Nothing compares to Bay Ridge Pizza! And I am speaking from experience! A few years ago, my family and I moved out of Brooklyn (a big mistake) thinking that we could find happiness in Staten Island. Well, Staten Island is beautiful, it's quiet, and the people are decent. It reminds me of how Bay Ridge used to be. However, even though many pizza owners left Brooklyn and moved to Staten Island, their pizza stinks! And I have lived on the island for over five years and I have yet to find a great pizzeria! Every now and then I go to Brooklyn for business, and this time I decided to stop by Bay Ridge Pizza, and it's interesting because I now don a beard, and through the beard and all, my old friend Gasper, the owner of the establishment, recognized me! He said, "Hey! I haven't seen you in such a long time, but it felt like yesterday since I last saw him. " I told him, "I miss your pizza because it is the absolute best pizza in Brooklyn, NY!" It is actually second to none, and I have tried pizza from several pizzerias. Moreover, Gasper, his workers, and the cooks are all great people. Gasper even prepares the pizza before baking! There's not much to see here. Believe the bad reviews, because they are the norm and not the outlier Ordered delivery from here and given a 45 min ETA even though I'm a few blocks away but it took more than 90 minutes for the food to arrive. I waited 1 hr plus before finally calling. They put me on hold for another 5 minutes when I could clearly hear the dude chatting away in the background. He picks the phone up again when ready, and gives me a lame excuse about the delivery guys phone not working? Oddly enough, pizza shows up 10 minutes after that... It was clearly an old ready-made pizza that had been sitting in the store a while which they reheated. The crust was stale, hard, and difficult to chew. They handle their own deliveries (even if you order on seamless) and do a crappy job of it. Unapologetic, make no effort, and give you crap for your money. It's one thing to be late, but another to provide a poor quality product. Never again, avoid at all costs! I hope this review saves you from making the same mistake I did. read more

The marinara was not as flavorful as I would have liked it to be, but the cheese was delicious! I love me some mozzarella! The crust was what you would expect from hand tossed pie dough. They spread just a thin layer of marinara on the pizza and then load you up with cheese and topping of your choice. The hot dog puff (or kolache as we would call it in Texas) was rolled in some sort of heavenly tasting dough. My sister thought it was okay. We attempted to order a ceaser salad, but the guy said it'd take 20 minutes. 20 minutes for a salad! Really? I didn't even want chicken on it. Then we thought we'd try the mozzarella sticks. Not sure how I lived a few blocks Away for over 4 years and never tried this place , I finally gave it a try tonight and I'm pleasantly surprised. First of all , they were so welcoming and nice that it makes you want to come back and order from them again . I had a regular slice and was so satisfied by how crunchy the dough was and how fresh the sauce tasted , it wasn't salty and had the perfect balance of cheese and sauce. It's some of the best pizza in bayridge Ana their consistent quality keeps my family coming back time and time again. The staff is very friendly and it has a real small neighborhood feel to the place.They have a huge menu if you are feeling like having something other than pizza. They have pasta dishes, soup, salads, appetizers, hot and cold sandwiches. They also have a lot of gluten free options such gluten free pastas and gluten free pizza including a cauliflower crust pizza which is super delicious and crispy. I came here to grab a quick bite for dinner. The staff here are very friendly and great. I got myself a bottle of coke and a chicken parm sandwich. The chicken parm was tasty. Usually I think there is nothing special about a chicken parm sandwich, but this was definitely one of the better chicken parm sandwiches I've had. Just the right amount of sauce, chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly, and the bread was soft. Usually at most pizzerias, you pay before you get your food, but the staff told me to have a seat, they bought my food to me, and told me to pay after I enjoy my meal. Really appreciated that. We have used this place for over 10 years. Mostly eat in or pickup. We have tried to be understanding of their incredibly SLOW delivery service but no more. We ordered at 5:10 PM. The pizza (I got half cheese half pepperoni) was excellent! It's heavier than many other Brooklyn pizzas. The crust was the absolute perfect thickness, crispy but not hard. Ordered 2 grandma style pies over the phone. Specifically asked if they made the type with fresh mozzarella grandma style. I was told yes. Ordered 2 pies for a whopping total of $42. The pies took an hour to arrive , were probably a little bigger than half the pizza box and were essentially crust with sauce. U could not see or taste the cheese. Horrible experience!! I usually order from a different place but decided to try this one bc other place was closed. What a terrible mistake! BUFFOLO CHICKEN pizza came with sweet sauce and chicken didn't look like chicken and was so hard to chew it was terrible. Sweet sauce was muxed with hot sauce it reminded me Chinese sweet and sour chicken but the chicken was so gross I wanted to puke. I WASTED $30, and when I called and told them I'm not going to eat it and would like my money back the owner told me I'm not getting another pizza or my money with this arrogant voice.
