the west coast like they did in the midwest). The double chocolate chunk was super tasty. I enjoyed this one the second most. I did not try the mint cookie but my husband said it was very mint heavy (he likes mint so not sure if that is a positive or a negative). The stand out cookie by far was the peanut butter and jelly cookie which is a cookie I NEVER would have ordered as I do not like peanut butter cookies. This one was only lightly flavored of peanut butter but the sweet jelly flavors came through (if you don't like super sweet cookies may want to skip them). I am glad I tried them and will scoop some up if I am in the area but I have another cookie place that is closer to me, who has cookies I like more. read more

My favorite flavors currently are double mint chocolate chip (reminds me of Andes candy), candy apple, confetti cake, everything I have tried from here tastes home made especially the classic cookies, not too thick which is perfect for me. I also love the ice cream too it goes perfectly with the cookies and has a homemade taste to it. I highly recommend getting your sweets here if you have an appetite for deserts. So I did not plan on doing a review for Insomnia Cookies but when I ate these cookies, I was truly blown away. I ordered the Vegan Birthday Cake cookie, the Reese's Peanut Butter Filled Deluxe cookie and the Sugar cookie. ALL OF THEM were on point! That Vegan Birthday Cake cookie was just as good as the others. The Reese's cookie was warm and decadent. I thought about going to get another one today. Both times I went (I picked up an order for my students one day and an order for myself the second day) the store was empty. I was able to pick up my orders at the time I requested to pick them up. The store is located on a street with street parking. But if you order ahead, you can attempt to park in the lot off of Cass and Hornblend real quick and hurry back. The workers are chill and nice. It is not a space with seating inside, this is more of a togo store. They got other items besides cookies. They have ice cream, ice cream cookie sandwiches, icing, cookie cakes and more. It was my first time and I was pleasantly surprised by how good the cookies were. They were hot, tasted fresh and were melt in your mouth delicious. While in the area we were looking for a sweet treat while picking up dinner for another local hot spot. We used Yelp and found Insomnia Cookies. Takeout was available so we stopped in to grab what we read were the "best cookies" and went with a special they had that included mini cookies. They only take electronic payments, no cash, so in case your a cash only person, be prepared. Most of the cookie orders really focused on cookie sandwiches but give that we still needed to eat our dinner we were picking up we weren't sure it was the right move & would last that long (ice cream part). The mini cookies left us hangin'. Looking back, we probably should have gotten the full-size cookies as the mini's we picked up tasted absolutely no different than a packet of mini-toll house break-aways. Yeap, these mini's just didn't leave a great impression... Even after picking them up, they traveled with us back home and we still have cookies left.
