My cousin and I wanted to stop here before our pre-hike. Oh boy was this a heavy meal that I felt like I wanted to go into food coma afterwards lol. It was still early so there wasn't much people on a Wednesday morning. Batter Up specialize in waffle sandwiches and when I saw the mac daddy waffle sandwich on the menu, I knew I had to order it. It was Mac n cheese style waffle. Omg. Honestly portions were so big and filling. I could have shared it with my cousin but we each ordered our own. Love the hashbrowns. Definitely got some leftovers. She ordered the mvp waffle sandwich which had meat patty in the waffle sandwich. Dang that looks good too. Overall, staff were super friendly and welcoming. Service was quick!

Casual diner with great food! Lots of parking available and space to meet up with friends or family. Service was friendly and quick, with helpful suggestions. Looking forward to trying something else on the next visit!

Wow. Bacon Egg American Cheese on a waffle. Yummy! Mimosa! Sun shade mix on pet friendly patio.

I've driven by this place many times but I never felt the craving to go. We heard from a friend that this place was struggling, so I thought I would go and show some support and finally try this place out. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised! I don't tend to eat brunch or heavy American breakfast like waffles and pancakes much but this spot had some pretty good waffles. I got the Pinch Hitter, which is a waffle sandwich with chicken sausage, egg, and Havarti cheese. Although the waffle got a bit soggy from condensation, it was still an enjoyable sandwich, the perfect combination of sweet and savory. If you're down for some classic waffles and breakfast sandwiches, this is the perfect spot for it!

Casual spot. We went late and the breakfast was still really good and they still had fresh coffee. The chicken and waffles was really good. Big pieces of chicken over a full sized waffle. I had the barnyard scramble which was great if you aren't in the mood for something sweet. Very relaxed vibe. Very clean and well organized.

We stopped in on a Sunday morning. I thought It would be like most places in the city and jammed. It was not. We arrived shortly after opening and found it mostly empty. You place your order at the counter and they call your number when it's ready. The food was tasty and quick. It has a pub atmosphere so it might be fun in the evenings as there is a full bar. It may be good in the evening and the next day if you feel like a little Irish for your coffee. Bathrooms require a key and are outside and around the corner. All in all a good stop and I would definitely stop again.

Went to the soft opening. Food was AMAZING. Friendly service. Owner(John) Came out to greet us. Also checked up on us to make sure meal was good. Prices are reasonable, service is great. Food was ON POINT. Will be frequenting it again, Now that it is alot closer to my house. Please come and support this local business..

Ace and MVP sandwich. And fielders choice.

Craving waffles, we tried Batter Up. Disappointed they were out of chicken for their famous dish, we opted for the MVP and Ace waffle sandwiches, plus a custom Fielder's choice. The Fielder's waffle was crispier and tastier than the sandwich waffle, so my son ended up eating his sandwich deconstructed. The service and food were good, and the place was clean, but the outdoor bathroom situation was inconvenient. We need to leave and go around to the back to the bathrooms, which is not convenient with kids.

Chicken and waffles delicious!! My friend recommended this place highly and it did not disappoint! Nice service and chill vibes.

Waffles without all the hassle! I really liked my Cheesecake waffle with strawberries! It was not overly sweet but well balanced and the waffle was easy to cute with my knife. They are large waffles that fill you up, so it's okay to go hungry! They also have a full bar so you can pair your waffle with a Bloody Mary or mimosa, for a full breakfast experience.

Friday 9/22/23 I got a takeout order: fielders choice (3 sides: 2 French toast sides & 1 waffle side) for $11.75, the mvp (waffle breakfast sandwich) for $9.75, and the cinnamon Lolly waffle for $2.50. The fielders choice allows you choose ANY 3 sides for the flat price of $11.75 which is a great value option. The waffle was solid but the French toast was horrible. The mvp sandwich is a cool idea but it wasn't as good as expected and it's a little pricey for the size of the sandwich you end up getting. The cinnamon Lolly waffle was unique and decent. All in all, this place is solid but nothing here really stands out but if you absolutely love waffles I'd recommend you checking it out.

I got the 1-piece chicken and waffle and it didn't disappoint. It's exactly what I wanted and expected. I also tried the gingerbread latte and that wasn't bad either. The woman who took our order was very friendly and personable. It took us a while to try this out because we mostly think about it after they close. It's interesting they have a bar area but it's also a good place for kids.

It's just one of those places you try once. It's too sweet for my taste. Small location, little parking space.

Meh! It's a neat idea but there just isn't that much flavor. The waffles didn't come out crispy and the syrup is not very good either.

Ask the Community - Batter Up

Gluten Free options?

I don't think they do.

How many calories does the cheesecake waffle have?

If you have to ask, too many.

Does batter up have good quality coffee and espresso drinks?

The coffee was delish! Both the regular coffee and the espresso drinks were tasty.

Do you have mimosas?

Hi Tanya, Thanks for reaching out to us. Batter Up does not. But Good news! We are in a food hall and there is a bar right next to us that serves a variety of mimosas. We hope you'll stop by! Sincerely, Julie Robinson - Owner

I recently was at your Beaverton BG Food Cartel location and had a sandwich with sausage, bacon, maple butter, cheddar cheese and spiced apples. Do you know what it is called? It was delicious!

We're are not at the BG food cartel. You must have been at another place. I do invite you to…

Do they have any gluten free options?

At this time we don't have gluten free waffles, sorry! We do have breakfast options without waffles, however. And we're always happy to make custom breakfasts, whenever we can.

Any vegetarian breakfast options?

We can substitute Hashbrowns for meat on any of the sandwich options. We also have fruit & waffle options. We will have a Blueberry/Lemon waffle on the menu thru the end of July. Hope this Helps! Julie Robinson

You are no longer a food cart at this location, correct?

Amanda - We just have the one location at 4725 SW Lombard Ave, Beaverton. We've closed the cart in Aloha. Thanks for asking and hope to see you soon in Beaverton!

They have an amazing selection of fresh breads, rolls, cookies, muffins, seasonal specials and so much more! It's a small space but you can see everyone working hard in the back baking away. We were greeted upon entering with the loveliest service offering fresh bread and butter. (How do you make whole wheat taste so good??) My daughter and I enjoyed the Dakota as well with the regular and garlic butter and of course we got Marionberry cinnamon rolls to go and I love that you have the option between frosted and unfrosted. The icing on the cake for visit was my daughter got a leprechaun coloring page and was told she can color it and bring it back to trade for a giant cookie and have it displayed in the shop! What a wonderful way to engage the kiddos. Thank you so much for that fun surprise! I always knew about this little bread making factory, but now I finally get what the hype is all about. Here's a few little reasons as to what makes this place "Great!" * Parking Situation * It's next to a Safeway, so plenty of spaces for parking. People come and go, so front row parking is usually obtainable. * Dining Expectations * First of all, they're a tiny shop, and there's only one long stand-up table against the window. So basically, no 'sit-down' dining. If you're grabbing lunch, you can also expect a lunch line due to its popularity. Sometimes the line can be out the door. * The Harvest Offerings * What impressed me most, was walking in with a warm welcome from the staff, and being offered a slice of bread to sample. They even offer some of their buttery spreads you can spread on it too. And it happens with every visit! Here's a few sandwiches I've tried: ~ Classic Turkey (1/2 sandwich, $6) made with their garlic cheddar bread. A simple sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, slices of turkey, mayo, and Tillamook cheddar. It's that soft bread that made it all so yummy. ~ Tuna Salad Sandwich (whole, $10), and I gotta say their tuna ain't so bad either. Not heavy on the dill flavor, but flavorful and filling enough. I had this on their wheat bread, and I'd say they make a tasty whole wheat! ~ Other favorites I've tried, their Club sando with Turkey slices and bacon. And their BLTA with avocado of course. Both are just yummy classics. Yes, I'd say their offerings are basic sandwiches, but really you gotta experience this place just because of the bread alone. They do have a display case full of pastries like their breakfast bun with egg, two types of cinnamon rolls, two types of bread pudding, brownies, scones, muffins, and various types of cookies. Look behind you and they've got a shelf with 'Day old cookies' that are still sweet to eat! But in closing, come here for the samples, come here for the sandos, come here for the pastries! What more can you ask for? (Well, I did ask if they can toast the bread for my sando, but they said they cannot. I get it. Just thought I'd ask lol).

I tend to pick from the shelf-stable pastries since for some reason whenever I visit it is always hot. That means I have to skip at the cake/pastry case even though the desserts look so tantalizing. My favorites are: Kare pan: House made beef curry inside of a deep fried donut coated with panko. I don't understand how it's possible for this creation to remain crispy even though it's stored at room temperature instead of the more usual warming lamps. The curry is thick and has generous chunks of beef and vegetables. The bread isn't really "donut" per se since that brings to mind something sweet with a tender crumb. It's more of a fried bread dough that's deliciously chewy. Bacon and blue cheese mini epi: Épis de Blé is a bread that looks like a sheaf of wheat that is very similar to a baguette. Their take has a chewier crumb and crust instead of a shattering crispy outside as with a traditional bread of this type. The cheese and bacon make this such a luxurious bread. They don't use the shelf stable bacon; they use the good stuff so it adds a great texture to the bread. It's not heavy in blue cheese flavor, so even though I don't like blue cheese, I still adore this bread.
